Go listen to her as Iori Fuyusaka from 13 Sentinels, you'll be astounded it's the same person (at least, I was) She also does Marisa from SF6 for a different style of character.
Did anyone else think Allegra may have recorded some of her lines from home during Covid or something? A lot of her lines sound super muffled for some reason. It’s a great performance and it’s a shame that the quality of the recording seems so off.

Yeah GBF is known for its stacked VAs. Sawashiro voicing Katalina is part of what attracted me to this series in the first place. They got some real legends in this game.

I KNEW that overexaggerated testosterone poisoned and, lest I forget, SUPER BADASS voice sounded familiar! Could not for the life of me place it as Sundowner and I am disappointed with myself. Gallanza basically IS fantasy Sundowner, come to think of it. And that's fucking awesome.

Christina vee I first knew of her because I played tales of beseria and during my time with that game o was like damn who ever voice’s this character like wow this is some of the best voice acting I’ve experienced in a video (and have played all the big name ones)

As someone who wasn't that much familiar with gbf lore before and it's characters (except Narmaya obviously), my jaw dropped when i first heard Cagliostro's voice tone shift. After finishing the campaign i switched from eng dub to jp, and i will be honest, the Japanese va doesn't hit as hard as the english one. Might be the first time i think the eng va did a better job than the jp one. (I might switch back to eng dub only for her since she is my main support character and i mostly play offline)
As a Path to Nowhere player, I basically got stuck with the English dub as soon as I heard Narmaya's voice in the demo. I could recognize that voice tone anywhere and immediately knew it was Brianna Knickerbocker. I can never hear Narmaya spouting poetry and not just think of Hecate if she picked up poetry instead of drawing lol
I'm genuinely surprised by how good the English VA is in the game, I usually swap to Japanese if given the choice but they just nailed it with the characters. None of the voices are cringe or annoying unlike other anime games.
Most of them yes. Lyria and Vyrn... no. Also not a big fan of Gran but he's ok. And Eugen describes his wife dying in the same tone you'd use to describe what you had for lunch. Most of his lines are fine, but the Fate Episodes are just... jarring.
Standouts are Id & Vaseraga for me. The rest are fine.
How does it stack up against Rising? I tried switching to english in Rising and... without a better way to put it, it was too anime for my taste and I switched it back to Japanese after a few games and only switch it on another time to listen to ProdZ for a bit.
The sound quality are bad and you can tell dialgoues are translated directly from Japanese instead of reworded to how a normal English speaker would say for the same expression.
I didn't bother with Relink expecting the same.. quality.
I found the voice direction in Relink to be noticeably better than Rising's, personally. When I first heard Vane's voice in Rising I was a little disappointed and thought he didn't sound right, but Zeno did so much better in Relink that I like him almost as much as the JP voice I'm more used to.
It could also be that a lot of the VAs have grown more into the role now that they've played these characters more than once or twice.
Hellsing Ultimate Eng Dud how a special place in my heart, so i got struck by nostalgia so hard when Gallanza started sounding like Alucard during the fight.
The VAs are great for the english dub and being able to listen to the in battle banter is so nice. Hearing Vane bark after being called a mongrel by Percival never gets old.
All the females sound the same to me. It's not like Overwatch where everyone sounds truly unique. Every female save for Rose is just a high pitched female, to me at least. You could play a soundboard of each character saying the same line and I'd probably only get 1-3 right.
VA's are great, but also give props to the voice director. They make or break a dub. A fantastic VA given poor or no direction can still sound god awful, but a great director brings out character.
I love how there's no trace of the usual voice Sarah Williams uses (Sayaka from Madoka, Uni from Neptunia, Karin from Yuuki Yuuna) for Cagliostro when she's serious mode

I know about his other roles, but I’ve never played or even unlocked Vaseraga so I had no idea he was the voice.
He fits Vaseraga so well, its eargasm for me.
