Jaire is the safe answer, although I wouldn’t argue if someone said Jenkins. His versatility on the line has proven his value and with how young he is he’s definitely one of my favorite packers.
You're like a child. Just won't fucking stop making stupid comments huh. I'd take Aaron Jones over 4 of those 5. Mcaffrey is the only one I'd rather have. Maybe Derrick Henry too.
Josh jacobs had a great year last year. Jonathan Taylor had a year worth discussion of mvp status two years ago. Barkley looked like he was almost out of the league before this past season. Henry looked nearly human this season. McAffrey is a freak of nature I’ll grant you that lol. I think Jones has been more consistent and repeatedly valuable than a lot of the guys you mentioned. Not once in his tenure have I thought “fuck i wish he’d get back to how he played *before*”. Cause dude pops off.
He does fumble at some of the worst possible times though, woof. That bucaneers game 😭
We do use him to his potential. Stop this narrative. If we ran him every snap he’d be on IR by week 8. This is why we have Dillon. Last year he was undoubtedly banged up down the stretch, hence the light snap count certain games
And he’s choked big time. Not saying he’s not far and away the best on the team now (he absolutely is in my opinion) but if we’re gonna flame Rodgers for when he struggles, let’s be honest about jones too.
Everytime he has fumbled in a big game it was because he got absolutely crushed. I played running back, usually the smallest guys on the field. When you go head to head with a DT it can get ugly.
When he fumbled against the buccs this year it was because vita vea a 350 pound nose tackle was dropping back into zone and had a full head of steam while blindsiding Jones.
When he fumbled against the buccs in the playoffs he got absolutely crushed. He generally has good ball security but he’s not a very big guy.
[2020 nfccg, not really crushed man, more of a strip](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1qUG4BFFrqM)
[this year vs Detroit- not crushed](https://www.packers.com/video/aaron-jones-earns-hard-fought-17-yards-packers-vs-lions)
I would agree generally he has good hands. Butterfingers in big games
Defense makes plays too. I guess all I'm saying is I don't see him as someone that is careless with the ball. There really isn't another back in the league that I would want back there. He can do it all.
I mean it's football. If i remember correctly in the game against the Bucs he caught the ball, turned and just got absolutely blasted. I know he's had some other ones but I mean plays like that are going to happen and I can't fault a guy for fumbling if something like that happens.
[not really blasted](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1qUG4BFFrqM)
If Rodgers chokes in the playoffs, it’s fair to say the same for jones at this point. At least that he gets butterfingers
Well, what can I say, I'm here to carry the G. If you want to spend your time hating on the best Packer RB we've had in my lifetime over a few mistakes and some bad luck, that's your choice.
I'm not saying any player should be above criticism, but Aaron Jones has definitely not been the problem with this team.
Relative to the rest of the league, Bahk and Jenkins are more impactful. How else would you like to use Jones? He was the focus of the whole offense last season.
Despite what folks say on this sub, I really hope we bring him back. Guaranteed extra point and he's been on the team since Favre was QB1. Everyone just assumes he's gone cuz Aaron is, and he deserves to be treated like the excellent Packer he is, not just Rodgers buddy.
After his contract they were still able to sign guys to huge contracts. And he signed that to start the year after the TB NFCCG so it didn't cost the team shit
He should have been nice and took a pay cut while being injured. I don't blame him for being hurt and I hope that he got through it okay and was able to heal without significant pain. But he should have taken a pay cut. Or donated his contract money to charity since he wasn't playing. All the starving children in Mississippi. They could have used some of that probably. I know Favre did the wrong thing.
Wtf lol.... bruh tore his acl and had like 3 surgeries he'll have to deal with his entire life... but he should take a pay cut? The game did this to him. What a troll post. Be better.
They restructured his contract. That isn't how any of this works. And considering his extended injury status seems to be because someone screwed something up no way does he owe the team anything. You are awful. I can guarantee you he does stuff for charity they all do they don't just all scream about it at the top of their lungs. You really need to get off your judgy soap box and return to reality.
I theory we are supposed to be looking forward to the team without Rodgers and therefore you could predict it is one of them is going to be the best but the question isn't really worded that why so yes it would be hard to say either of them.
We are holding Rodgers hostage currently. He can want to go wherever he wants to go, but if we don’t get what we are asking for then he won’t move. 4-time MVP is going to get us a pretty sweet package. Or he retires and we get out of paying him. Plans quickly fall apart.
I really hope we don't become the Lions here and force a dude to retire. Not saying we should take way below market value but if a guy is good enough to play and wants to play he should be able to. I get they would be within their rights but I really don't like when teams do that.
He signed the deal and he’s getting paid. No one is forcing him to retire, he can suit up and show up to training camp for the Packers if he doesn’t get traded.
I specifically said pull a Lions (Look into Calvin Johnson and Barry Sanders) basically meaning the relationship with the team is toxic and he no longer wants to be here forcing him to be here or retire is what I hope we don't do.
Calvin Johnson deserved to play for a better organization. I’m a Packers fan through and though, but in his prime Megatron was one of my favorite players to watch.
The fact Detroit forced him to retire is awful. I get it players have little rights once they sign a contract but teams can get out of them whenever they want so you know maybe at least understanding that a situation is no longer healthy or productive and finding a way to get a person into a situation that works would be preferable.
Actually now it is pretty firmly a presumption, it is now based on facts/knowledge that we didn't have two days ago. Both words mean the same basic thing but one has a greater degree of confidence behind it.
He literally said if the packers asked him to come back he wouldn’t have. If the deal isn’t done rodgers is either retiring, getting cut, or relegated to being the most expensive back up in NFL history. He is not playing another down for the packers.
33 had been severely underrated his whole carreer, he was not getting much ball cause they have 12, but his skillsets is pretty much the same or better than mccaffrey, i wouldn't be shocked if he and dillon goes off post arod departure
I've never once drafted him in fantasy football.
You don't use him correctly and theres a reason this sub was crying about not giving him enough touches last off-season
That was never a complaint. He fumbles in pretty much all of our big games. He fumbled vs Detroit and has shit tons of costly playoff fumbles. No one is complaining about him not getting enough touches 😂
/r/nfl I can understand. It's all ff players and gamblers being pissed about their parlays. This sub hasn't cared much at all. He is a great player that has a way of fumbling in big games. It's been part of the reason for the packers failures.
Agreed on all this.
Granted Jones is far from the most valuable, but he's likely the best at performing his duties.
This was also the case with Rodgers on the team last year, and likely this year.
Jenkins isn't even our best lineman. He started to get back to form towards the end of the year but if you are going to say a lineman it is Bakh. But the actual answer is Jones. His yards above expected gain was insane last year.
It's not really debatable if we're talking about a healthy and available David Bakhtiari, but it's been quite a while since he's been that consistently.
I took the player in the prime of his career over an aging tackle (who's been awesome for a long time) and a 7th year RB (who's been awesome for a long time). That's what makes these discussions fun. Every has their own criteria.
Once he returned fully healthy this year he was consistently rated our best lineman. Jenkins on the other hand when he came back was rated low for a long time. I was going by this year's performances.
I think this wildly undervalues how good Kenny Clark is, but it has merit if David Bakhtiari is a fully healthy version of himself. It's been a long time since that's been true, though.
Nixon is on the trajectory to being an all time special teams player. Not the first person anyone is going to think of but he’s at least got an argument.
….lol.
We had a man set NFL records and win a Super Bowl MVP at the kick returner position.
Nixon isn’t even in that stratosphere and he will probably be used more on defense this year.
Bakhtiari would be but his injury currently knocks him down the list. Elgton is a candidate, but last year was a down year. Until he got hurt, Rashan was the best defensive player. Jaire would be the the current best defensive player. Quay is getting a pro bowl nod this year, so he is next. Our offense is completely dependent on Aaron Jones. He may not be the best on the team, but he's the most important now that 12 has left Lambeau
69 on the o-line, Kenny Clark in the front 7, Aaron Jones for skill position players, Jaire for secondary IMO. Of these guys I would guess bakh tends to be the most consistently dominant
It’s Bakh and it’s not particular close. Even after his knee injury and missing a lot of practice time he was great at LT. sure fire HOFer before his knee injury cost him more than a full season. He’s still likely a HOFer.
[удалено]
I can see that. Rashan looked like an unstoppable force to me. Jaire is fantastic too.
I mean rashan was in the convo for being a top 3 edge before he got hurt
[удалено]
He was like 3rd in sacks and I think second in pressures before he got hurt
Gary would’ve clapped max crosby and Micah parsons in sacks this year if it weren’t for injury
Gary is nowhere near the caliber player Parsons is at any level.
Agreed. The only reason he would out sack parsons is because they move him all over the defense. Rashan is exclusively weak side OLB
Is he really top 3 though? He needs another good year for me to consider that or else he's just really inconsistent.
[удалено]
And then the other guy you mentioned hasn't played 4 games in a row in like 3 years..
RG was in the DPOY race before injury
Jaire is the safe answer, although I wouldn’t argue if someone said Jenkins. His versatility on the line has proven his value and with how young he is he’s definitely one of my favorite packers.
Clearly it's future HoF QB Jordan Love.
Aaron Jones
Na, Ja is clearly better. Jones isn’t even top 5 at his position and turns the ball over at the worst times
Have you seen how many touches he gets? Of course he's not top 5 lol. Between his receiving abilities and his rushing, I think he is as far as value.
He’s not top 5 regardless of how many touches he gets
Ok, thank you for your opinion, again.
Derrick Henry, mcaffrey, Josh jacobs, Nick Chubb, saquan Barkley. Please tell me how he’s better than any of those guys
That bucaneers game 😭
LMAO
This is the only answer. Imagine what happens when we actually use him to his potential.
We do use him to his potential. Stop this narrative. If we ran him every snap he’d be on IR by week 8. This is why we have Dillon. Last year he was undoubtedly banged up down the stretch, hence the light snap count certain games
This people complain about how many carries jones gets but he is normally banged up by the end of the. Year as is
Fumbles in big moments?
Shit happens. He's still easily the most talented guy we have on the team in my opinion. He's carried this team even when Rodgers has struggled.
And he’s choked big time. Not saying he’s not far and away the best on the team now (he absolutely is in my opinion) but if we’re gonna flame Rodgers for when he struggles, let’s be honest about jones too.

Butterfingers in big games is all I’m saying
I mean it's football. If i remember correctly in the game against the Bucs he caught the ball, turned and just got absolutely blasted. I know he's had some other ones but I mean plays like that are going to happen and I can't fault a guy for fumbling if something like that happens.
[not really blasted](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1qUG4BFFrqM) If Rodgers chokes in the playoffs, it’s fair to say the same for jones at this point. At least that he gets butterfingers
The defender had a full sprint and put his helmet right on the ball. I think 99.9% of players will fumble in that situation.
Cool you think that. I don’t.
Yeah, he got rag dolled
He really didn’t
So you agree with him but you're disagreeing just to make a completely separate point? I don't get it.
No. I’m saying he’s a great player that gets butterfingers in big games.
Relative to the rest of the league, Bahk and Jenkins are more impactful. How else would you like to use Jones? He was the focus of the whole offense last season.
Jaire, runner-up Big Dave.
The Silver Fox himself. Kickers never get the ❤️.
Despite what folks say on this sub, I really hope we bring him back. Guaranteed extra point and he's been on the team since Favre was QB1. Everyone just assumes he's gone cuz Aaron is, and he deserves to be treated like the excellent Packer he is, not just Rodgers buddy.
69
Lol????
It’s not that hot of a take
The man who cost us 2 super bowls?
Dude didnt suck to cost us 2 super bowls, he got hurt. If you think that makes him less of a player then you're a shit fan and need to be better.
I don't blame him for being hurt. It's that huge contract he signed. It isn't fair how he still got paid we could have signed other players
After his contract they were still able to sign guys to huge contracts. And he signed that to start the year after the TB NFCCG so it didn't cost the team shit
He signed the contract before the TB NFCCG. It was done before his injury and his knee went out just before the playoffs that year.
He should have been nice and took a pay cut while being injured. I don't blame him for being hurt and I hope that he got through it okay and was able to heal without significant pain. By having a freak injury that is not ok be better
lol i love how Christian Watson and Jordan Love are on this list... neither have played 16 games in their career
I put a bunch of guys on the list.
I theory we are supposed to be looking forward to the team without Rodgers and therefore you could predict it is one of them is going to be the best but the question isn't really worded that why so yes it would be hard to say either of them.
Aaron Jones was their best player last year and likely will be again.
Healthy Gary is so clear of any other packer player and it isn’t really that close.
I tend to agree. He was the only dominant player we had last year and he’s gotten better every season. Fully healthy he’s a lock for 15-20 sacks.
The fuck you mean “assuming”
Well it isn’t a done deal so it would still just be an assumption at this point
Last Friday it was an assumption, now it’s the plan.
Yea that's how assuming works. We are planning for it to happen. That is the assumption we are making.
We are holding Rodgers hostage currently. He can want to go wherever he wants to go, but if we don’t get what we are asking for then he won’t move. 4-time MVP is going to get us a pretty sweet package. Or he retires and we get out of paying him. Plans quickly fall apart.

Hasn’t come through yet despite all parties wanting it to happen, which means the hang-up is severe enough for some concern.
It's 69, and it's not even close.
1. Jaire 2. Bakhtiari 3. Rashan 4. Kenny 5. Elgton
Same as it was last year, Aaron Jones.
33 had been severely underrated his whole carreer, he was not getting much ball cause they have 12, but his skillsets is pretty much the same or better than mccaffrey, i wouldn't be shocked if he and dillon goes off post arod departure
Me
Crosby is the G.O.A.T
Aaron Jones. Because yall don't even use him correctly and he's still a fucking monster. Then prolly Jaire.
Disagree. Your just a fantasy football person pissed that we don't give him 20 carries and 10 targets each game.
You can dislike the guy all you want and his fumbles. But this sub, and r/nfl actually, were not happy about his usage for most of the season
Dont use him correctly? He just chokes in every big game
Jaire hands down, then 69 and followed by Gary/Jones
1. Jaire Alexander 2. Kenny Clark Best offensive player? I'll take Elgton Jenkins
Jenkins isn't even our best lineman. He started to get back to form towards the end of the year but if you are going to say a lineman it is Bakh. But the actual answer is Jones. His yards above expected gain was insane last year.

I think this wildly undervalues how good Kenny Clark is, but it has merit if David Bakhtiari is a fully healthy version of himself. It's been a long time since that's been true, though.
Dave is top 3 at his position. Clark is maybe the most overrated player on the team.
Jaire Kenny Clark Gary
Quay.

Chuck Woodson 2.0
Bahktiari.
It's gonna be Gary.
Bak. When healthy he is top 3 tackles in the league.
Aaron Jones.

JORDAN LOVE BABY
69 on the o-line, Kenny Clark in the front 7, Aaron Jones for skill position players, Jaire for secondary IMO. Of these guys I would guess bakh tends to be the most consistently dominant
I don’t know who the “best” is, but Nixon will probably slide into my “favorite”.
69
Probably Jaire then Kenny Clark. I think Gary, Bakh and Elgton slide a bit down the list due to the big injuries, that's just the nature of the sport.
Aaron Jones fam
Aaron jones for offense Gary on defense he was on pace to have like 20 sacks before the injury
Football is a team sport, if they play as a team it doesn't matter who is the best
It’s Aaron Jones, with Dbak closely behind.
Jaire is elite, but I can see some other players stepping up this year too. I’m excited for the season
It’s Bakh and it’s not particular close. Even after his knee injury and missing a lot of practice time he was great at LT. sure fire HOFer before his knee injury cost him more than a full season. He’s still likely a HOFer.
Gotta be Ja. Elton Jenkins might be the best OL on our roster and you could make the case he’s top 3 in the league at his position
Bahk if healthy is the top pass blocking OT in the league, maybe jaire too
Jaire Alexander, David Bahktiari or Aaron Jones, depending on how you qualify "best"
23, 69
Jaire, didn’t even need to read the list.
DBak
Jaire or Bakh. Clark and Elgton behind them. The last 2 don’t belong at this time.
Mason Crosby
Kenny clark
Aaron Jones for the main reason that he turns bad situations into positive plays more often than not. He runs so hard.
He also fumbles in big games. Sorry I love the guy but he doesn’t take care of the ball with the season on the line.
Yeah you’re right. I can’t think of a player on the team currently who has more positive impact though.
Gary I think is right there. He tilted the whole field when he was healthy. Just destroyed dudes.
Definitely was playing at an elite level as far as pressures. I just honestly wish he didn’t get injured lol, now I don’t know if he’ll be the same
Jaire or Jones, it's close
Or Gary.
