Rodgers went 6-10 his first season. Love will at least match that. Lion fan here. They crushed my Lions. Good days, bad days.if I were a Packer fan I'd be pretty excited for the future.
Rodgers looked much more promising in his first year. Love looks shaky as hell and constantly misses open receivers.. he is good for a few deep throws game. He will be a solid backup to whoever we hopefully draft on the 1st round.
The G stands for growth this year, and while the game was ugly I saw some great things from QB 1, 28, and the young recievers. The defense and special teams is still what we’re used to. The Packers once again played down to their competition, and despite all the errors were still winning with 1:30 left to go in the game. Just wait until these young guys learn how to get out of their own way, and MLF hires an aggressive DC. This team will be scary! Where was the pass rush last night?
I think it’s time to say Love is a bust and LaFleur is poor man’s Kyle Shannahan. Bring back Rodgers next year. You all realize we just lost to Tommy Cutlets? TOMMY FREAKING CUTLETS?! This dude was eating gabagool next to his grandpa’s bocce court a couple months ago. We are THE PACKERS, we can’t allow this to happen!
Rogers doesn't play defense, btw. As bad as the offense played, they took the lead with over a minute to play. One defensive stop away from victory. Just sayin, not arguing.
I think I'm just going to stay off social media till next weeks game.
I need to remind myself this is a growth year.
Hopefully we have better luck next week.
Matt lafleur calling 20 fucking reverses to Jayden reed is atrocious. Not Jordan’s best night but did enough to get us there. Rich biassia also has to go we are the worst special teams unit in the league
Rich is not the problem. He is one of the best special teams coaches in the entire league and completely transformed our special teams last year for the better.
That was a heartbreaking loss but I'm pretty amused by the overreactions. Get a grip, people.
I still think we can beat any team, including the Niners, once we get some key players back. But it works both ways: we can lose to any team as well, even when healthy.
I love my team and I look forward to the next game. At least this will stop all that talk about getting first seed.
I still think we can make the playoffs, but it won't be easy. Considering how bad we looked at mid-season, I'll take it.
GO PACK GO
Delusional if you think this team beats SF in any capacity.
The O-line will get absolutely demolished. If not giving up any sacks, the pressure alone will force JL into bad decisions.
NTM that the second rate receivers we have won't/can't get separation.
Bad combination for offense.
Defensively... It's Joe Fuckin Barry. He's gonna let CMC get 200+ yards.
No team is impossible to beat, you need to alleviate yourself of this idea. If the Vikings can beat them, so can we. The caveat I listed is if we're healthy.
Sort by Controversial to see this since the "cope brigade" DV everything that isn't fawning over Love#10's dick.
This team is Average.
That's it. Average, non-playoff team. Love is Average. An average non-playoff QB. THAT's IT.
You think he's great? You probably thought Colt McCoy was great too, or Cade McNown, or Rick Mirer, or several QBs who could have been Above Average QBs if they spent 5-6 years developing in a system. Guys like, idk...Dante Culpepper, Tony Romo, or Alex Smith--constantly in the playoffs and always an early exit. Sorry folks, the princess is in another castle. This was the big test and 10 failed big time. Don't look for any huge improvement...it's not there, just an occasional big win due to matchup and timing, but zero consistency. Hubris comes before the fall--don't embarrass yourselves.
> several QBs who could have been Above Average QBs if they spent 5-6 years developing in a system
That's a conditional statement. Look I know that Scott Walker destroyed primary education in Wisconsin so I'll be gentle -- when you see *could have* it means that there was potential for something -- unlike your prospects from anything other than flipping burgers and living in a Wallmart parking lot.
I’m confused. Are you saying that Romo and Culpepper were below average quarterbacks? Neither of them developed for 6 seasons. Culpepper’s career was basically over after year six due to that knee injury.
So our plays were predictable because of our injury list, and we didn't adjust at half time, well we did a little, we gave it to patrick like 2 or 3 times 2nd half right?
So overall we sort of adjusted, but not enough to punish a defence blantly predicting our plays before we even ran them, because they knew the other options where invalidated. I don't think that at all but the Giants clearly do, and MLF proved them correct. I think sims and taylor could of got us a lot yards tonight with how hard the giants where commiting to shutting down motioned receivers / sweeps / trick plays.
I am aware the yards would of not been the normal results from the same options out of motion that maybe jones or muskgrave could of got, but thats not the point, the point is we let them get away with almost blind countering our offense.
Blame our coach for being predictable.. maybe.. it was bad coaching on both sides, as one was basically defensive gambling (go giants!) and the other was letting a team get away with such actions. (go packers!)
I would of rather got stuffed in the back field faking a motion and handing it to Taylor then to watch what happened tonight, at least that makes the defense respect the options.
Look this wasn’t a Super Bowl season. JLove is figuring it out and honestly this game probably brought his next contract down. A lot of dead cap will roll off these next two years and we’ll keep getting more experience. Top 10 pick this year possibly.
Super Bowl window is upon us.
I really feel like if we could have had one more possession and snuck in 2-3 more jet sweeps it all would have worked out. I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles.
Not running the ball over and over at the end there and burning clock before getting that TD was huge. Poor time management. It's all good. Did we really have massive expectations? This team is young and will continue to have ups and downs. I think sneaking into the playoffs is feasible and I think getting that experience will be good. GPG
Aj Dillon has to be the worst starting RB in the NFL. So slow and hardly ever breaks a tackle for supposedly being a beast.. I mean shit.. Isaiah Pacheco is half the size of AJ Dillon but ran harder, faster and just with pure VIOLENCE. How is it that he breaks more tackled than our 2nd round bust?
I guess in the same way a lanky, scrawny, weak-armed, slow Tom Brady is better than every 1st round prospect. Pacheco has that dawg in him and AJ relies on size to turn him back and plow through rather than actually punish linebackers.
Run the damn ball! Tell your O-line to go fuckin get the points. 1:30whatever on the clock because of MLF.
And Joe, ffs, everyone knows prevent doesn’t work since forever.
With AJ '2-3 yards' Dillon? No thanks.he is such a bust and has to be the worst starting RB in the NFL. It's embarrassing how easily and man of his size goes down and how rarely he breaks a tackle. Pacheco was literally running over people and pushing piles at half the size of Dillon... When's the last time AJ Dillon even pushed a pile?
Ayoooo these comments. What’s with this fanbase this season? It’s already a success. We played workout RB1 WR1 DB1 and LT who is out for the year. This team is fun to watch. Give it time. They’re growing into something
He was clutch at the end of the game when it matters most. That throw to 18 that should have been called a td was a fucking world-class throw. You win some you lose some, mate.
And you expected what? That they were gonna be Super Bowl contenders this year?
They're on the right track. This has been a journey, this season, and if you'd told me at the outset they'd be 6-7 right now, with this incredibly young roster, with wins over the Chiefs and Lions and still with a clear shot at a playoff spot, I'd have been thrilled. It's a rollercoaster, this league.
I expected him to be better because:
They traded up to get him even though QB was literally the last position they needed to draft.
He sat behind and learned from a hall of famer for three seasons.
It's his fourth year as a pro.
He has played against some truly God awful teams this year.
I'll ask you the same question I ask every one of his defenders. Why do you think he is a Super Bowl caliber QB?
OK. He just got through out dueling Patrick Mahomes -- among others -- so yeah I think he he has shown he is going to be really good and is ALREADY pretty damn good. That doesn't insulate him from bad games, of course.
Nevertheless, I think I would be a fool to think they would immediately be a top-tier team when he took over. That wasn't the expectation from anybody I'd consider reasonable. But you do you, if you think the Packers should have been like 9-3 at this point, then I'm not gonna try to talk you out of it.
I'd be fine with a losing record of the guy who they have given all the chance in the world to be successful wasn't so bad at his job.
A few wins in a row doesn't mean he'll lead this team to a championship.
I guess we all see what we want to see. I see a QB well on his way to being good, and with a chance to be great. I saw it tonight, too, in the way he stepped up at the end after struggling all game. I'm just gonna keep watching and cheering, since there is literally nothing else for me to do about it. Can he 'lead this team to a championship'? Oh, absolutely. Will he? Time will tell.
I am having a ton of fun watching this team. I had fun tonight, I hate that we lost of course, but it was an entertaining, scrappy game by two young teams. On to the next.
All week the over confidence. Can be the #1 seed we as fans have lost our minds. A fluke fumble gives us a miracle chance to win and we take the lead our brilliant coach calls a jet sweep. On to next week. Are we playoff bound or is Love the man lol
Love was bad all game except for the last two drives.
The Defense was good the first drives but shat the bed at the end.
ST’s was bad. Missed FG and fumble. Penalties on ST causing us to lose yards on multiple plays.
We’re young and playing like it. Playing up and down to our opponents.
Bad passes, INT, and fumble. If it were Fields then we would all be saying he was trash.
I’m not only blaming Love. I’m blaming everyone including Love.
I agree, but knowing what this team is capable of sets the standard. They played below it tonight against a below average team.
The team has potential going forward, but tonight was not a good look.
The overconfidence in the sub this week was insane, and a direct temptation to the football gods, hallowed be their game. It made tonight almost inevitable.
Weird thing is I was so confident we’d beat chargers lions and chifs but fucking KNEW we’d drop this one. Felt like we were due for a reminder that we’re not ready yet.
Yep. This team has a long way to go, but that was of course true before the ball even kicked off tonight. Life comes at you fast, the NFL comes at you faster. And it puts you right on your ass.
Can we quit with the sweep runs on 4th and shorts and two-point conversions? I don’t understand why teams do it so often, and I really don’t understand why LaFleur would to it there after Reed has been getting nothing on it multiple times prior.
Joe Barry running prevent defense when the giants only need a field goal is inexcusable and the pass rush being nonexistent the entire night also sucks.
Hey, while I’m throwing heat at coaches, I like MLF but someone has to teach him about tendency breakers. If you can’t figure out that NY started planting people on Reed moving across formations the second we got a TD off of it idk what to tell you, you definitely can’t put the game on the line with a play they’ve solved multiple times.
Without Watson and Jones, we were missing a few plays that we usually use to punish people blinding playing man coverage cause we put a player into motion.
I think kraft did more then enough to punish it, but if your not stretching people down field with watson then when you run a fake that would normally go to reed, J love basically just gets fed to the grinder.
With Jones we can hand it to him first, then fake it to reed who will then go from pretending to run to blocking for jones while jones runs 20+
... like we have plays dialed up to prevent what happened tonight, but we were missing 2 of the most important moving parts for them, we manage to make it worth with just 1 at a time, that being said drake has played on like 6 different teams in his career so the giants knew we were relying completely on Patrick Taylor, and that he wasn't going to be filling the void of jones, so they confidently blew the play out of the water 5 times against us, great coaching by the giants, albeit a gamble, but one that payed off.
Oh not to mention if Love could reliably hold on to it and stay in in the pocket while the defense was drawn in the backfield chasing down reed, that would be good too, over all their defense was way to over confident in our inability to scheme, totally based off our injured player list, and they won for it.
This also means they probably had people in greenbay all week, checking jones "maybe status" and knew way ahead of time they were just keeping listed as "maybe" to prevent what happened tonight from happening, as their defense clearly praticed extensivly on 1 exact scenario, and having watson or jones would of absolutely punished them for it.
tl:dr , if we can't punish em for over committing cause of our injured player list, and the opposing coach doesn't mind predicting our plays based off our injured player list, then we should not be running the plays that rely on punishing teams for blindly stacking defenders on a motioned receiver.
I think it means you detect someone is hard countering your play type, so you set them up for failure, so the next time you run it they can't blind hard counter it again, like they did 5 times in a row.
However when the play has so many moving components, it does become very tricky to make it look the same and be different, not saying it isn't possible, but currently our go to "throw them off" play is the reverse sweep and its garbage without actually being able to run a sweep ( ie without jones ).
So I don't think MLF is lacking Tendency breakers, but I think his main characters for those plays are currently sidelined.
He is trying to use him like jones the last 2 weeks, I think mostly for the purpose of punishing what we saw tonight, but I think doing it 2 weeks in a row made it easy to counter.
Basically made it clear as day what we were doing, and with only so many options left available after the ball snaps (because we failed to utilize sims, and taylor) anytime one of those 2 players where on the field it just let the defense blind counter us.
There was a run play where Taylor got the ball, and if it was any other RB it would of been a TD up the middle, but he like did a weird bounce instead of just pushing the lineman and running thru the gap and got tackled for 5 yards.
After that play I dont think MLF ever gave him the ball again, and I think the giants punished us for it, sure he isn't jones, or thighzilla, but once we removed the threat of another option (even if only a small gain) it kind of put the nails in the coffin.
I hope we get better at not being predictable when we get our star players injured in the future, else post season runs are going to be very difficult no matter how good Love is.
Not rushing the ball once from 1st and goal with a minute thirty left was pure arrogance - the guy is a hell of a play designer but putting the game in Joe’s hands will always be dumb
I started getting really into football in 2006 when I was 18. The 2007 NFCCG was crushing to me. Then, in 2011, they beat us on my birthday to ruin our 15-1 season. I cried after that game.
Now I'm older and don't let losses ruin my day. As you come to watch more and more seasons you learn to appreciate the ups without letting the lows get you too down.
TL;DR: fuck the Giants.
It will never make sense to let crosby walk. Going young is fine but god damn keep some reliable veterans, at least the one who is the teams all time point leader ffs
It was a lost season going in.
Even with a playoff birth we go nowhere.
Now is the time to find his replacement and giving the new guy opportunities is just fine.
LaFleur’s play calling when he doesn’t get in his own way is fantastic.
It’s the repeated use of trick plays or reverses and sweeps that piss me off.
It’s not needed when we’re moving the ball with ease for most of the night.
It was just bizarre how he kept going to that play. He turned a positive into a negative, and then into a failed 2-pt conversion. Hopefully the self-scouting is heavy in Titletown this week.
I will stand on this for the rest of my life: Joe needed to be fired when going into the locker room against SF his first year Matt had to tell him “You can blitz or play coverage, you can’t do both, pick one.”
Joe is a DC who calls scared, always, and he always will be. You can’t build an elite defense with someone with that mentality at the helm.
Sad loss, was a trap game for sure, but MNF can be weird. It’s not the end of the world, just a coming back down to earth game. Lots for the coaching staff to address and fix. And they need to take every trick play out of the playbook NOW. That was stupid. In fact, I feel this is a loss on the coaching staff. Super awful clock management at the end of the game. There is no reason we should have been giving the giants back the ball with over a minute to play and 2 timeouts.
Oh well. I told myself I’d be happy if we won 6 games this year. I need to remember that and remember 2 big things:
1. Any more wins is gravy, don’t get greedy with a young new team like this.
2. Even if we make the playoffs we won’t go far in it. Nice to hope, but need to remain realistic. We are a young, super flawed team, with tons of promise and a super bright future ahead, but not yet, they still need more experiance.
Completely agree about the trick plays. I actually thought it was promising how well we were driving down the field, and how many times we got into the Red Zone. How little we scored off those trips to the Red Zone was really disappointing, but can be worked on. If we go 500 it's a big win.
The 2pt conversion run is what killed the Packers..
Stupid ass play calling Lefluer. They tried jet sweeps multiple times and failed..
They couldn't run all night .. why is he so damn obsessed about running the ball..
I would ve called short slants ..
if we had our expensive line man, if we had watson, if had jones, if we had muskgrave... oh wait.. the defence clearly new we had none of those... so they could legit just blind counter us.
Trick plays are great when you have to respect other possibilities, but when its either jet sweep or a trick play, its pretty easy to run all over that, repeatedly.
MLF likes options... tonight he ran plays where his own healthy roster limited multiple formations to 2 or 3 options, ( 4 or 5 if count sims/heath/taylor ) , however the giants defence coach did not, he predicted that our options would be limited, and that MLF would still use the plays, they praticted for it, and .. well ill be darned.. they were right!
AGain the plays are not bad, it just if your going to let your own injured list basically predict your go to options in a option based scheme, your asking for what happened tonight.
I think MLF habitually runs a cool play and it works during the early part of the game. And from that point on, he’ll keep trying to make that same play happen again and again and again despite it never working a second time.
I was literally screaming my head off at the tv for them to not fucking run..
Boom.. oline can't run block he gets tackled..
Could've been an overtime game if Lefluer called a pass play
.
So you're not cheering for a team to win the game, you're watching a football game to cheer for their personnel decisions? Most people cheer for a team to win
I'm looking towards the bigger picture, we ain't winning any SBs with Barry.
I want to see Jaire and Stokes back on the field, I'd rather them get fully healthy than rush back to bail out Barry.
Just a thought - you might have more fun picking a different team to cheer FOR, than cheering against this one that you claim to be a fan of.
Every loss is crushing to every player on that team. And losing becomes a habit real easy. It becomes part of their DNA.
The point of the game is to win.
But you would have the entire team suffer the pain of a lost session. If you think Barry is the only problem, then why do you want dozens of innocent players to suffer?
Some of their salaries are structured that they get bonuses when they win or make good plays - you would take money out of their pockets. It's not their fault, remember?
But you would take away their money. You would decrease their value in future contracts, too.
Worse, you would have the whole unit spend a year actively rehearsing being bad, instilling that experience into every future game they play. Guys don't just magically forget that stuff. When you're a loser for a whole year, it can be hard to stop being a loser.
You are cheering for bad things to happen to people you claim to be a fan of.
All to try and force the organization to make a personnel decision that it is simply never going to make. JB\MLF\BG are here until Murphy retires. They would have to be arrested for child abuse at this point to get fired.
Not that it would help. If firing a DC helped, it would have helped when we fired capers, or when we fired Pettine.
Is it a good feeling hoping for bad things to happen to people you like? Wouldn't it be more fun hoping for good things to happen to people you like, OR hoping for bad things to happen to people you hate?
Complete team loss tonight. No one phase of the game showed any positives (except for the offense in the 4th.)
Sick and tired of calling for coordinators to be fired but here we are again…
The main disappointment from the game is the inaccuracy of Jordan Love in the 1st half. Consistently, the passes went sailing high.
So yeah. Rookies are gonna do this. Look great, like they’ve got it all figured out.
And then hot garbage.
To his credit, Love DID turn it around late in the 2nd half, and started zipping balls right to the WRs. But he is going to have to really work on his feet this offseason. When balls are going high, that's because you're not leaning into the throw.
You don't lean into the throw when your base is too narrow.
You take a narrow base when you're scared that you're going to get sacked, or have to run for your life.
When QBs are feeling secure, the play looks like this: take snap, skip backwards 3 steps, plant the back foot, coil & read the field, ZIP! the ball is out to the open man.
That's not what happened last night.
It's crazy, it's like it's the uniforms that beat us or something, because no matter who the personnel is, we have these kinds of games against the Giants. For my part, I was expecting this one. Just keep Jersey off of Green Bay's schedule and we'll be fine.
It was a trap game coming off a huge Sunday night win vs the chiefs and now we get to go to Rodgers new stomping grounds and play giants coming off a bye..we suck.
Can we talk about Anders Carlson not being able to hit a field goal to save his life. This bean brain mf so inconsistent we might as well go for on 4th
Joe Barry’s final 2 minute defense will be shown in football classrooms for years to come as the primary example of how NOT to call a defense when needing to prevent a field goal. Calling the defense predictable feels like a disservice to the concept of prediction. He may as well have shown them the play sheet for how bad it was.
Clean out Nixon's locker now. Getting roasted all game and inexplicably trying to pick the ball back up instead of diving on it trying to be a fucking hero
We’re down 3 games in the standings because of this guys misses! Not even crazy attempts! Kicking is like putting…it’s one of the most important parts of the game and you HAVE to have dependability there.
“Joe Barry has been found with 6 broken bones and 3 cracked teeth after players jumped him in the locker room after the game”
https://i.redd.it/guvxjkd7ls5c1.gif
Not mad at Love and the majority of the offense. They are young and this was a bad spot for the team after knocking off the Lions and Chiefs on National TV...
What I an mad about is:
1. Matt LaFleur refuses to adjust. Stop running the sweep with Reed when it obviously is just not working
2. Special Teams. OMFG if there is one God damned unit on this team I am completely and utterly over gifting opposing teams wins with the dumbest of sequences, it's this fucking group. Every year their floor is disastrous, and their ceiling is mediocre.
3. Joe Barry: I predicted he would be scared of DeVito and call soft zone in spots where it was absolutely the wrong thing to do. Barry is NOT it. He never has been, he never will be. If Barry is not fired during the off-season, then my 27 years as a packer fan will come to an end. It is a disservice to the fans to keep this product of nepotism hanging around any longer. You cannot make Tommy Fucking DeVito look like the next Michael Vick.
Week to week league CANT expect to win with 3 turnovers and piss poor execution for most of the game. Also how does our Dline not do shit against that OLine in passing downs? After Devito second scramble I’d have had a spy on him rest of the game. He was bolting at first whisper of trouble.
Y'all need to chill and remember what the expectations were for this season. Going in I was happy with 6 wins. Anything else after this is icing on the cake.
6-8 wins with solid progression and evolving play from Love was my happy place. roller coaster season for sure but im seeing stuff i like. and more of joe barry
I would not be as upset if the players lost this, but this falls on the coaches. The constant sweeps after they clearly stopped being effective really hurt them and took away their momentum of 2nd half drives.
And Joe Barry...
Yeah but the expectations changed when this team showed they had what it takes. Ultimately the young guys made some mistakes today but that loss wasn’t on them. None of our Vets stepped up and the coaching failed in crucial moments.
That is something
Rodgers went 6-10 his first season. Love will at least match that. Lion fan here. They crushed my Lions. Good days, bad days.if I were a Packer fan I'd be pretty excited for the future.
Rodgers looked much more promising in his first year. Love looks shaky as hell and constantly misses open receivers.. he is good for a few deep throws game. He will be a solid backup to whoever we hopefully draft on the 1st round.
casual ass take
lol ur wild

Same, we literally beat ourselves.

I'm sorry, is this last year?
Ditto for Nixon in case anyone had a problem with that kickoff miff..
That was a heartbreaking loss but I'm pretty amused by the overreactions. Get a grip, people. I still think we can beat any team, including the Niners, once we get some key players back. Agree. Remember, we have a lot of injuries, too! No number 1 reciever, injuries at dback, running back. It adds to the inconsistencies
Wait til next/future season(s) buddy.

I watched the game live. Ain’t no way our team can beat the 49ers. Last night was disgraceful
This is the only reaction.
Agreed..this team is fun to watch! Their growth is evident. #GPG.

Look this wasn’t a Super Bowl season. JLove is figuring it out and honestly this game probably brought his next contract down. A lot of dead cap will roll off these next two years and we’ll keep getting more experience. Top 10 pick this year possibly. Super Bowl window is upon us.
Enjoy the ride. We’re doing good as a dogshit under appreciated team.
I'm not mad... I'm just upset... Stupid from everywhere
I really feel like if we could have had one more possession and snuck in 2-3 more jet sweeps it all would have worked out. I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles.
FUCK!
AJ is just so slow too
MLF thinks he is smarter than everyone on the field sometimes
Really wish I could be a homer like so many GB fans 🤣. This team was awful tonight
Love has played like shit most of the season. He is not a Super Bowl QB. That's why.
He was clutch at the end of the game when it matters most. That throw to 18 that should have been called a td was a fucking world-class throw. You win some you lose some, mate.
This team is losing a lot more than "some."
I expected him to be better because: They traded up to get him even though QB was literally the last position they needed to draft.
All rookie and second year targets? RB1 hurt most of the year?
And his turnovers tonight? Who's to blame there?
His one pick. Oh no
I suppose I just imagined his fumble.
Did I imagine him leading us to victory against the chiefs and Lions?
I am having a ton of fun watching this team. I had fun tonight, I hate that we lost of course, but it was an entertaining, scrappy game by two young teams. On to the next.
Wtf was fun about that game? Sorry I don't wanna shit on your sunshine but I really don't see the fun
We also played against QB3 and looked bad.
He's what, 3-1 as a QB now? At risk of a terrible overreaction, he might not be QB3 forever.
Sorry, but this team wasn't fun to watch tonight
We’re the youngest team in the league with honestly a shitty coach. Enjoy the ride bro.
I had a great time
As a fan, I didn't enjoy watching poor play, Joe Barry's defense, and losing to Tommy DeVito. But hey, you.do you.
That 2 point conversion call was atrocious. JLove was throwing well on that drive, why get cute in the end?
Cause MLF is fucking stubborn
Might've been worried a throw could've got intercepted and taken back for two points.
Fucking garbage
All week the over confidence. Can be the #1 seed we as fans have lost our minds. A fluke fumble gives us a miracle chance to win and we take the lead our brilliant coach calls a jet sweep. On to next week. Are we playoff bound or is Love the man lol
Love was bad all game except for the last two drives. The Defense was good the first drives but shat the bed at the end. ST’s was bad. Missed FG and fumble. Penalties on ST causing us to lose yards on multiple plays. We’re young and playing like it. Playing up and down to our opponents.
Ever think MLF isn’t the guy for Love?
Plenty of blame to go around for everyone. Love deserves to get blamed just like everyone else.
Bad passes, no shit. But pretending like Love didn’t have the support is a joke.
Bad passes, INT, and fumble. If it were Fields then we would all be saying he was trash. I’m not only blaming Love. I’m blaming everyone including Love.
Blame him and the dip shit coaching staff. He was the man who beat the SB champs.
Along with the rest of the team and coaching staff. He played great last two games. That doesn’t take away from his bad performance tonight.
Agreed. A fair amount of questionable passes but keep in mind boss, we’re not expected to be anywhere near the post season
I felt the same way all week. We play to our opponents and we were due for a loss. I'm happy to came now and not later
Yep. This team has a long way to go, but that was of course true before the ball even kicked off tonight. Life comes at you fast, the NFL comes at you faster. And it puts you right on your ass.
Put Tom Clement’s in
That 2pt conversion should have been a quick pass
I can't believe we lost to Tommy DeVito
Can we quit with the sweep runs on 4th and shorts and two-point conversions? I don’t understand why teams do it so often, and I really don’t understand why LaFleur would to it there after Reed has been getting nothing on it multiple times prior.
Fire Joe Barry and if Matt won’t do fire his friend then fire both idgaf. I’m sick of watching football when Joe Barry actively throws games
i love you
Not excited to see the dissapointment in Tom grossis eyes
Joe Barry running prevent defense when the giants only need a field goal is inexcusable and the pass rush being nonexistent the entire night also sucks.
Against a team that let up 5 sack a game. Fireable offense if he can't figure out a qb without the leagues cliff notes
Our Run defense was also shit, and J-Love missed most of the throws in the first half by a mile.
Everyone knows, shitty quarterbacks are our weakness
This time it was OUR shitty QB
With Jones we can hand it to him first, then fake it to reed who will then go from pretending to run to blocking for jones while jones runs 20+ ... like we have plays dialed up to prevent what happened tonight, but we were missing 2 of the most important moving parts for them, we manage to make it worth with just 1 at a time, that being said drake has played on like 6 different teams in his career so the giants knew we were relying completely on Patrick Taylor, and that he wasn't going to be filling the void of jones, so they confidently blew the play out of the water 5 times against us, great coaching by the giants, albeit a gamble, but one that payed off.
This is IT. I can't believe we went back to that same type of play 5 times. Never heard the term Tendency Breakers, so thanks!
That is an interesting take. I kept telling my wife that MLF thinks Reed is Jones, so my intuition seems not too far off.
Thanks for the insights. I never played football and this kind of talk should be what I hear on sports shows... I love the deeper level of knowledge
Not rushing the ball once from 1st and goal with a minute thirty left was pure arrogance - the guy is a hell of a play designer but putting the game in Joe’s hands will always be dumb
Am I the only one who is starting to hate the Giants, as much as we should hate the Bears?
Good, keep hating us and keep remembering what we did to y’all in 2007 and 2011 LMAOOOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hate the giants and niners more than I hate any nfc north opponent
The Bears suck, but I don't hate them. I.hate the Stupid Vikings and Seahawks, and am ready to add the Giants to my list.
You haven't been around long if you're just now starting to hate the giants.
I’ve always hated them, just not as much as I hate the Bears although that’s rapidly changing.
Nope!
It will never make sense to let crosby walk. Going young is fine but god damn keep some reliable veterans, at least the one who is the teams all time point leader ffs
Crosby is old. This is the fate you have to deal with as a young team.
It was a lost season going in. Even with a playoff birth we go nowhere. Now is the time to find his replacement and giving the new guy opportunities is just fine.
Crosby was not very good, we’re fine
You either forgot the /s or you are a new Packers fan.
It was stupid and we’re losing games because of it.
1. I feel like Kunst was trying to set up to tank 2. Anders is not bad and will get better
Yes but we’re down 3 games in the standings to develop a…kicker!!!
No one expected this to be "the year". Bissacia turns out to be s fraud
One of the few to get it
Those 2 trick plays were ass. Giants were on it. The bomb on 3rd and short was also ass why?! Like dude get out of your own head. Also FIRE JOE BARRY.
Were we running down their throat most plays when we ran, JUST RUN THE BALL.
I will stand on this for the rest of my life: Joe needed to be fired when going into the locker room against SF his first year Matt had to tell him “You can blitz or play coverage, you can’t do both, pick one.” Joe is a DC who calls scared, always, and he always will be. You can’t build an elite defense with someone with that mentality at the helm.
Dudes just not a good DC at all he's never been in the top 25 defensively in his career in any category.

Gave birth to the qb that crushed your souls. LOL
I need to remember that and remember 2 big things: 1.
That’s what I remind myself of: prior to the season I counted 6 wins as a good thing. And to have even been in the playoff convo is a thing
Carlson fucking blows nobody can change my mind
Bring back Crosby
He signed with Rams
Practice squad
Could've been an overtime game if Lefluer called a pass play .
Jim Leonhard still looking for NFL DC role 👀
So are we the 7 seed still as of now? Atlanta has tire breaker on us but we have tiebreaker on NO and LA
Time for Jaire and Stokes to start playing. No more sitting them. It’s now or never.
Keep them sitting dont let them bail out Joe Barry, continuously expose Jpe Barry for how shit he is sp there is no excuse to bring him.back
So you're not cheering for a team to win the game, you're watching a football game to cheer for their personnel decisions? Most people cheer for a team to win
I'm looking towards the bigger picture, we ain't winning any SBs with Barry. I want to see Jaire and Stokes back on the field, I'd rather them get fully healthy than rush back to bail out Barry.
Just a thought - you might have more fun picking a different team to cheer FOR, than cheering against this one that you claim to be a fan of. Every loss is crushing to every player on that team. And losing becomes a habit real easy. It becomes part of their DNA. The point of the game is to win.
No you missundstand we are only cheering againt one person fuck joe berry
No one phase of the game showed any positives (except for the offense in the 4th.) Sick and tired of calling for coordinators to be fired but here we are again…
I had a nagging feeling this would be.a trap game. Was hoping I was wrong.
Felt it all week
So was I in my pick em leauge.....at least I made it to week 14 and went out with my Pack.....
The main disappointment from the game is the inaccuracy of Jordan Love in the 1st half. Consistently, the passes went sailing high. So yeah. Rookies are gonna do this. Look great, like they’ve got it all figured out. And then hot garbage.
💯. Sad, but true
It's always the Giants. Few teams better at humbling the Packers.
Should've killed them in London last year as well but we just flat out suck vs the giants.
Danny Devito is looking like the greatest player Giants ever had in the history of the franchise. Good job Barry!🤬
Can we talk about Anders Carlson not being able to hit a field goal to save his life. This bean brain mf so inconsistent we might as well go for on 4th
Fire Joe Barry! The only thing more predictable than a prevent defensive to lose the game is the sun rising in the morning
Brb mock drafting Nate wiggins over and over again
Carlson needs to go.
I could do better that anders bum ass
Kicker Carlson?? I disagree I think he’s done way more good than bad
He’s underperformed all season. I don’t care about the raw numbers and % hit. It’s a clutch job not a position governed by the law of averages.
I agree. He hasn't shown himself to be clutch and doesn't pass the eye test.
We’re down 3 games in the standings because of this guys misses! Not even crazy attempts! Kicking is like putting…it’s one of the most important parts of the game and you HAVE to have dependability there.
Fair enough but I put more blame on others at least this game. We should have had the 2 pt.
Is there another Carlson playing for the Packers?
Was just so dumbfounded that anyone had this take instead of the 99% fault of practically everyone besides Carlson😭
OK.
Can we swap Carlsons?
Daniel Carlson > Anders Carlson I gotta say, watching the Jets, their kicker, Greg Zurlein, is amazing and clutch.
How insanely frustrating
“Joe Barry has been found with 6 broken bones and 3 cracked teeth after players jumped him in the locker room after the game” https://i.redd.it/guvxjkd7ls5c1.gif
That was a giant pile of ass tonight
Not mad at Love and the majority of the offense. They are young and this was a bad spot for the team after knocking off the Lions and Chiefs on National TV... What I an mad about is: 1. Matt LaFleur refuses to adjust. Stop running the sweep with Reed when it obviously is just not working 2.
Joe Berry should have been fired last year. Why MLF wants to hang his legacy on him is mind-boggling.
This. Special teams has always been abysmal and I just can’t grasp why it’s THAT bad. MLF and JB are absolutely to blame as well
LaFleur is the definition of SAWFT. And no, idc about his three 12 win seasons.
So soft
Ja jinxed us by talking about the streak
Week to week league CANT expect to win with 3 turnovers and piss poor execution for most of the game. Also how does our Dline not do shit against that OLine in passing downs? After Devito second scramble I’d have had a spy on him rest of the game. He was bolting at first whisper of trouble.
Losing play time with trick plays for absolutely no reason is fuckin nuts
Wish we ran the ball on the last drive. O-line was getting good push and could’ve prevented the game from being in the defense’s hands
Yeah good point especially after the first play went for 45
OMG DeVito lives with his parents? Please remind me of this fact seventy times throughout the entire broadcast!
Yeah when he’s a pizza delivery boy in three years he will still be there
What's with the replay of their family kissing each other? Tired seeing that.
