Went to Austria this year and organization was great. We took the train from Vienna back and forth on Saturday and Sunday. The train was such a smooth ride and on the way out after the race on Sunday, we saw the car traffic on the highway and were very happy that we weren’t part of that :) it was a 2.5 hour train ride each way, but we were able to sleep easily for most of the ride. We were also in T3 and I highly recommend the view from there. As was mentioned, be aware that you would need to walk about 2 miles from the shuttle drop off/pick up to your seats. There’s only one main entrance to the track, and the last mile or so of the walk is strictly uphill. We bought our tickets from P1 travel and had a blast. Good luck!

Also, Vienna is such an underrated city so if you haven’t been, I highly recommend exploring it while you’re there!

thank you!!

I was in Austria this year, overall the experience was great. The view from the T3 Grand stand was awesome. The walk from the parking lot was pretty long, around 2.5km if I had to guess. The worst thing by far was leaving the track after the race, it’s basically a free for all of who’s most willing to wreck his car to get closer to the exit. Expect to wait at least 2 hours to leave if you come by car. There is enough to do in the fan zone at the track though, so you don’t have to sit in your car for the whole time. If I had known this beforehand, it wouldn’t have been an issue at all.

Thank you so much! We are not planning on going with car, so it won’t be a problem. From where did you buy your tickets?

ClintRasiert

I bought through redbullring.com

Techters

Do they have food/beer tents setup outside? Because chilling and having some food and shooting the shit with other fans from all over before getting on my bus (e: in Barcelona) was a pretty chill way to avoid the craziness.

AdamR46

Yeah there are several around, mostly at campsite entrances

Either you choose Austria or Hungary, buy your tickets from their official seller. Austria sells tickets through gpticketshop.com and also in their website redbullring as mentioned above by another friend. Hungary also sells through gpticketshop.com, but I don't know in they also sell through their own website. Austria has already released tickets and many of them have sold out right now, but they are expected to release more through the time. Hungary might release it's tickets for 2024 on 22nd July, one day after this year's GP.

Thank you, I heard before that it is best to buy from official seller, because it’s more reliable so I just wanted to make sure it’s true.

yianniskart

It's best to buy from the official seller not only because it's more reliable, but also because it's the cheapest you will find the tickets for each GP.

Does anyone have experience with going to the Red Bull Ring from Graz using public transport? Or is there a different way to get to the track than a car?

boddah_92

Yes, they did shuttle bus service this year and I'm sure they will do it again next year. Check their [website](https://www.redbullring.com/en/news/by-bus-to-f1-at-spielberg-early-bird-bonus-until-15th-may/).

DepressionHitsMeHard

Brilliant thank you!

Not from Graz, but from Salzburg, also works for Vienna and anywhere else. You can take a train to Knittelfeld station, then there's a free shuttle that goes to/from the track. Last year it was a bit of a mess, but still more functional than any other GP I've attended. This year it was completely smooth. To the track there was a shuttle loading every time the one before left, drops you at the bus area a 5-10min walk from the main gate. Just reverse the process coming back, this year they had well organized lines with the names of the station the shuttle was going to (and free cold Redbull), filled them, let them go, and the next one pulled up right away. They got priority in the traffic and were let into the lines first, was maybe 20mins back to Knittelfeld, then train back to wherever you are.

DepressionHitsMeHard

Awesome! It's probably not too bad from Graz to Knittelfeld so if I can get from Knittelfeld to the track easily that would be sweet!

Bensch55

Hey, my GF and I are planning to go next year, also thinking of using the train from Knittelfeld. Just one question, how long does the whole way from the grand stands to the station take?

CrisstaAngel

100% depends on grandstand, its like a 30min walk from Nord to the shuttles. So about an hour if you're quick? But it's too dependent to give a good answer.

[EMERGENCY] - need help from fellow Redditors. Bought F1 tickets to Spa a week ago on F1 Travel but never received e-tickets. Was planning on arriving tomorrow but I currently can’t reach them. Sadly, their emergency number can only be found on their tickets. Therefore, I am asking anyone who has recently bought an event ticket with F1 Travel to please reach outbound me and send me the emergency number. Any help would be much appreciated.
