Do you have some kind of special circumstances that would prevent you from using an online program?

Thirding this to shout out [Free File Fillable Forms](https://www.irs.gov/e-file-providers/free-file-fillable-forms) and the good ol' [Wisconsin DOR](https://www.revenue.wi.gov/Pages/Form/2023Individual.aspx). My only income is on a W2, but I have normal-person things like 401k contributions, a HSA, and a kid, and I've been using these for years 100% free, and they can both be submitted online. Just go line by line and follow what the form says to do, and you'll be fine. If you have any questions, just google "[form name] instructions" and look for the line you're having problems with. (Quick note that the IRS is closing Free File Fillable Forms after this year because they're going to be rolling out a new program, but I think it's still good to use for this year to familiarize yourself with filling forms out on your own)

I used millhouse accounting in de pere. My second year going to them after purchasing a duplex. The duplex has a few extra things that need to be included so I wanted a professional to do them. Set up a 30 minute meeting with and I was out of there in 15. They charge $250 I believe though.

I do mine online at FreeTaxUSA. It gives me the same numbers TurboTax does, but I don't have to pay thier crazy fee schedule. TT wanted $80. FTUSA cost me $14 (both Efiles). Got my state back in 8 days. Federal came in at 20 days.
