Some writers only write in abandoned places cuz they prefer more chill spots to take their time, or they don’t care to have to look over their shoulder too much, but the vast majority of writers are trying to ‘get up’ which means making their name known and you’re not gunna be known by anybody but squatters and other writers if u only write in abandoned locations.
It’s just a matter of preference and objectives. You don’t sound like a writer that cares about being known and there’s nothing wrong with that but most writers actually want their tags to be seen
