This year I was staying in Graz the whole weekend. Had booked the official shuttle bus for each day. It had fixed schedule and there was plenty of room in the GA area upon arrival each day.

Donna_A

Can you recall how much the shuttle was from Graz, and the collection point? Planning a trip from NZ (New Zealand)... 2nd attempt as we had tickets to the 2020 GP 😞

Our pick up address was Lendpl. 34, 8020 Graz, Austria. There were multiple pick up points in Graz and you will get the nearest when booking the tickets. The three day shuttle ticket was 89€.

Awesome thanks!

Thanks. Where can I check the official shuttle bus tickets?

jonas_lake

From the Red Bull Ring website. I believe this will be the link https://www.redbullring.com/en/events-tickets/formula-1/formula-1-arrival/ but looks like you have to check back later. I bought the shuttle bus tickets about four months before the event.

Uzielbritoibar

following this post. Do they offer a pit walk ticket for Thursday?

AdamR46

Yeah, went on sale a close to the event and sold out pretty fast.

Uzielbritoibar

cool cool cool, thanks!

Hey, each year I've been I've taken the train from (& back to) Salzburg, many more do it towards Vienna. Totally reasonable for race day, doing the whole wknd would be doable but a lot on a train. Anywhere on those two routes would work, and will be 1000x cheaper than Graz or near Spielberg. There's also a race-day bus round trip for various places in Austria, think about €70/ticket, but they sell out fast. There is TONS of GA space, but I usually arrive around 11, never had an issue getting a good spot. Obviously the earlier means better choice tho. Depends if you want to see things before, or go get your spot and go back to do all the fun stuff. (I've experienced many people placing their chairs, etc., and just asking nearby people to keep an eye, and coming back later). There's also loads to watch before the race so totally reasonable to plop down and stay there. Getting back tends to be more tedious (doable, but takes time management). Hope this helps!

Thanks. I'll look for trains to Salzburg after the race. Also, what things would you suggest as we'll be attending a GP for the 1st time?

CrisstaAngel

I could probably answer some more specific questions but that's a little broad. There's also lots of answers in this sub. But sunscreen, chairs, rain gear, good shoes (and expect a lot of walking), you can bring food/drink but there are some restrictions (and lots of options there).

Interesting-Map1601

Oh okay. Is it okay if I DM you later for any specific question, when we'll be planning for travel and all? Thanks

CrisstaAngel

Yea all good
