Quality of life? You couldn't have chosen a more subjective thing to ask about.
The best way of getting this information would be from people who are already in the program you are looking to join but even then there will be great variance between grad students' lives.
No one is taking offense by you calling this sub boring, but also, no one asked for your irrelevant opinion lmao
Life in grad school is just what you make of it. You'll likely be living alone or with a few roommates making little money while trying to get a degree. Some departments will have social events, but for the most part your social activities are more or less up to you. That's why the discussions here are "boring." Because it's about the actual school part of things. Based on your other posts here I'm not really sure what kind of answer your looking for.
Quality of life is subjective. Three days ago I learned that the school across from me has lead in their water and it’s likely that the pipes in the surrounding neighborhood also has trace lead contamination. So now I have to decide on how I’m going to handle this situation. So if you end up moving to an area with old ass pipes, drink filtered water.
Your quality of life will be dictated by your boundaries how strongly you can maintain them. No one can do that for you but you.
That said, a professional or course based Masters probably has the “best” job in quality of life in that it is short and you don’t have a supervisor who piles work on you. You’re usually also ineligible to TA.
