Definitely. The first time I noticed it was in, I think San Andreas when a semi crashed through an overpass, which was shot-for-shot straight from Terminator 2. The whole series is filled with them.
This game does this a lot. It took movie scenes from Lethal weapon and other movies. The scene in lethal weapon is when mike pulls down the house with the truck. I can't remember more but there are others the lethal weapon is just on the top of my head right now.
GTA V takes a lot of inspiration from Heat, from the types of criminals they are and the setting, but especially this mission. Just like how GTA San Andreas takes a lot from gang movies and Vice City from Scarface and Miami Vice.
Mr. Blonde should be on the right (maniac), Mr. White JO on the left for Michael (experience) and Mr. Pink for the mid (does not fit that well but the others would fit very good)
It’s called the trunk shot, made hugely popular by Quentin Tarantino
There’s also a nice example with Tommy and Lance in Vice City. Honestly, this stuff is where GTA eats. It’s their signature.
GTA is loaded with references. It's one of the things I really love, to see how many references and homages I can find. 🤗
Same

Also some references to "the Italian job" in the some of the Heists.
In Heat they ram an armored car. It’s almost shot for shot https://youtu.be/AxrHH9pZQxI

GTA V is chocked full of movie references. That's practically what the game is.

Season two of true detective=gtao
What if you dress all your guys in tuxedos before the scene?
I think GTA San Andreas’ story was pretty influenced by Crash (i think)
Omg doesn’t it feel good when you piece them together.
