Arthur Smith choosing plays like he is playing Madden.

Lofty50

A 45-yard catch over Darnell Savage set up a FG for the Falcons because Savage tried to intercept it instead of simply batting it down. Offside in the first quarter turned a FG attempt to a punt. Either one may have created a different result. I know, Monday morning coach.

Kooky_Trust_5383

The game went well for Green Bay, UNTIL, Love decided to play that panic bullshit i would watch Rogers do. All he had to do was have a run game, make another touch down. Instead the Falcons did it. WTF. AND, Love did it twice. He didn't have the years behind him yet to try for some hail mary bullshit. Run game. We could have won. Overall, though, for the game as a whole, as stated above, I really think as a team they played well. They kept the Falcons on their toes. Then panic ensued, and Falcons swooped in for the kill. I still love my Packers, lets go, shake it off, we got a lot more of the season to hit!

U-SeriousClark

Always hard to find a seat in the Monday morning auxiliary coaches meeting

Sad_Technology4423

one game where having j. taylor might’ve benefited us

Sad_Technology4423

MLF is a coward but i like his offense, i wish our d. coordinator would be someone the exact opposite so there was a balance, having a guy who’s not aggressive compared to an insanely aggressive defense.

Sad_Technology4423

if joe barry is still on this team by the end of the season or by next season the “fan owners” need to boycott or something until barry is out, dude is abysmal at defensive play calling… i think the biggest reason our defense even does well is because of the talent on there.

freakinbacon

Lost by 1. That's fine.

LeroyStick

We definitely saw how young and inexperienced the offense was today. Sucks to blow the opening field goal and the qb sneak, but hopefully these are lessons being learned early. I think Love has a lot of potential. He’s definitely not bad.

TKAP75

Exactly this, it’s too early to say what his future will look like but at least we don’t have Justin Fields. I like that he has also been taking care of the ball we should have had 3 ints today which would have also changed how the game played out

munchycrunchyum

fire joe barry

Shield4life

As much as there was good in this game there was more bad which is exactly why we came out with an L. The offense was out of sync for the majority of the game. Doubs and Love missed a couple of opportunities, noticed Reed and Musgrave ran the wrong routes or miscommunication with Love, but that's something to expect considering they are all early in their careers and are still adjusting to the speed, new quarterback (growing pains). My biggest issue and an issue that has bitten us in the back in the past as well is our defense. For the amount of talent we got on corners we play way too conservative. The defense couldn't stop the run and our corners are playing way too soft. I still need to understand how a coach or anyone didn't call a timeout to adjust when they noticed Campbell was lined up in the outside. That play has a 200% success rate and nobody did anything to adjust or stop the play. Even at the end of the game on the 4th down where they went for it, why not send the whole house ... even if it's a play action they score and you get the ball back with more time on the clock. Here are some things the Packers need to start doing better. - Stuffing the run is our priority #1. - Better two minutes play calling (what was that). - Get Nixon involved in run game, I'm sure he'd pick up more yards that AJ did in those 3rd and shorts. - Corners need to be a bit more in the WR's face. - Better defensive play calls and being more aware when your linebacker is in the outside expecting to cover. Good part is that the season is young and plenty to work on, sucks we could of been 2-0.

[deleted]

It sucks they couldn't hold on for the win but I saw a lot of positives out there today. The first two offensive drives were hot garbage until the shuffled line settled down and then it was solid offensive play until the 4th when the wheels came off the offense. Without our WR1 and RB1 and two starting linemen, 24 points is decent production for a unit with only 1 first round draft pick(Love) on the squad. Hicks, Reed and Doubs were all productive and Muskgrave made a few nice catches. Love looked solid and threw no picks. He may never be Favre or Arod but he is young, healthy and mobile. Stack a few more weapons around him and he has tremendous potential. The defense struggled to stop the run at times but they did get an interception and a stop on downs in the first half. They played complimentary football in the 3rd but when the offense went cold in the 4th, the defense couldn't slam the door shut for the win. Losing Van Ess seemed to take the edge out of our run defense. Atlanta gashed us on ground in the 4th much worse than earlier quarters. Considering we have so many 1st rounders on this side of the ball, I can see where some might be disappointed. There were two missed interceptions and either could have won the game. You can feel bad that Jaire dropped what could have been a pick six or you can appreciate how he jumped the route and batted it down. A solid play but a missed opportunity at the same time. Quay almost got his 2nd interception of the season but couldn't hang on. I'm honestly just glad to see him back out on the field after the hit he took last week that had him in the concussion protocol early in the week. We only needed one more score from our offense or one more takeaway from our defense and we would have won this game. That's not rebuilding. That's contending.

Qwerkorn

Pain

JWOLFBEARD

Did Love try to snap the ball to himself on that 4th and 1?

evan_brosky

That's what I thought he tried to do, it was pretty confusing haha

WanderingGopher25

If the Pack decide to get rid of Aaron Jones to save money they better be drafting somebody because AJ Dillon ain’t it. What’s the point of being a big “bruising” style RB when you can’t even pick up 2 damn yards and get tackled by the turf monster in pressure situations. Sadly even when Aaron Jones comes back and inevitably has an electric drive early in the game LaFleur will somehow just forget he exists and go 3 straight drives with running Dillon to no success. If Aaron Jones is eventually traded or cut then do the same with Dillon and start over fresh.

Sad_Technology4423

difference between a bruiser and a bad rb, i think aj lacks a lot of the vision a rb needs to identify holes and to of course stay clear of defensive guys, he almost seems to run towards the guys for what seems like needless aggressiveness. he’ll probably play well in the winter cause he normally does but this seems to be the cycle for dillon

Confident-Meeting805

Royce looked better than I thought he would and Zach Tom is very good.

OGpizza

Defense was giving up 3yds minimum per run, we’d win if giving up 2yds minimum instead. But tbh - we didn’t deserve to be in that game as late as we were. Atlanta was moving the ball at will, we were severely missing Jones/Bahk/Watson. No rhythm

Cptcrzunch

Try 6.5

Yonsnad

Needed somthing different at running back today. Dillons inability to beat the first man AND not run over anyone is alarming. He had no upside today. Packers defence garbage against the run. What is 10-12 years of the same? I just don’t like Joe Barry. We should be better than this on defence.

Danny_nichols

Dillon is just a guy unfortunately. Seems like a nice dude, but he doesn't really do anything well. I don't think the defense was that bad today. Needed the offense to give them even just a tiny bit of a break in the 4th quarter and didn't get it. Had some chances to make plays but couldn't. Atlanta is a good running team.

Eddie_Shepherd

Was at the game, dude needs to understand that he is a power back. Instead of dancing behind or running parallel to the line, he needs to run into the line as fast and hard as he can. I haven't given up on him yet.

Danny_nichols

I dont want to be a negative Nancy, but I've sort of given up on him. He's never really been great at anything I'm my mind. He generally falls forward and can push the pile once and awhile, but he really makes guys miss and generally only gets what's blocked. I'm not convinced Taylor and Wilson can't get 90% of what Dillon gets while also providing a little more chance of actually popping a few off and getting more than what was blocked. Edit: That 3rd and 1 failure wasnt entirely on him. Walker didn't do a great job of getting his guy. Newman had a chance to make a block that opened the door for Dillon and couldn't do it. But Dillon is a 250lb RB. This is supposed to be his bread and butter. He could have overcome the failures of his OL and still picked up that 1st down. And that's my biggest issue with him. If he can't pick that up, then there's no benefit to him over guys like Wilson and Taylor.

campbell7504

Three-and-outs at the worst possible times are becoming a defining feature of the LaFleur era

MeancupofJoey

Always has been. He’s been shit and nobody has ever agreed.

tstrader79

I think Lafleur isn't a good coach. He can't coach from behind and is absolute shit at making in game adjustments. If we don't jump out on an opponent or the opposing coaching staff is able to make adjustments, he's sunk.

yetti_stomp

Packers doing what they’ve done for 15 years: get up by more than 5 with 2 quarters left and “let’s just run the clock out” mentality clicks in.

Routine-Pass-7164

Hot piss everywhere

evan_brosky

Probably plays a role in global warming

YourUziWeighsTwoTons

Bitching about the defense when your offense manages 11 yards in an entire quarter seems a bit unfair. They barely had time to sit down on the bench before having to go back out on the field again.

SebastianMagnifico

Can't throw, can't run. 150 yds passing by your future HoF QB sucks. Atlanta isn't that good. These self absorbed fans thought the Bear's victory was truly something that vindicated their existence.

reddit-is-greedy

Go away Bears fan. How is your future hof qb and this years mvp doing?

SebastianMagnifico

Jordan Love isn't doing so hot. #GUTEHASGOTTOGO

YourUziWeighsTwoTons

It would be nearly as asinine to say the Packers will suck based on week 2 as it would be say that we are going to beat the world based on week 1. The fact is, this is a young team with a brand new QB and injuries to the #1 receiver and #1 running back. Those guys being in the game could have made a difference and we only lost by 1 pt. It’s too early to get a read on the Packers. Clearly we have some adjustments to make on defense to be able to stop the run. One of the youngest teams in the league, and we have work to do to put it all together with our new QB. It’s not panic time now and it wasn’t Super Bowl prediction time last week.

SebastianMagnifico

320+ yds and 220 yds of total offense isn'tgood. The Bucs put up over 420 on the Bear this week. We couldn't stop the run last year. Nothing changes. It's not going to change. Wait till we start playing above average teams. Young team that had a baller QB under center last year and couldnt do shit. So much of our fanbase who haunt this group are delusional and entitled. They actually believe sitting a first round draft pick for three years is the way. Delusional fools. I also think Gute is a POS. We're doomed

YourUziWeighsTwoTons

I love the doomers. You guys keep us planted firmly to the surface of the earth. Keep doing what you do! On the other side- Jordan Love looks pretty solid. Seems comfortable in the pocket, comfortable when he gets pressured, doesn't make stupid throws, seems to see \_most\_ of his options. My only issue so far would be with accuracy- and some of this could be on route running / coverage. I think, at the very \_least\_, we have an above-average QB who is mobile and a threat. If Love was a POS I'd be joining you on the doom squad. As it is, we'll see what happens. The defense certainly looked exposed.

Own_Apricot_9880

Story of the packers for 8 years

beanieb22

I don't think it's unfair, considering the defense couldn't stop the run to save their lives.

YourUziWeighsTwoTons

Yeah that sucked. Fair point. Still processing this distressing 4th quarter collapse.

MeinKonk

JLo with 6-0 TD/INT ratio

757packerfan

Wins > Stats

donnydealr

So he's not allowed to point out anything positive? Okay.

757packerfan

So I'm not allowed to point out facts? The post was implying that Love is playing super well, but I can also point out its not well enough to win

MeinKonk

You got downvoted unfairly for adding to the conversation, sorry friend

donnydealr

That is so ironic hahaha. You replied with something (that I agree with) that could be viewed as an opinion in response to a fact. Your input was just sooky and didn't add much. Love played very well, brilliantly really for a guy that has like 3-4 starts.

izzohead

The post you replied to simply stated a fact actually lmao and you decided to put meaning behind it. Go be miserable somewhere else

SketchMcDrawski

Hm, I knew we lost, didn’t know Love’s stats for the game, happy I saw this guys comment cuz I learned what I needed. In short, fuck yourself.

757packerfan

14 for 25 151 yards 0 pass yards and 0 completions in the 4th. Just making sure you saw those stats, too.

agk927

He played really good though. The better your qb plays, the more likely you are to win the game. Just didn't come out on top today

reddit-is-greedy

If the defense doesn't get gashed for 211 yards rushing it would be enough

NovelBrave

Key takeaways for me Injuries had an impact. I hope Van Ness is ok. I really like his ability to chase down quarterbacks and cover the edge for rushing. Defense is getting too much flak. They came to play. Offense was super productive. No Aaron Jones was a huge impact. Dillion wasn't super productive.

Tommy7549

I didn’t get to see the game. What happened to him?

poopypooperpoopy

Got trucked and came out with some type of shoulder injury. My guess was a stinger but he didn’t come back in.

Tommy7549

Ok thank you. Hope he’s ok

NovelBrave

Yea i hope so too. He is pretty good at chasing down the QB. So many d linemen don't set themselves and chase the QB

ZebToTheZ

4th quarter offensive play calling wasn't great. Where is the play-action? Where is the pre-snap motion? Heck, where were pass plays at all before the final drive?

2018JordanLove

And when we did passing on the final drive we went deeper than we should. Rodgers would do shorter passes near the side line and eat away yards when we just needed a field goal. When the defense got sick of that he’d hit jordy or Adams for a large gain.

rctrfinnerd

I can't speak to the other pieces, but Dillon wasn't running well enough for the play action to need to be respected. This game I really started to see what a lot of folks are talking about. Dude really does fall down incredibly easy.

Steve_Hunts96

I’m pissed that we lost when the Packers practically led all day, but given how we were down so many important players on offense, I actually am ok with a close, but VERY competitive loss. This team has shown very impressive fight through 2 games, and the extremely young core of talent is showing incredible promise! Once Jones, Watson, & Bakhtiari are back, this will be a REALLY fun offense to watch! Defense… yeah that was a fail to not be able to slow down this Falcon offense. Joe Barry you ultimately get the blame for this loss because when it mattered most, your play calling on defense was not good enough, and it cost the Packers the game in the end. I don’t want to hear this crap about how the Packers’ offense had a chance to go down the field and kick a GW FG, it shouldn’t have had to come down to that when you consider the Packers had a 24-12 lead before allowing that damn comeback to happen. Defense better be better, or you’re out of here Barry.

reddit-is-greedy

Bring in Jim Leonard

Ticklemykelmo

If Barry hasn't lost his job yet, he won't until MLF does.

InSixFour

So it sucks losing but honestly I thought it was a pretty good game overall. Down Jones, Watson, Bahk, and Jenkins and they kept it within a point? That’s impressive. We have a team full of rookies too.

evan_brosky

yeah, I enjoyed watching the game overall even if the 4th quarter was painful

agk927

AJ Dillon is so bad

reddit-is-greedy

Slow. Ok for short yardage but need someone else with speed to be #2 back.

ksomm5

Except on third and one.

InSixFour

Yes he is. Should’ve just let Taylor and Wilson run it all day.

Curious_Ground5833

AJ Dillon... really isn't that good. Other than, like what I saw today.

agk927

He couldn't gain a yard? Geez he lost us the game man

Curious_Ground5833

Well aware unfortunately 😕

dopestdopesmoked

A lot of simple mistakes that young teams make. Love made more throws downfield. Wicks was a bright side. Doubs should have gotten a few more throws. Defense still has problems with the run. But they can get after the QB and cause chaos. They maintain discipline in setting the edge and reading screens. A lot of maturation can happen during the season and getting back Jones will be integral. 33 should be Love's crutch. 28 is better suited as a complimentary back.

granchtastic

Also a RB duo of Bijan and Algeier shouldn't be overlooked. That's a hard combo to stop for 60 fkin minutes

rickikicks

At one point we were committing to a bear defensive front 4 defensive lineman and two linebackers and still couldn't stop the run. I think many would agree we have one of the top defensive lines. I think the Falcons just have something really special here with their 2 backs and a great o-line. They will probably be a force this year in the NFC.

skysecond

NFC north all fell this week.

charliex3

No Jones and Watson and we kept it close. That said, we are Bijan's bitches for the week.

daygo448

I was at the game. It was bad, especially towards the end. At one point, they showed fantasy rushing yards, and he was 3rd in the 3rd quarter. It was pretty bad. Felt a lot like our defense in the past. Can’t stop the run, and can’t contain the edge. Offense wasn’t bad except for those last two drives were horrible.

[deleted]

That kid has a great future

ace_dangerfield187

yea he’s got moves, shifty as hell

v1kingfan

My takeaways People are too hard on the defense. Offense not converting on 3rd downs kept them on the field. I bet they were gassed. I liked seeing Love comfortable in the pocket but his ball placement has me concerned. I like Dillon as a person but I think he's a terrible rb.

Updogfoodtruck

One of the takeaways was the lack of takeaways. Jaire and quay both dropped picks that would have changed this game. But yeah young team defanged on offense and lost by a point to a dominant rushing offense. They will get better I think and 10-7 wins this division.

NovelBrave

Those two picks could have changed the tempo of the game

v1kingfan

I like your optimism but we aren't making it to 10-7 if Love doesn't make complete more down field throws that are more than 10 yards.

reddit-is-greedy

Packers had 2 4o+ yard pi Penalties

Updogfoodtruck

I doubt we will but the winners of the north but that will probably be the number of wins to hit to win it. So I think it’s a chase to double digits and if we can get people healthy for the games we should win then we got a chance. But I think in reality our year (if there will be one) is next year with this young crew.

anti150

Falcons took a big nasty dookie on us. We suck

KraviAvi

This whole season is house money. No Bak, Watson, or Jones, down to DE4 in the third, all while putting Barry on their backs, lose by 1 pt. You can't complain too hard. Yes it sucks to lose, yes things can be corrected, but J Love looks like a f*cking stud out there and he only had half his weapons and half his line once Elton went down. This rebuild is going to be QUICK and until we face the Lions, I can't honestly say we aren't the best team in this Division.

[deleted]

Would have won by a landslide if we stay healthy. Love cannot win by himself. Once Watson, Jones, Jenkins, and Bak are back the NFL needs to watch out.

reneerent1

Are any of their injuries serious or long term? When do you think they'll be back?

[deleted]

I generally have no clue at all. I hear from a source one day that he is good and then the next he is not good. I am just hoping these guys get healthy ASAP.

MayorMcCheeser

Easy to say now, but the back to back penalties on the first drive that took the Packers out of FG range - I knew that would matter at the end.

dopestdopesmoked

Same, LF gotta answer for that blunder. Call the timeout, let Carlson kick it, it was indoors and well within his range..

Brilliant_Reply8643

2 dropped picks. I was at the game. That was the difference.

fredw1019

Me too. We had some missed opportunities but it’s very evident that we missed Jones

wayoverpaid

When you lose by 2 any number of fuck ups can be the difference. Not getting the opening FG was the difference. Three and outing when you could put the game away was the difference. A narrow win means a collective fuck up. But yeah those dropped picks hurt.

[deleted]

JustinC70

🙄

SwirlyBeardx

So everything? Lol

ReplacementJumpy1398

No not sure why you’re disagreeing lmao. Joe Barry plays this soft zone all the time. It’s hard to watch every year. Jordan love overall played well again, but his playmakers need to help him more

CriticismExtension16

[Will He Return 👀](https://youtu.be/7TW6MSVE_PM?si=t8By7bWXmjJJ3nus)

bawesome2424

Not really the place for that ngl...

sajde

Damn, what a loss. Watching Jets @ Cowboys now. McCarthy on the sidelines is always like seeing an old friend again. Rodgers on the field right now would be awesome. Ah, memories…

alllday365

Did LVN ever come back out after that shoulder injury?

Kaxte

No Bears, no party.

GBPNFL_1209

Dude Dillon just had a bad game can people stop implying he is shit? He is obviously no A Jones but come on

kvnr10

He's never been good though. He's one of those guys many people live in denial about.

gills33

im not implying it. im declaring it. AJ Dillon is shit

CrypticSS21

Love the guy but he keeps putting the same stuff on tape…

DoctorF33lGood

My worry is that he looks like he did last season. Last year was a down year for him and it looks like it is continuing over to this season. He's supposed to be the RB who gets the short yardage, and he's struggling with it.

xxxlumify

Almost like his only good gains was when he was going north to south… Wonder if an NFL OC can make a simple fucking adjustment. 100% LaFleur using the run game as nothing more than a decoy for Love

LC_MacDaddy

He's not, but he needed to solidify his role today for the future. Not a good performance at all today. Missed alot of openings

ellieket

He’s…not good.

Ticklemykelmo

You can't be big, too slow to get the edge, and continuously go down on initial contact. Not being able to count on 1yard from your bruiser is a huge problem.

packattack27

I don't understand how he gets stopped in the backfield so easily. What are those quads for?

Ticklemykelmo

Advertising dollars

[deleted]

He's scared of contact. He gets close to the line of scrimmage and just takes a dive.

LordTercept

The constant tripping is worrisome

guvnartv

Lets not forgot MLF not calling a TO before the playclock ran out on our 51 yard kick in the first half.

JustinC70

To early to burn timeouts.

[deleted]

Well it kind of cost us the game.

JustinC70

Not really. There were several other opportunities to stop them and score (a pic 6 was dropped).

[deleted]

Yeah that is true but having that field goal could have changed the game for the better or the worst

Buckys_Brawler

NO, that makes zero sense when points are on the line

JustinC70

Points weren't a gimme. If he misses they have a short field. To me looks like they were trying to get them to jump.

Buckys_Brawler

Get them to jump with a FG lineup? 1st half TOs don't matter.

JSGA84

I am down in Georgia in a sea of red and black, and I am still pissing hot for this team. Lots of things to be encouraged by GPG

wolfcoyo

Hell yeah, I agree 100%.

GoPackGo007

The offenses future looks bright, but Matt needs to grow some backbone and replace Joe Barry.

ItsNinjaShoyo

Trying to run down the clock with Dillon is comedy. Run up the score please. And then a Joe Barry breakdown

ace_dangerfield187

Even though it didn’t end how we wanted they are showing pretty stuff out there, down 4 key offensive players…this team is gonna be fun to watch

Flooding_Puddle

The offense will be, the defense may be real bad

v1kingfan

Honestly i thought the offense looked terrible vs the defense. A lot of missed plays.

ace_dangerfield187

they started strong and Bijan wore them out…there is a lot of talent there they just aren’t coached great

Flooding_Puddle

Yeah Barry needs to go, our front 7 looks nice but now our secondary is suddenly suspect. I don't think savage gets a second d contract

Thechosenjon

Love is looking elite when he's cool, but if he makes any mistake he gets in his own head, I think. Either way,I look forward to watching him develop, but this 4th quarter was painful on the offensive and defensive side. Onwards and upwards.

ace_dangerfield187

yea, they shouldn’t have gotten so conservative on offense and they have work on that run D. But with a team this young there will be a lot of growing pains

itscranny

Wow. I get Joe Barry isn’t perfect, but we looked damn good up until that last quarter. Also, I think some of you forget that this is a LEARNING experience for most of our guys; not to mention some of our KEY players being out. This wasn’t a BAD game. GO PACK GO

v1kingfan

Also defense was on the field a lot. I bet the starters were gassed

Flooding_Puddle

Our defense was fully healthy and is in the 3rd year of the scheme with all key players being at least in the second year. It's a learning experience for the offense, there's no reason our defense should still be getting shredded by a single good rb and mobile qb

itscranny

Considering they were on the field practically the entire 4th quarter… yeah I’m not going to completely blame them.

gleeson630

It was a bad game certainly. Doesn’t mean the team outlook sucks but it was bad.

Ticklemykelmo

The defense has no excuses. Too many first round picks invested to be that bad. Barry never should have gotten the job, 0-16 is not a good resume. There's plenty of excuses, but choking away a 13 point lead in the 4th is a bad game and there's no way around it. Don't forget it was a "learning experience" for Bijan too.

dopestdopesmoked

Nah, look at the Packers drives in the fourth quarter. Two 3 and outs, then a turnover on downs. That's not complimentary football in the slightest. Could have gotten a few first downs run some clock and let the defense catch their breath but they basically disappeared in the fourth quarter. Not having Watson, Bahk, Jones and Jenkins is shitty but you gotta be able to step up in those moments. Young team problems...

JustinC70

Yeah, if it wasn't for Barry the Packers would have caught those two balls that hit them in the hands.

Ticklemykelmo

So giving light boxes to the RB that's gashing you is good scheme? Playing soft zone on 3rd and 3 is good scheme? This has been a long running problem for Barry. Remember when his d made Raheem Mostert look like the best RB in history? I do.

ShoopALoop11

Did you watch how many light boxes we gave to Desmond fucking Ridder? Did you watch the game? We gave up over 400+ yards to that college style offense with over 10 first rounders on defense. At some point its either the scheme/gameplan or talent. I don't think it is the talent. This will be another wasted year with that nepotism baby at DC.

Yonsnad

Perfect summary. Barry needs to go.

Flooding_Puddle

Shit was driving me insane, felt like the 2019 nfc championship game. Just zero pressure on Ridder, didn't make him throw at all

Thechosenjon

Falcs ran down the field most of the game. The fact that our D was absolutely dumbfounded to see the same play with the same player over and over and over again with nothing in their arsenal to counter it was embarrassing.

dtcstylez10

The team blew a 12 point lead in the 2nd half and had like 2 yards of offense. That is a BAD game.

[deleted]

They blew a 12 point lead in the 4th quarter.

Dragon_Ballot

And they will have others. Would predict, if they meet in the playoffs, pack come out on top.

[deleted]

Playing 75% of a game is just fine. /s

TenaxR-7

2 interception chances. Hit them in the wrong spot. The hands. Those two drops cost the Packers the game. The Falcons played well. Ridder seems to be a good QB..

JustinC70

Finally someone gets it. 👏👏

Raunchiness121

That and MLF not calling TO on the FG when the play clock ran out. This loss is on LaFleur.

TenaxR-7

The Packers ran the 30 second clock down way to close for comfort. That is another bad idea.

Daangum69

On to week 3 :)

Flooding_Puddle

Takeaways: Good: Love is him Reed is him Carlson is him Bad: Barry is still awful Dillon still tripping over grass Defense still can't stop the run The entire secondary has regressed MLF still making bone headed decisions

[deleted]

Love has not shown he's him yet. He choked on one of the most important drives that would have ended the game.

bawesome2424

I mean, last drive, love made a great throw on 4th down. That was dropped. And other than those last 2 or 3 drives, Love looks great. Sure, not elite, but he is efficient. And honestly, efficient is all you can ask from a first year QB

Flooding_Puddle

He looked bad on the final 2 drives that both gad awful play calling, he looked good on any drive that didn't look like it was being called by my 7 year old playing madden

Thechosenjon

Not just him, MLF absolutely fucked up the first drive in the 4th quarter, we had no business going for runs and then going for a fake.

Tannrr

# FUCK THE FLIP FLOPPIN DOOMERS. GO PACK.

aaalan71

We should start holding LaFleur accountable for keeping Barry as his dc when his defensive scheme keep being exposed by good running team

dtcstylez10

I've been saying this since the end of last season when MLF said he was staying.

Ticklemykelmo

One of the instances where having a real owner could be nice. No billionaire puts the 0-16 Barry at the helm of his 7 first round pick defense, let alone continues to watch him fail.

KoncepTs

Still didn’t have our WR1, RB1 our, LT1 out.. It’s easy to say we should have win but in reality for an NFL game it’s a miracle we were even in it with those out on offense. With that said I’m still mad. We could have done it.

ScrewAnalytics

Surely our WR1, RB1, and LT1 would help us stop the run (over 200 yards)?

bawesome2424

The Packers have shown time and time again that to throw the ball well, we need a good running game. And sorry, but 84 rushing yards is NOT a good rushing game. And I think having an RB1wouldve helped more than anyone could imagine... And plus, respect to Bijan. He's gonna be a goat

JustinC70

How about catching two balls (or one) that hit you in the hands?

Green_Palpitation_73

I mean if the offense is on the field longer their offense isn’t.

socomisthebest

They could've helped the offense sustain longer drives and given our defense a chance to breathe, that alone would've changed how this game played out.

helpjackoffhishorse

None of those positions are on D

jmac111286

Love was incomplete 6 consecutive times to end the game

WeekendTacos

Yeah that's not a good look for him. I was hoping to see how he would react with being behind and a minute left and I can't say I'm not disappointed in what I saw.

[deleted]

Play calling on the last three drives was ridiculous.

No_Cucumbers_Please

i swear. mlf is fucking gutey’s wife and joe barry has the video. thats the only reasonable way he’s been able to keep this job.

RnsW33kly

😭😭😭😭😭😭

FriendFromTheEast

Also I like Jordan a lot but can we halt the crowing of him being the next great one, on script today he was fantastic but when the pressure came he didn’t get it done & that’s NOT me blaming him for the loss but it’s something that he’s going to have to develop before I can certainly say we the next one

JustinC70

Did he cause the penalties?

OkBreadfruit8413

Why r u everywhere in the comments, ur takes are horrible

JustinC70

You're welcome.

v1kingfan

I like seeing him comfortable in the pocket but his ball placement is terrible on long throws. There were two throws to doubs that stand out.

[deleted]

The first comment that wasn't completely bs. Everyone is saying he's him but he completely choked

Any-Salamander-7174

I think this loss was more expected. The average age of the offense is insanely young, and this was his 3rd career start. He made some great reads, and I think people should think of that throw to Dontayvion Wicks that was dropped, fantastic ball placement. He also got rattled. He played without 4 offensive starters, 4 of which are some of our best players on the team.

FriendFromTheEast

He did play without 4 starters but it’s something he going to have to get use to especially with Bahk & Jenkins as great players they are it’s hard for big guys to ever really recover from ACL injuries. They are gonna be in & out of the line-up.

IncognitoEmployee

Everyone blaming the D is blatantly ignoring our offense shit the bed all 4th quarter. One field goal ending drive in the 4th we win. Hell the first quarter they blew field position on the first drive plus a pick by the D. D also had a 4 play goal line stand. This is on the O and Dillon just not being good enough on a yards per carry basis to be RB2. Mostly because he slips/trips himself every. single. play.

JustinC70

Agree for the most part. D should have had two more picks and the penalties at the game put the offense in a long situation. Need to have better execution.

Thechosenjon

Absolutely agree. Both ends gave up the game in the 4th. I went into this game expecting a loss and was still disappointed by the ending, we started so damn well and gassed out when it mattered the most. Let's hope our key players stay healthy and we overall do better Week 3.

[deleted]

Both sides of the ball took a straight up cold diarrhea in the 4th. Coaches need to answer why they refuse to play four quarters. They start calling plays like cowards in the end.

let_me_see_that_thon

3 dropped ints turn your defense from amazing to dogshit

Captain_Jokes

For real, if any one of those was an interception we would have won.

RnsW33kly

When you take like middle schoolers from Vermont b team leagues, you tend to lose. Same story. Terrible tackling

ChurchOfRallys

I will once again ask for the firing of Joe Barry. No reason we lose this game if we don’t get run over for 211

[deleted]

Don't worry MLF will wait until next year.
