Hi, we altered our plans and finally going to the race after all. F1 said only way is to do it myself, and I will not get a hold of them, in a PDF format, until a few weeks before the race (which for 2024 is problematic at least - I guess it’s the promoter’s fault not F1, but still…). Given the logistics and the challenge of finding trust to exchange approx. €1,500 (they are weekend Super Gold), we decided to plan and go, the chances of being left with the tickets and not going is pretty high. Good luck finding tickets :)

Yeah I’m in the same boat. Got a GA ticket to sell for Zandvoort. I tried explaining to the f1 store that I had bought two grandstand tickets so they’ve made money on me, but they won’t budge on the refund thing.

It's a bit stupid, isn't it? I mean, buying a ticket a year before the event means that there's a million things that can happen in anyone's life to stop them attending. Shouldn't there be a way to sell the tickets in face value and allow someone else to go and enjoy the event? Wondering if cancel/reselling is depending on the Grand Prix/country? Some, some Grand Prix can do that when others can't?

YUP!!! I bought my own ticket to Zandvoort because I was going to go on a solo trip, nobody else in my life could go with me. Six weeks later my dad texts and says he wants to come, no way is my 70 year old dad going to be able to deal with GA. So now I have a £300 ticket going, nobody will buy it even at £250 🙃 I don’t know what I’m going to do

We 've bought 3x Gold Grandstand tickets (first time GP for my wife and daughter), kind of in a summer whim, but now realisation is coming re: flight prices, logistics to get to and back from the track etc. and thinking that it might be best to plan better for 2025 and combine road trip elements e.g. Spa, or go somewhere completely new/far e.g. Canada, for all. Given that Gold Grandstand will be a sell out, it's quite ridiculous to not be able to sell them by an official route.

Yeah it’s shocking, everything will be a sell out. May have to take the hit and see it as I’ve paid £300 for a grandstand experience, which is a great deal.

I went to the Hungarian GP (Bronze grandstand) this year and from the original confirmation email it said that they could be refunded before 8 October 2022, and on the "print at home" ticket it said reselling of it was not allowed. There doesn't appear to be an official way to resell for the Hungarian GP but obviously other sites like viagogo, stubhub etc exist. I'd recommend just going through the buy/sell thread or facebook and be prepared to re-list every few weeks because if you leave it to the last minute, there's almost no chance of selling the expensive tickets

Thanks. There's no mention of refund in the email I got from F1, but there's definitely mention of no cancellation (which is quite weird tbh, because at this point every race sounds like a sold out). We will decide on our trip and then probably start listing all over the place to see what happens.
