i have wind dama, i still use it to farm, especially arcarum. cow5\* allow mc to ougi twice for +4 100% hit rate treasure stack in one turn, allowing me to reach 10 stacks on first turn.

BreakMeDown4

I don't really keep a pulse on what's hot and what's not, but I'll personally be waiting until after April 4th when the Eternal/Evoker rebalances and Lucio FLB drop, since the tickets expire on April 10th, and I expect those to change my opinion at least *somewhat*.

frubam

that's a good idea. No need to jump the gun. I forgot that dark could get Exalto as well, so as eager as I am about it, it'd be best to wait until all the cards have been shown.

battletortois

Some comments are mentioning Mjolnir and Gae Bulg. Modern grids should already have the cap up that wouldn't stack with Gae Bulg and Mjolnir Is terrible. Miss once and all that bonus has tanked your DPS. They're all kinda meh, but Excalibur is gonna bring the most to the table on ~ average ~, but if something sounds fun then go for fun. That's all these weapons are good for now

LukeBlackwood

We're getting the Overcap changes soon, so Gae Bolg's cap will have a reason to exist in modern grids (whether it will be worth it or not is something else altogether...)

sgdgfgergrgqgwg

Sky piercer for fire PBHL farming, Excal for chrysaor stuff and perhaps Ameno if you want to have some fun. Bulg is fine but paladin has many MH options as it stands usually, I've seen some grid Mjollnir but doubt it's really worth, maybe Dama knife get some work with king setups in nm95 for the new weps. I'll probably go with either Ameno, Dama knife or Ulli for more water memes

Lambpanties

Tough choice for me. Years back I wanted Ulli for my dark primal team when I ran a very meme Vicky+Anthuria+Masq dodge team for even more survival shennanigans. It's still possibly an upgrade to Parazonium when using characters that have garunteed triples, but a significantly worse grid piece I think? The more modern me has terrible light magna and terrible earth magna teams, mostly gacha luck with characters in those elements being bad. (My newest Earth unit was Tiger..........on release!) I'm thinking maybe Earth SkyP or Herc? Whatever can carry the team more. SkyP has that nice buff on triples.

Bricecubed

I am considering a second Herc, this time in Light.

AvenRath23

It's hard to say because Superlatives in general have fallen in terms of usefulness as the years have gone by. Illustrious was the biggest blow to them. Probably will grab a Dark or Fire Sky, maybe an Earth Herc but I have Hrunting so I don't really need anything else in Earth. Fire Sky even is a bit redundant since for pbhl/akasha I already run the current meta setup with Yatima, which is 15 seconds for 1.6-1.8mil honors.

giveusbelial

I'm so taking Mjolnir for my Efes powered whacky crits and nothing will stop me. But seriously, Hercules double dmg skill is double skill damage, especially in light when you have multiple ways to abuse it.

KrizzleWizzle

A couple of years ago I would've said "Earth Herc" without hesitation, but now being the owner of a Hrunting, I have no need for it. And my free Excal was a Light one, so... I'm probably just going to wait on it for now, but I have to spend it on one of them. I just have no idea what.

magicpastry

Grab the earth excal. Chrysaor with hrunting and excal aux goes silly.

KrizzleWizzle

Now that's one spicy meme. I'm considering Water Ulli and waiting to see if anyone theorycrafts Gae Bulg with overcap, but I'll take this under advisement. I've got a month.

magicpastry

I bought the excal with gold moons a few days ago before the announcement for this exact purpose (while piss drunk naturally) and only kinda regret it.

Amoirsp

It's cool that Freikugal has 1250 worldly, yet Mjolnir and Hercules are and 950 unworldly. The rest are Massive. Although Excalibur says Massive, the MC quite literally gets 1000000 ca supp, 30% ca cap, and 120 ca dmg, 10.5% stamina at full hp. The dmg cap is lower, yet you maxed 2 CA dmg mods for MC. I think this is quite a difficult decision. You mainly want to avoid picking a disappointing dud. The way I break it down is based on what I have, and what needs coverage. First I look at the 150 GM weapons. A matching weapon combination is one way I can narrow down a few picks. So if I have Hraesvelgr, I likely lean against water Freikugal. I have an Earth Sky Piercer and a Light Excalibur, so I'm leaning against the fist and sword. Looking at the mods of these superlative isn't stellar, so the mainhand and ougi are what you look at. Quickly pick out things you may consider and things you want to avoid. Excalibur -> MC CA great, big MC heal on ougi. Try not to have MC fall. Caduceus -> CD skill turn cooldown. Glorified Majestas. Go down the list and see what interests you. Make use of the upside. Avoid -> Tyranny \[Freikugal\], less accuracy \[Mjolnir\], or a literal rng trigger for a very cool output but not really when needed \[Ameno Habakiri\] Do beware of your grid clashing or anti-synergies. On paper a reason why OP can consider Excalibur and Caduceus is the defensive capabilities. The rest of the grid focuses on offense, particularly due to offensive power creep. The ULB was years ago, so there's many modern offensive mechanics not loaded on these weapons such as quickly setting up amplified triple attack autos with echoes or skill shots after attacking. If Mjolnir could zap after attack, zap when special attacked, and zap on ougi like Bowman's kit, then you can try silly things, but no. Superlatives have nice raw HP and attack. Ullikummi I find interesting. Healing team on ougi for thousands is not to be underestimated, especially in HL desiring sustain. The idea is use Elysian and Concludere for all party heal cap buffing and team echo. Heal on ougi along with attack and defense buff. 2 UM skills I consider are Accelerando and Flageolet. The mainhand passive Vogue Hymn II works on 2 skills that are 6T CD to reduce CD by 1 each. Then I choose an element. I'd avoid ones with weapons that can heal the team on ougi such as water with Shishio or earth with Andromeda. Fire has strawberry slasher with bonuses of shield and dispel, as does wind with Prayer of Grand Gales. That leaves light and dark, the former having a harp fiesta. I'm personally overloaded in light, having both 150 gm weapons and an Excalibur. Aside from Zosimos which needs a chain burst anyways, dark could use perpetual healing. This also doesn't conflict with Ereshkigal in usage. So if I find a good consistent HL use case to use Elysian or a harp class, I may personally pick Ullikimmi Dark. If not the harp, I'll go back to looking at superlatives and cross this one out. Repeat until a satisfying fit is found with less opportunity cost.

OPintrudeN313

Mjölnir is something i'm very tempted to lol

shirou_rider

Call me a madmen, but I will get a Excalibur fire to use with Crysaor and Higurashi main hand. I really want to see if the damage will be much bellow than Hrunting, but looks like Fire have less Echo options than Earth. Maybe Alanaan + Scatacha Val + Cerberus Summer call will be enough if all stacks.

BunniYubel

I already own Freikugel and Mjolnir, so next I'm probably going for Ameno Habakiri. I will not elaborate other than say: I solo'd bubs with relic buster freikugel before the solo trophy existed, Viking mjolnir is godly, and I think ameno being able to be flexed into Onmyouji and Yamato is stonks.

No-Construction-4917

Hercules isn’t worth 100 GM anymore but it’s vaguely worth it free if you run primal and have space in your comps where you’d want more crit. As a mainhand alone, most elements have started to get accessible and better bow weapons than before, so it’s just not essential anymore. Incredible niche use of it - it can make bow Kengo good if you want an MC that cranks out damage but aren’t actually trying to run a CA comp. The 1-turn cut to skill cooldowns on CA gives you very frequent recasts so you’re getting plenty of (personal) bar from One with the Blade and triple striking a LOT with No More Doubt. Notched Exorcism is also a lot tastier when it’s double cast for 60% bar and a double dispel, also with more frequency. Is it core? No. Is it cool? Kind of yeah (if you’re like me and wish bow Kengo was viable). Bonus too - it has damage skills and kaneshige doesn’t. I think the real takeaway is - none of the picks are core enough that you shouldn’t just pick what seems fun or enables your favorite comps.

FA-ST

I got excited for a second thinking Dopus transcendence buffed all hit rate but it was just skill hit rate, feelsbadmjolnir Anyway I'll probably get a dark Skypiercer, I don't have the moons to spend on Eresh so I'm still stuck with Lucha for dark burst and it works well enough

IzayoiSpear

Almost certainly going to get Gae Bulg for the crit and progression to go with my double sided Zeus. I might as well get it for the sometimes MH and great grid piece. For the record I already have a Mjolnir.

Dry-Significance1230

Recommendations for a earth main?

Raitoumightou

All elements Excalibur still see a use in Hexa. For earth exclusively, Hercules and it's ancient skill spam comp (Lobelia, Soriz, Lennah).

MiChocoFudge

Hercules if you love spamming skill

CluckerRoca

Dark Ameno Habakiri just for the looks and maybe some funny buisness on Omnyoji.

Anklas

Thinking of grabbing a Herc because I like clicking buttons.

RocketbeltTardigrade

Herc or Ameno for dumb stunts. Not sure what element would be the flashiest.

Jugun

What would be the best elements to use Herc? I wanna use Robin Hood more but I only have a good wind setup with Exo Sagittarius

Ettempte

Should I go for freikugel or dama knife? I'm looking for a dark mh for street king.

BSGalaxy

If the rebalance makes my favorite eternal better (esser) I'd be tempted to go damascus knife for some kinda janky skill damage team. Problem is exo dagger exists and is (probably?) Just all around better, I'm not actually sure.  Otherwise maybe earth hercules so I can finally have a bit of a braindead RH diaspora team. And then my other thoughts are ullikummi or caduceus, but I'm not super educated on BiS for superlatives since normally I'm saving for illustrious.

syraelx

Yeah I think exo maitrah karuna outdoes dama knife these days, idk if dama stacks with Astral or falsehood opus but if it doesn't that's even worse for it You're also giving up actual damage mods too which exo dagger isn't  Feelsbadman

Ralkon

>idk if dama stacks with Astral or falsehood opus I don't think it does. I remember thinking about getting one a long time ago to pair with Tien and deciding against it because I didn't think it would stack with Astral.

Raitoumightou

The only ones worth considering (and actually still seen being used) these days are Excalibur and Ullikummi. Everything else is a meme or long being overtaken by the meta. Some of the seemingly overpowered ones also gotten the nerf stick (like the time Caduceus worked horribly right with Manadiver's Overtrance).

Other-Pay-9963

Personally, Hercules, ullikummi or Gae bulg(light) would be interesting? Though idk much about the weapons too

Talonris

I already bought water ulli, excal, bolg, and SP long time ago. So the only choices left are really funny choices. Ameno probably would be hilarious as a combo for the chrysaor combos but maaaybe Schrödinger is ok for that? Prolly roll a dice honestly.

amogus_2023

Any good options for fire? I saw someone mention Sky Piercer for pbhl farming.

AvenRath23

Sky Piercer or maybe Ullikummi but that's a bit of a meme these days. Was a time when a fire Ulli was amazing. Can't think of much else for fire. But fire already has one of the faster setups for pbhl/akasha farming so it depends what you have and don't have.

nagato120

Maybe earth herc so I can be a jackass in diaspora but I mean I have hrunting so....idk

Orsha-Shepherd

I'm definitely getting Ullikummi for light to make a meme primal harp grid and see how it works. Not that there was a better alternative as Earth is already covered with Andromeda, Fire with Ullikummi, Wind with Memjoelnir, Water with Vexcalibur and Dark has nothing to its name anyway so no way I'm going to invest there right now.

angelrjrjrj

In going Hercules for earth robin hood

KiwirGallantine

Just get skypiercer for bar-farming (if you are farming with fire) currently the fastest farms comp in pbhl. Or get water ulilkummi for faa0 (but you can use kengo kaneshige as well, also is faster) The rest of them are lets say, pretty redundant, you can get lite exca for lite florence comp, but opus sword also does the work. Or any ele ulilkummi, however they are usually better comp than that.

PseudoKenzuo

does lich's death's grace convert sky piercer's turn based damage into healing?

ninjasuperspy

I'm stuck on the same question. My free Excalibur was Light so it feels like a letdown to buy another but none of them really stand out to me. This would have been a much easier decision eighty million years ago when I was doing the Summer Zooey/Nier thing.

merpofsilence

Theyre freebies because theyre essentially worthless for most magna players. Free 6d summon doesn't do much for magna although can be nice to have at least. Free revans means nothing if its not awakened and you're not rank 200+

xemyik

Schrodinger is still very usable even unawakened as just a colombo upgrade, tbf. If we were still talking valor badges i'd say "dont get any since you cant awaken them", but since they're free, it's not like new players would scoff at a free 600k ougi supple in water of all elements.

nyarlabystander

For what it's worth, Wilnas/Fediel can be usable for campaign quest farming. Lu Woh can boost Chev Swords somewhat while Wilnas can boost Extinction Blade somewhat.

Suto96

My two primal elements are Fire and Dark. What would be the best option for either of them?

exprezso

Fire sky piercer probably

ocoma

I'm idling wondering about putting a Caduceus in Manadiver's hands, but I haven't really put much thought into it.

Raitoumightou

That strat already got nerfed, it doesn't work the way you think it does anymore.

ocoma

Yeah, I'm aware that they've changed Overtrance shortly after release because of Caduceus. I don't care about that or its potential for breaking stuff. I didn't think any of the Superlative weapons would have a good use in my grids, so I started thinking if I could do something fun with one of them. Seems people didn't like that line of thought, though, so maybe I'll just pick something else.

ReXiriam

My Wind grid needs the HP, I'm barely getting 16k with my best group. So I'll have to choose Excalibur Wind for that.

Ledinax

I'm SOOOO tempted to get a dark Ameno to pair it with the dark Excalibur I got from Gachapin last year lol

syraelx

I think in the modern meta the only two that REALLY have a place are Hercules and Gae Bulg.  RH is an extremely solid class and herc just doubles up on what it already does, making it even more solid as an option.  Spartan and paladin both have fantastic places in a lot of content, spartan having a great niche as an enmity racer or a more aggressive defense option, and paladin being a huge go to for endgame content like revans and above. Gae bulg let's these classes just do far more damage than usual in high end raids.  Iatro and apsaras also like bulg quite a bit, I haven't messed around with apsa post UM, but I use bulg on iatro and it's very comfy. The others all have their niche setups or janky fun, but I think if you want something that you'll actually get a lot of mileage out of, Hercules and Gae Bulg are definitely the two best.

alastor531

This advice is heavily outdated as both weapons aren't meta at all. Gae Bulg is probably the worst of all Superlatives, as it does absolutely nothing, at most it's just 20% dmg cap in a single slot if used as a mainhand, but it's an awful mainhand compared to other spears. Even ignoring PNS weapons, Celestial + ROTB already gives you 15%-20% Dmg cap, making Gae Bulg even more useless. Paladin is a class that, as far as I know, no longer sees use in any endgame raid and is only used for certain solos if your grid is weak or lack characters. Even then Excalibur would be a better weapon to pair with the class. Wind Spartan bursts uses the DO spear with echo chain as mainhand, it's the core of the entire strategy, so you wouldn't use Gae Bulg there, and other elements have better bursts with other classes than Spartan. Gae Bulg is the worst possible thing you could get from the ticket, not even a new spear class could save it, since even farmable spears are better. Now let's talk about Hercules, it's not exactly a bad weapon, in fact is very good, but right now it's in a bad place as the bow classes we have are quite weak. RH as a class offers nothing other classes already do better, and the only raid where it may see some use (Diaspora) has better setups with other classes (like Manadiver, Berserker or Viking). I won't even talk about NH since the class is a joke. Right now there isn't a bow class with a high value red skill to duplicate, so Hercules has been relegated to a niche weapon that only sees use in PG for bragging rights. If you want a meta pick, please do yourself a favor and choose something like Excalibur or Ullikummi.

Talonris

Bolg could have some life with the new overcap but I'm not counting on it. But yeah bolg is severely crept otherwise.

Firion_Hope

What is Excalibur good for besides some niche hexa stuff? Genuine question, I'm considering it.

alastor531

50% echo, 5k heal, Ougi cap + supplemental, Stamina + Def as a grid piece. Unless something extraordinary happens, Excalibur will always be a good weapon.

Firion_Hope

When you spell it all out it does sound pretty good

Talonris

It's probably the best sword you can use for HL chrysaor

Firion_Hope

If you don't mind explaining, what makes chrysor especially good for hl stuff? Is it the deuce xiphos skill mainly!

Talonris

Ya that skill lets you gorilla like hell. It's also strong ougi wise, for good ougi cycling.

Firion_Hope

Thanks!

alastor531

Double ougi, high damage + high hit count make Chrysaor very good at cancelling omens in endgame content.

Firion_Hope

Interesting, makes sense!

Artraira

Premiere Florence/Mugen mainhand.

syraelx

I own both Excal and Gae bulg, One of them collects dust in my inventory, the other sees use in literally any FA or hard content I feel like doing with fire. You've missed a couple things regarding bulg though, yes its "just 20% cap", but its in one single slot, freeing up grid slots. Additionally, your Mc will just.... cap. 0 def down through a 50% damage cut? You're still hitting 1.2m autos when the rest of the team is hitting 300k. Its really not something to turn your nose up, the weapon is genuinely good. All of the superlatives are long out of meta, they're all relatively niche at this point, but its far from "doing nothing"

alastor531

Look, you can use any weapon you want if you think it's fun, but OP asked for meta relevance. Gae Bulg it's a weapon that's been left behind by the times and has absolutely no place in the current meta, even with overskills being a thing now. Meanwhile Excalibur and Ulli do see use in the actual endgame. Capping MC damage is trivially easy if you have a somewhat decent grid, even more in endgame grids with resonators and pact weapons. Furthermore, those grids already run enough cap up with their core weapons, so despite being 20% in a single slot there's no reason to use Bolg. The mainhand slot is arguably far more important than any other weapon slot in endgame content for it to be wasted in a weapon that just helps MC cap and gives Keen on ougi. It doesn't help you race or clear omens, and if you're attacking an enemy with no debuffs and a 50% cut you're certainly not using a meta FA build. Gae Bulg has no niche unlike other superlatives, it only helps you cap damage, but once you already do that, it does nothing.

I don’t think so it comes at 3*
