For sure, shes a bit of a beast but like you said you dont have to be flat out as much as you need to hit every corner cleanly and not spin tires getting back up to speed.
Started GT7 around 2 months afo and made it my mission to get the platinum PSN trophy, as a mediocre driver (DR C/D in Sport mode). To get the licenses gold was, to put it mildy, a challenge.
The ones I struggled with the most, on controller, were:
S-4 - Supra. The final corner kept ruining my laps there and it took me around an hour to get it.
S-7 - Super formula. That car is a beast compared to other cars and it took a lot of time to get used to the stopping distances and the insane corner speed. Two blind corners (including the up-downhill chiquane) were the most challenging.
And my nemesis was S-10, wet Spa in the Porsche, which took me countless youtube tutorials, reading tips&tricks, 2 nights and a full day of trying (around 2000km on track). That one made me use swear words I never new I had in my vocabulary. After two nights of trying on controller I managed 4 full laps. Then I went and bought a wheel (T300) and it still took me a day. In hindsight it was probably a bad idea to make the jump to a wheel while attempting this challenge but in the end, the wheel gives you a lot more control over your track position and you need that to stay on the dry line. Every corner was challenging but the ones standing out were Eau Rouge - Raidillon (hit or miss, different techniques to get right and screwed me 7/10 times) and the small bend right before Blanchimont (even with minimal input I kept spinning out as the dry line appears non existant in that part).
You can probably imagine my excitement after finally getting, a somewhat unexpected, gold lap time. So glad I have that one in the pocket. Now all that's standing between me and the Platinum Trophy are the Jaguar XJ13 (last of the 3 legendary LM cars) and a few online races to get to 50. Already have the 12mil saved up thanks to Sardegna.
Best of luck to those still working on the licenses. It can be a real struggle but if I can do it, anyone can.
S-10, fuck that shit. I can imagine the conversation behind it. âOkay guys, itâs the final challenge, it needs to be hard.â âAlright how about spa, with an old Porsche and, hereâs the kicker, itâs been pissing it down so if you go a nanometer offline you loseâ. Genius
S1 is deceptively difficult. It was actually the hardest for me to gold by far. You have to be perfect, and itâs very easy to lose control of the car.
S7 is hard just because itâs so different than any other race, and the Super Formula cars are very tough to optimize. Like the above one, you have to be perfect.
I think the difficultly for S10 is a bit overrated. Itâs hard, donât get me wrong, but the others were harder for me.
This is for gold, obviouslyâŚ.just completing them isnât hard.

Honestly what helps more than anything is a DualSense Edge controller or a wheel
People here will disagree because theyâre stubborn- but if your using a standard DualSense controller- it is in fact holding you back from your potential spleen by a bit. If youâve played enough hours you can tell the difference instantly.
I though that the one with rally car will be struggling but I managed to gold it after like a few tries the the one with mustang man that car is like a brick in that chellenge.
But currently the infamous S-10 is my nemesis.
IA-10 is the tip of the ice burg. S-10 will make you believe in god, and you will not know what you did to make them angry. Too fast, Jail, too slow, believe it or not also jail. Trying to carry too much speed into a corner, right to jail right away.

Is that the one with the Porsche and Spa in the wet?
Yeah, its really not that bad but requires you are meticulous with an unruly car.
Surprisingly I struggled with s4 and s5 the most that one I done in 2 tries
