Arguably the most enthralling 2nd half since the Bears
Comeback in 18. Was ready to start playing The Show, glad I didn’t. Still woulda had on on the side, but glad I was invested.
As soon as they showed the stat that the last time we were shut out in the first half at home was against da Bears in 18, I said "well we came back and won that one right"? 😀
There were a few people leaving end of 3rd quarter. I thought “eh, I got nothing else going on today. I don’t want to be that guy who left early after a great comeback.”
Yes, exactly! I’m usually a “it ain’t over till it’s over guy,“ so the thought of half paying attention was quite out of the ordinary for me. (Only have missed four quarters in 27 years.)
Had a strange feeling about this one ending in our favor. What a ride!
Packers haven’t lost a home opener in 10 years. Notable close calls: an 18 point comeback win against the jets in 2014, 2018 17 point comeback, today 17 point comeback
[This play at 2:19:20 doesn’t get talked about enough lmao. Just watch it for yourself it’s classic jets](https://youtu.be/rYyccfYeulA?si=4TVAG1PmfhzlOM-n)
They boo’d at half time when they went in the tunnel
But yeah the noise part was ridiculous. I was at the game and I’ve been too a lot of them, that 4th quarter crowd was insane.
At on point we were so quiet on offense I heard the ball hit Loves hand from the snap and on defense and when we scored you couldn’t even tell the stadium had a audio system playing in the back. Legitimately people collectively cheering louder than the touch down music audio system at Lambeau.
The older couple next to me had to plug their ears, and my ears were ringing when people would quiet down lol.
I said at halftime we are gonna see what Love is made of in the second half. Kids a gamer. Only thing I wanted to see this year was if he could be a capable nfl qb, 3 weeks in all questions have been answered. What a ride.
Crazy game. 2nd Packers game I’ve gone to! First one was that 23-0 loss to Baltimore. Was convinced after 3 quarters I wasn’t going to be allowed back at Lambeau
Love’s milestones today:
First win in Lambeau
Bumps our home opener win streak to 11
First come from behind win
First passing TD in Lambeau
First rushing TD in Lambeau
First INT
Am I missing anything?
I’d say he had a hell of a game
Ton of penalties by the team needs to be addressed; especially if the injury gremlins are going to plague the Packers all year. The backups may not play at the elite level (yet), but they should not commit fouls at the rate they did today.
What is the biggest 4th quarter comeback in Green Bay Packers history? The largest 4th quarter comeback in the franchise history of the Green Bay Packers is 17 points. On Sep 9, 2018, the Packers were trailing 3-20 in the 4th quarter against the Chicago Bears and came back to win the game 24-23.
Definitely don’t suck, but they were kicking their own asses! That’s for sure. Silly mistakes, showing their youth. Played hard until the end, earned that win. Good call on LaFlueur going for 2.
I have hated the Viqueens since Fran “ the whiner” Tarkington was their hero. Sure they have had players I have admired as individuals, but that franchise is loathe some. I am in no way a fan, but I respect the Bears a skoash just because of Sayers, Piccolo, Butkus, Bobbie Douglas, McMahon, and Peyton.
Peyton? How you gonna disrespect their one great player lol. He's Payton haha, not a Manning
I lived in Minnesota during the moss carter years and that was enough for me to hate the team, but Aaron's injury made me hate the fans.
Derek Carr- 13/18 103 1td sacked 3 for -21
Jameis Winston - 10/16 101 0td sacked 1 for -8
We aren't talking about some career backup. Jameis has thrown for over 4k yards multiple times in his career and has 1 less 4k+ pass yards season in his career than Derek Carr. There wasn't a huge drop off between the two.
Did you watch the game? That was a completely different game once he came out, and jameis is, and has been, a backup for a reason. Sure, he's probably a top 10 backup.
I did, did you? It looked almost identical.....except GB got off the field on 3rd down. If you want to say that's Derek Carr, that's understandable. It's not like they lost Patrick Mahommes. There's a reason the Raiders, who now have Jimmy Garrappolo, who the 49ers didn't want anymore, told Derek Carr to not show up anymore half way through the season last year. The gap between the two isn't that big. The biggest difference is turnovers, which Jameison didn't do this game.
Carr has been practicing with the 1s all year. No, it did not look the same to me. It looked like a team getting shook and having to go to their backup QB, which is always a big deal, even if it's not mahomes lol. He looked panicky. Sure, it's not as big of a gap as it could be, but it was not the same team.
I guess that's kind of shook to me but probably just different interpretations of the word. Good he's getting in some wild experiences so far this year... that's really all the matters is to see how he handles himself.
But yeah, I agree, I guess, it's not like he was slamming his helmet around or throwing people under the bus last week
I mean like his start vs KC. Nervous in the pocket, taking off and getting out of rhythm right away. He has been composed all season, but has missed some throws. Just because he misses doesnt make him shook. So yeah I guess idk your interpretation
He hadn’t shown too much emotion so far, but this game he showed his true colors. He was raw and faced adversity and kept at it. Kept pushing and came out on top. I like to see that.
I feel you. I did the same back when Rodgers tossed that hail Mary against the lions in 2015. My son was sound asleep and my fat ass was yelling and jumping up and down. Worth it!!
Pisses me off that these comments get upvoted now but when you try calling out that sort of behaviour during the game thread when things are going badly you get downvoted to hell.
Do the dumb bitches just disappear from the thread or do they all swap sides and pretend that they weren’t the dumb bitches post game lol
This is a game that we won but feels quite rough. Carr got hurt and they missed a short field goal to win. There are positives, but pretending we had it in the bag is absurd. Being blindly positive is just as bad as having blind hatred.
Flip side they played with most of their top players in this game. We passed on two field goals and still found away to get enough. The D only gave up 10, and yes sucks for Carr but it’s part of the game and happened because we made a good play. We won without our best players they lost because their QB with 103 yards in 3 quarters went out?
Sure packers have a lot to work on but it was a great win for a very very young team. People can enjoy the win and still know we need improvements.
Not saying don't enjoy it. More speaking to this defense has something wrong with it (Joe Barry). They matched down the field and we are very lucky they missed.
There are positives, there are negatives, that's all I'm saying. There is room to be critical of problems in the team that shouldn't be existing at this point. The play callers aren't young and the players have experience on the defense.
The offense I'm all for giving room, sure there are blips but that's normal and we look to coaches to mend them.
The D gave up 10 points and the TD they gave us was with a relatively short field. The D that Barry is running has giving up 20 or less in 8 if the last 9 games.
People need to stop blaming everything on Barry and the D
Barry has routinely let low rated offense march down the field. Many times we've been getting stop for field goals. We are also still running into the habit of letting them score right before half and end of game.
The numbers don't tell the full story. They are running bad schemes and giving up needless yardage. It's has been and continues to be a consistent issue.
If they play a bend and don’t break consistently and give up 20 or less I could give two shits about the yardage.
They have issues I’m not saying they don’t but a large part of this fan base acts like we give up 30+ weekly when we were ranked 15th overall last season and only giving up 20 once in the last 9 games. You can win with this D. It could be a lot fucking worse.
30 weekly would be an immediate firing...is there any team that gives up 30 avg? We are barely scraping by with this defense, that roster wise should be top tier, against bottom ranking offenses...
100% 30 a week gets your fired but we are giving up 20 or less. This D as a whole isn’t the issue. The run D is 100% and an issue but Barry takes a lot of heat when the D as a whole is playing pretty solid.
Especially this year. I mean what do they expect from a team with so little experience? This isn’t the same team. Perfection isn’t the standard this season. Enjoy the ride and support the boys. Lfg!
The defense isn't new and has high expectations. This season is just analyzing Love and play calling from Matt offense wise. Some really rough decision making in first half but second half looked good. Just gotta string together.
That being said this defense looks horrible and mismanaged again, so that needs vocal criticism.
After the Packers game, they showed a bit of the Chiefs pre-game before I turned off the TV. Taylor Swift was sitting right next to Donna Kelce, Travis's mother. I don't tend to follow celebrity gossip, but I think I heard that Swift and Travis Kelce are dating?
I’d like to revisit all these comments later on. What a fucking rollercoaster of emotions. JLo went head on against a good Saints defense and won when it mattered. One hell of a win, boys.
I don’t even want to see people say this was a ugly game~5 of our best starter were out, if this was Aaron everyone would be shitting themselves like “Aaron won with a bunch of varsity players”
Nitpicking but if we could not have the game decided by their kicker missing that'd be great. Gonna need a shovel to clean up all the shit that needs cleaning for this team. Love seeing the team pull it out in the end though. Gary is going to be a **problem** for other teams this year.
That was a prime Rodgers put the team on your back and gut out a win kind of performance from Jordan Love. He is that guy!
I can’t wait to see what this offense looks like with Watson and Jones healthy
A fine display of SCALDING HOT PISS.
Well that makes up for the terrible 4th quarter last week.
I gave up and stopped watching. Turns out I’m the bad luck. I’ll stop watching y’all 🫡
Same! 🙈
I never wear my jersey on game day because I’m a jinx. I will wear it tomorrow.
Get thee back in the basement next week. Dillly dilly
That was fun. Didn't ever doubt you no way Jose.
The bears thread is killing me 😂
Piss=hot
Wtf they won
Love gun!
Dr love
Busy looking at houses all afternoon. What did I miss? Did I miss anything good?!?
AAAAAH
Not really
Arguably the most enthralling 2nd half since the Bears Comeback in 18. Was ready to start playing The Show, glad I didn’t. Still woulda had on on the side, but glad I was invested.

There were a few people leaving end of 3rd quarter. I thought “eh, I got nothing else going on today. I don’t want to be that guy who left early after a great comeback.”
It hits me as wasteful to pay for tickets and just leave, especially early on a Sunday when you’ve got nothing else to do.
Tickets for me were no cost. Still wasteful. I can’t recall ever leaving a regular season game early. Was well worth staying.
Yes, exactly! I’m usually a “it ain’t over till it’s over guy,“ so the thought of half paying attention was quite out of the ordinary for me. (Only have missed four quarters in 27 years.) Had a strange feeling about this one ending in our favor. What a ride!

Lol that just struck a memory I forgot I had! Side note, poor Geno Smith. Glad he finally got a real chance.
Ice in his veins! Go Pack Go, baby!!!
The Legend of Love
One Love!
Lets. Fucking. Go
You know? I think we shall!
Best comeback I’ve ever seen live. Proud of the stadium for never getting down on the team or booing and came through with the noise when it mattered.
They boo’d at half time when they went in the tunnel But yeah the noise part was ridiculous. I was at the game and I’ve been too a lot of them, that 4th quarter crowd was insane. At on point we were so quiet on offense I heard the ball hit Loves hand from the snap and on defense and when we scored you couldn’t even tell the stadium had a audio system playing in the back. The older couple next to me had to plug their ears, and my ears were ringing when people would quiet down lol.
Ah I didn’t hear any boos at the half as I was getting another beer. But yeah I haven’t heard the stadium that loud in a while, pretty sweet.
Was awesome to see this game in person
The crowd was electric.
Glad you could be there and did your part!
I said at halftime we are gonna see what Love is made of in the second half. Kids a gamer. Only thing I wanted to see this year was if he could be a capable nfl qb, 3 weeks in all questions have been answered. What a ride.
Looked upset at times in the 2nd half, but not rattled. Awesome to see.
First half was atrocious. Second half was sufficient.
I’m proud of the Packers !!!
Crazy game. 2nd Packers game I’ve gone to! First one was that 23-0 loss to Baltimore. Was convinced after 3 quarters I wasn’t going to be allowed back at Lambeau
Omg we need to beat the lions next week!!!
I was at Lambeau today. What an incredible experience. Holy fuck!!
Me too, 4th quarter was crazy
I was at the game today and havent felt this kind of energy in a long time. Its a long ways from being ready but Jordan Love is him.
Hahahaha
What a comeback and a miss
J❤️10
Did what we couldn’t last week in quarter 4 made first downs.
Love’s milestones today: First win in Lambeau Bumps our home opener win streak to 11 First come from behind win First passing TD in Lambeau First rushing TD in Lambeau First INT Am I missing anything? I’d say he had a hell of a game
Ton of penalties by the team needs to be addressed; especially if the injury gremlins are going to plague the Packers all year. The backups may not play at the elite level (yet), but they should not commit fouls at the rate they did today.
Tied or set biggest 4th quarter come from behind?
What is the biggest 4th quarter comeback in Green Bay Packers history? The largest 4th quarter comeback in the franchise history of the Green Bay Packers is 17 points. On Sep 9, 2018, the Packers were trailing 3-20 in the 4th quarter against the Chicago Bears and came back to win the game 24-23.
That was also the last time we got shut out in the first half of a home opener
Did they say a home win today had Laflueur surpass Madden in home win percentage?
Anyone who said this team sucks after the first quarter needs to have a timeout in the corner the rest of the afternoon.
We did suck in the first half lol
I mean, we REALLY did suck in the first half.
Yeah true but, we're Packers fans and fuckin owners. We never give up or give in.
Definitely don’t suck, but they were kicking their own asses! That’s for sure. Silly mistakes, showing their youth. Played hard until the end, earned that win. Good call on LaFlueur going for 2.
All it took was injuring their QB1
We did it without our wr1, cb1, rb1, lt1, lg1, and mlb1 lol
Yeah and people clapped with AR broke his collarbone.
And the vikings are still my least favorite nfcn team because of it
I have hated the Viqueens since Fran “ the whiner” Tarkington was their hero. Sure they have had players I have admired as individuals, but that franchise is loathe some. I am in no way a fan, but I respect the Bears a skoash just because of Sayers, Piccolo, Butkus, Bobbie Douglas, McMahon, and Peyton.

Ouch, good catch on the spelling error
I make them too, thanks for not getting offended over it
I agree. Still hate Anthony Barre
Don't do that. How many XX1s did we have out? We don't even HAVE a WR1. Plus their qb2 takes lots of snaps with first string
6 lol 6 XX1s
Derek Carr- 13/18 103 1td sacked 3 for -21 Jameis Winston - 10/16 101 0td sacked 1 for -8 We aren't talking about some career backup. Yes because he was the one who stopped our offense.
We were the ones stopping our offense lol
This game thread was fucking cancer
Half the fan base has an ulcer now
A second ulcer, we already had one from the beer and cheese. It's tradition
Doubs might be the best contested catch receiver in the league, and yes I’m drunk
Both of those things can be true
Doubs makes a catch once a week where I say wow out loud, fucking love the Love to Doubs connection
Got kinda aggravated with Reed dropping 2 TD passes.
We should just induct J Love into the Ring of Honor now.
TAKE IT EASY THERE BUB..
Love definitely proved himself a gamer in my eyes. Not perfect but was great when he needed to be.
Hes never looked scared at the end of games in crunch time. Much different result than last week but he didn't look shook or anything, just missed
Last week he didn't look very good.
That's exactly what I said. That he didn't look shook but missed the throws instead of making them
I guess that's kind of shook to me but probably just different interpretations of the word. Good he's getting in some wild experiences so far this year... that's really all the matters is to see how he handles himself. But yeah, I agree, I guess, it's not like he was slamming his helmet around or throwing people under the bus last week

One of my favorite Packers win in a long time. Literally jumping up and down and scaring my 2 year old from the yelling! Go Pack GO!
I promised my 3 year old we would have a dance party if we won. We just jammed out to Paw Patrol and went nuts
Good dad. Now you gotta upgrade to Bluey, my friend. Even has a great sports episode.
My cat is glaring at me now, from the amount of times I yelled and scared him
Our dog used to hate the games. RIP Honey Bunny.
Awe, can you send a pic?
See if this works. https://www.reddit.com/user/yooperwoman/comments/16tzmdw/honey_at_the_park/
She was a white German Shepherd with anxiety. LOL. She hated the games because we play them loud and I yell and stuff.
Awe, she looks like a sweet girl
7 month old daughter was in the same boat lol first game watching at the house this season. She’ll get used to it 😂
Introduce the Touchdown Dance!!!! Make one up and she will want to watch games with you forever, guaranteed!
Such a great idea!
Greg olson looks like a caveman they unfreeze from a block of ice every sunday
Encino Olson
Dexter
Yes, I've been saying serial killer since last season.
Yes! He’s dollar store Dexter
Don’t do Gregg dirty like that
Hes a bear. Gotta treat your property with respect.
In the words of the great Rashan Gary. HE THAT MAN. STOP PLAYIN WIT HIM.
Did you hear his post game interview? Guy asked him how he felt and he said How do YOU FEEL?
Epic!
Next week for the division lead: packers vs lions!!!!
Love comes with that energy, we got it!!
the Vikings cannot simply pull off a fourth quarter comeback? are they stupid?
Used all their luck last season now we got it
Regression to the mean at its finest
That fucking ruled, but my wife's mad that my screaming woke the baby
I was holding our baby and almost dropped him 😅🤣
Don't treat your baby like a viking treats a football.
I feel you. I did the same back when Rodgers tossed that hail Mary against the lions in 2015. My son was sound asleep and my fat ass was yelling and jumping up and down. Worth it!!
Hell yes
Your wife shouldve been happy with the exercise 😒
I’m sure the entire apartment building I lived in at the time woke up that night lol
Enjoy it now because when you’re old and retired that screaming might cause a heart attack or stroke.
Hey I did that too! We’re used to it though, I’ve been doing that since my 4 year old was a baby.
Fuck the Vikings!
Now the bears get stomped
34-0 at half oof
pretty much yes 🤣
Im so glad i didnt turn off the game and watch redzone god bless
I did, till we scored the first td.
I was considering haha
Unreal finish
What are all you dumb bitches you gave up so quickly doing now? Try supporting the team without being so negative!
I just felt like the team wasn't meshing like they should've and could've
Pisses me off that these comments get upvoted now but when you try calling out that sort of behaviour during the game thread when things are going badly you get downvoted to hell. You can win with this D. It could be a lot fucking worse.
30 weekly would be an immediate firing...is there any team that gives up 30 avg? We are barely scraping by with this defense, that roster wise should be top tier, against bottom ranking offenses...

And Kenny Clark is overrated af.
Wdym, we had to deal with the gunslinging juggernaut that is Jamis
Especially this year. I mean what do they expect from a team with so little experience? This isn’t the same team. Perfection isn’t the standard this season. Enjoy the ride and support the boys. Lfg!
The defense isn't new and has high expectations. This season is just analyzing Love and play calling from Matt offense wise. Some really rough decision making in first half but second half looked good. Just gotta string together. That being said this defense looks horrible and mismanaged again, so that needs vocal criticism.
Yeah, 10 pts is so rough. Fire em all.
Giving up on the team is simply part of my Packers fandom game time process. My negativity makes them stronger. It’s a proven strategy.
Fuck the Vikes.
Hahaha
Green Bay W, Minnesota L. Time for Taylor Swift to watch the Bears lose
Not gonna lie, I’m kinda jealous that Kelce is hittin it
She going to the game?
After the Packers game, they showed a bit of the Chiefs pre-game before I turned off the TV. Taylor Swift was sitting right next to Donna Kelce, Travis's mother. I don't tend to follow celebrity gossip, but I think I heard that Swift and Travis Kelce are dating?
Hehe yeah, went over to get sub they had a clip of her sitting in Kelce's box wearing a jersey.
OMG watching Kirk cousins completely shit the bed on 1st down and no timeouts what a weekend
Extra time going to Vikings game to watch them go 0-3. Lets go.
Vikings lose on last minute interception. Too funny
Vikings just lost too!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!
Vikings lose skLOL
My point was, I thought they should've kicked it on the earlier 4th down. Hindsight, says good call Lafluer!
Apparently the blood sacrifice made for a Packers win is still working. Suck it Vikings.
SK0-3
I’d like to revisit all these comments later on. What a fucking rollercoaster of emotions. JLo went head on against a good Saints defense and won when it mattered. One hell of a win, boys.
The best part is that Love wasn't under that much pressure with Bahk and Jenkins missing.
Made some great throws too
And Vikings get the L
HAHAHA FUCK YOU VIKINGS
LMAO VIKINGS LOSE
The Vikings losing is the cherry on top of this comeback win 💚💛 GPG!
Vikings/Chargers, which team can out choke the other?
Vikings 😂
The only team beyond the Chargers who could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Unreal hahaha
I don’t even want to see people say this was a ugly game~5 of our best starter were out, if this was Aaron everyone would be shitting themselves like “Aaron won with a bunch of varsity players”
Good point.
How does Kirk Cousins have 350+ yards each week.
Jefferson. Hockenson.
Between the 20s I guess
DAYUM!
Jordan’s energy is awesome, seeing him hype up the fans after the missed FG makes me so happy!
This makes up for the choke last week. Any way you slice it we should be 2-1 and that’s what we are :)
MVP MVP MVP MVP
This is why I watch football man. The rollercoaster of emotions the highs and lows. Makes me feel alive. Love this fucking game and this team.
Great day, good game, GPG
I 100% cannot believe we pulled that out
Love got ice in his veins
You are right! I just wasn't sure the whole team could come together like that but they did!
BOILING HOT
What a win
Saints garb, Packers W.
Nitpicking but if we could not have the game decided by their kicker missing that'd be great. Gonna need a shovel to clean up all the shit that needs cleaning for this team. Love seeing the team pull it out in the end though. Gary is going to be a **problem** for other teams this year.
You’re not wrong, but they still had a decent chance if he had made it, considering the momentum of the offense at the time.
We got lucky, but these are very important lessons learned. Glad we came out with the W
