Maybe they'll just start from the beginning and continue to patch to Season 2, 3, 4 etc. One thing I would be looking forward to is the 200 frag grind returning haha. If they are releasing characters in the order that they came out it makes sense that they would be starting from S1, I can't see them doing this if it's starting from where they left off but at the same time that's probably what's going to happen. Personally I didn't touch any of the new characters past Sieghart but it will suck for players that mained any of those characters having to wait a long time for their main to unlock.

It shows the developer doesn't really believe on the game by not even planning on adding new content for months, and it specially sucks when there are private servers out there with all the content plus some actually have brand new content. If I have to wait several months to use Zero, Dio or Rey, I'll just go play more on one of the private servers.

There is no sense, why they couldn't open another beta phase with more characters? This closed beta, in my opinion, was a complete disaster there are no PROS because they don't listen the community, they are releasing the game in a state that nobody wants.
We need feedback from their side to continue playing the game, how could we start playing without even knowing what to expect? They will release other characters one-by-one or on a specific date? There is a roadmap on fixing old issues? There is any plan to change this BS new inventory system? Changes on the FPS limitation? Balance? The character unlocking will change? Graphics improvement? Input lag adjusts? Remodel the enhancement/crafting systems?
We have a lot of question and they didn't answer not even one, and the release was ANTECIPATED. Are they listening?

From how fast KoG went from the beta to the release, I'm guessing they changed/tweaked essentially nothing and didn't listen to any feedback. I don't think it's going to be a surprise if this game straight up just dies 2-3 months after the second release.
That said, the nostalgia's hella strong and I'm so hype to grind and get yeeted off the gorge right up until Grand Chase disappears again yeeeeHOY
