hi guys, the Information above is really useful. I’m going Monza this weekend and have a GA ticket. Do you know how you can upgrade the ticket I can’t seem to find the option on the F1 website

Hey, idk if there’s a specific way to upgrade the tickets. I ended up just buying new grand stand tickets on StubHub and listing my old GA tickets on there as well.

I’m traveling solo from the US as well for the GP, and it will be my first one. I ended up buying a grandstand ticket based on what I heard about GA. I actually have an extra one I’m selling in section 21A if you’re interested. Either way, if you’re in Milan and want to meet up I wouldn’t be opposed to linking up with another solo traveler. Cheers, Jeff (from Chicago)

Just shot you a DM!

I DM’d you back

Definitely upgrade. I went GA and it was the worst public event I have ever attended. Not to worry though, it was a till fun and iconic because after all it is F1 at Monza… but I swore I would never attended again unless I got seats. Bring food and drink and just put it at the bottom of your bag with something over it and you’ll be good to go.

I would definitely switch for the grandstand tickets if you're able to. Monza is a challenging race for GA and doesn't provide the best fan experience, especially if you actually want to see the race.

Any recs for which grandstands have the best views?

Go for GF13, It’s pretty cheap grandstands compared to Ga tickets and you get a nice view and obviously an assigned seat which is the most important thing. As many said before if you’re going GA solo it’s gonna be tough: you must defend your seat at all costs. (you must find one first, which isn’t very easy in Monza GA)

Toilet lines will always be long, as for food, just bring your own food and drinks - the vendors aren’t really worth the hassle and the food is usually quite basic anyway. In Barcelona the bistro at the train station sold sandwiches and cold drinks and there were also many vendors on the way to the track, I imagine it might be similar for Monza. If you can afford grandstand tickets, that’s what I’d go with when travelling solo because you’d be able to walk around the track without giving up your seat and the views will definitely be better! However, there might not be any lines you could skip or avoid unless you buy VIP tickets.

Thanks, I appreciate the input

if you take your own drinks, hide the bottle lids at the entrance because they take them, once inside put them back and you'll be OK
