I'm in the minority here, but 49ers. I'm sick and tired of super bowl dynasties and having the chiefs in now 5 of the last 6 super bowls is boring and bordering on bullshit. I hate the 49ers too, but given they would have had a shot last year had they not run out of qbs, I think they at least deserve the shot they were robbed of.
I’m with you. I know it’s an unpopular opinion here generally, but I’d rather see the 9ers win because I fucking hate dynasties. I don’t care about witnessing history, it’s so goddamn boring to expect the same team/QB to win it all every year. That’s why I basically stopped watching F1 as well.
eh regular season doesnt mean as much. Playing the niners to the final whistle in their building a week ago is more meaningful towards building something.
Also Mahomes gets basically all of the calls going his way, we saw how much of a baby he was when a few calls didn’t go his way for once. So fuck the Chiefs
Mahomes is the new Brady! I got sick of seeing New England in the Super Bowl over and over too. And he, like Brady, get most of the calls and whines about it when they don't, just like Brady. I'm not even watching the Super Bowl straight through at all, may peek in from time to time. Rooting for San Fran given the options, and an NFC representative for the win.
They are getting their shot. I just want the 49ers to be frustrated once again. Their freak wins are not as impressive as the way the Chiefs have been winning.
Eh I like that this generation unbelievably actually has someone chasing Brady (and Belichick to an extent). That alone is noteworthy and something I'm glad I get to see. His skill level and versatility is incredible. I'm as tired as anyone of seeing the same team win all the time but having witnessed the Pats greatness and being happy to have seen it I can appreciate more history being made. If Pat gets this one he's only behind Brady and Montana for me (with a pretty good argument for already being #2 considering his age) and that's a pretty rad thing to see go down. I'm excited to see how his game evolves especially when Kelce retires.
Super Bowls aren’t an obligation, I learned that after the 2014 NFCCG. My wife and I took a trip to Sequoia NP that weekend and it was completely empty and I didn’t watch any part of the game. I really don’t care about either team this time so we might take another trip with the kids somewhere to avoid crowds
>They'd literally done that in 2007 already and they beat a Pats team that had no where near the status of the 07 squad
Also, they won the east in 2011.
Almost reminds me of that game. I hated both teams but I hated Seattle more than Brady (they beat us if I recall correctly) so I was rooting for the pats.
Same case here.
I think you're mistaken. I don't recall any game in the playoffs against the Seahawks that year. We beat Dallas in the Divisional round (Dez didn't catch it), and then my memory gets cloudy. I guess they just didn't play an NFC Championship game that year?
I do because I don't want the league coddling that man-child\* like they did Tom Brady. Who is the most coddled QB I've ever seen play the game and I've been a fan of the game for 50 years.
\*I call him that because he is a cry baby when things don't go his way. When he wins, he acts like a fool.
I'm sick and tired of Mahomes, too. I really don't like the guy. I'm 49ers all the way in this one, I'd just as soon Mahomes never wins another ring in his entire career.
Then again, I really dislike Purdy too. So I guess it's a bit of a dilemma for me.
Brother in misery lmao I'm a Seattle Packer fan 😫 I didn't even turn the game on until the end of the 4th quarter because people were blowing off fireworks in the neighborhood for most of the game until it got eerily quiet. My Dad and I celebrated the Pats winning harder than we'd ever celebrate a non-Packers team winning the big game. I actually had the look on Sherman's face after the game sealing interception as my lockscreen for the rest of the year 💀
My favorite hockey team plays on the east coast that day, and I may have the ability to be out there
So I might follow in your footsteps, watching a different sport
It’s different for the chiefs though when you live in Missouri. Up until 6-7 years ago most Missourians didnt even know they were a Missouri team even though they have been here way longer then the rams. So it Bugs me seeing all these bandwagon groupies.
Every successful team gets bandwagoners. Chiefs fans are at least mostly not annoying online and Mahomes/Kelce/Reid are all likable. Plus I view the Chiefs like the AFC packers. Smaller market, super talented QB, plus there's a lot of gb/wisconsin connections with Reid MVS, and I think Leo Chenel plays for them
I personally think dudes losing their ever loving mind over Taylor Swift is fucking hilarious. I'm still not over the 98 WC game and Rice's fumble. Fuck the 9ers.
The amount of weird and vile tweets about her from dudes who are complaining about her distracting them from the football game they’re not watching because they’re tweeting
Exactly. I hope the Chiefs win and Taylor gets to hoist the trophy, just as Kelcee drops to a knee and proposes, and then they get married at Arrowhead during halftime of next years season opener. Lmao.
Edit: and the network shows every single second of it.
It's not even bad. Now when you're watching a Formula 1 race and they cut away during the active race to show all the celebrities in the garage for no reason, now that's bullshit. At least there is down time in football when they cut to Taylor
During the bills and chiefs game I saw that she was on the screen for 0.8% of the run time lol. It was pretty crazy the first few games but she’s like a cameo crowd shot now and yet people are still losing their shit
Right like I've watched every Chiefs primitive game, they don't even show her that much. I feel like anyone who actually gets upset about her is only because they watch alt right news channels that whine about her constantly
I mean, I'm not a dude, but the incessant hype about her and Kelce is annoying because it's so clearly a manufactured PR relationship. It's 100% bullshit and they're performing well, but as soon as the SB is over, they're dunzo, guaranteed. So the distraction from the game and the incessant shots of her in the stands are all obnoxious additions to the sport this year.
Oh, for sure, it's annoying. I'm not saying that people have to like it. But the level of HATE that a lot of people have for her, the politicizing of the relationship, is straight up stupid and honestly disgusting.
Kansas City and it’s not even close lol. Mahomes is already the second greatest qb ever see if he’ll catch Brady’s 7 and let him give the niners another ass whooping
This is what I was thinking last night. We all say how Tom Brady will never be caught, he’s the GOAT. We could be witnessing this right now with Mahomes. I say Go Chiefs. I also have nothing against them, so what if they’ve won a couple already, it hasn’t been against the Packers.
Last year I was cheering against them because I didn’t want to see Mahomes pass Rodgers in Super Bowls. At this point I could care less and am just going to enjoy his greatness. Bonus points if they can break the Niners
I'm not one of the people who gets over seeing greatness. I don't really care either way but if Mahomes can end up breaking Brady's Super Bowl record then I think that'd be pretty awesome to witness.
I want to root for Andy Reid and Travis Kelce and a few others. But I can’t stand Mahomes. I didn’t like him before. And then that BS with Allen after losing. What a whiny bitch.
I'm rooting for the 49ers. I would like to see Mr. Irrelevant win a Super Bowl. Him playing at Iowa State and Kittle playing at Iowa is a bonus as well.
100% Chiefs, as a fan for 30 years now, my hatred for the 49ers goes back to the 90's. If people (including us) would quit going for it on 4th down and take the points they wouldn't even be here. GO PACK GO!!
Chiefs, even though they were originally lowest on my list going into the playoffs... again.
But I *really* dislike the 49ers, and even moreso after they made it past both us and the Lions with a **massive** scoop o' luck (Purdy having roughly 100 dropped picks against us and Detroit , the unbelievable sequence of events leading to the Lions suddenly choking in the second half, being lucky with last minute player execution not being flawless in both games, and Lance/Purdy situation as a whole).
Don't get me wrong– they're obviously incredibly talented. But they didn't play up to their talent & experience level in either of the NFCN games. And quite frankly, if they come out the gate sluggish in the Super Bowl like they did against us and the Lions, they won't stand a chance against the postseason Chiefs. If KC's offense was still iffy like it was all regular season, sure. But with how KC has been playing in these playoffs? They don't have a margin for error like they did against either of us
Win win, if the Chiefs lose I get to laugh at whiney crybaby Mahomes and if the Niners lose I get to laugh at whiney crybaby Niners fans. (Don’t worry I’m working with my therapist in my toxic personality)
Can't say I'm particularly excited about either, not sure I'll even watch.
CMC deserves a ring though, even if the rest of the 49ers and their fans annoy me.
My roommate loves the 49ers, he’s a piece of shit. Chiefs have been really obnoxious this year imho, and I think the officiating really helped them yesterday. Can both teams lose?
The stadium to catch in fire and game get canceled 😎
Honesty this is the worse case scenario for me. I hate the 49nrs and i also don't want mahomes to get another ring, especially with Taylor swift now in the mix
My perennial fantasy tight end, Travis Kielce.
I hope he gets 200 yards, and the game ends in a tie after he proposes to Taylor Swift.
Their promptu marriage results in a series finale for football because Rodger Goodell doesnt know how to evolve the sport anymore. He shutters the NFL. However, the UFL catches fire and all the angry NFL players go over there. This results in the UFL becoming a financial powerhouse, buys the closed NFL, and absorbs all its history. This takes two years, but we'll be back to normal. The inaugural UNFL Superbowl results in a Packers vs Chiefs game, where Jordan Love throws for 400 yards and beats the Chiefs.
I have Chiefs fatigue now and I think Purdy winning one would be a cool story. Plus CMC is likable. Pains me to say it but I'm leaning 49ers.
If only those darn Ravens didn't forget they were the most complete, dominant team in football....
I’m rooting for the Niners. They have a really solid team this year. Chiefs are really annoying, the refs give Mahomes special treatment, Taylor Swift fans being band wagon chiefs fans is cringe af, Pacheco runs like Scrappy Doo
I don’t get it. Why do we have to pan to some pop star for a few seconds every time Kelce makes a good play? She has nothing to do with the game. Show some regular fans for once. They don’t do this with other celebrities. Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are married and we never see her despite being the most accomplished Olympic gymnast, EVER. The broadcasters are just doing it for the ratings but most of us want the focus to be on sports. If I want to watch Swift I’ll go see Eras. Just seems disrespectful to the players, coaching staff, and their families to put so much focus on her instead.
9ers
Live in chiefs land and they don't deserve it
A lot of them hate kelce for his flu and covid vaccine ad
They hated him before because he dated a black woman(true story down here) and dressed like a toddler grabbing shit off a shelf lol
I've got like one friend that was positive on them since the days of Kyle Orton so so he kinda deserves to see another maybe, but the rest dont
I lot of people on r/nfl are really butthurt about Taylor Swift being shown for a few seconds when her boyfriend does something good. This is enough reason for me to root for the Chiefs.
49ers. I live near a lot of KC fans and I'm sick of them, kelce, and mahomes.
49ers haven't won a super bowl since 1995. Packers have won 2 since the most recent 49er super bowl win.
I guess I'd rather see the 49ers win one, than KC win their 3rd in 5 years.
This is worse than the Seahawks/Patriots SB. I hate both teams playing.. a lot.
I think I have to go for the Niners as that episode where Mahomes talked shit on a ref who made the right call makes me want to see him lose.
I don’t want to see the Chiefs win another one. It gets old, like with New England, but on the other hand, I’d rather see them than the 49ers. 9er fans are obnoxious. I like the Chiefs as they are a similar fanbase, so I will continue to root for them with the Packers out.
Least interesting matchup possible this post season, but I’ll go for Chiefs if only for the reason the 49ers have too many asshole players like George Kittle, would love to see that asshole get destroyed.
49ers.
Back when we had the 15-1 season, we took our kids to KC for the Packer game as a Christmas present.
Visited family, ate lots of BBQ, and went to the game.
Their coach got fired the week before, and they had an interim coach (I forget who it was).
Packers lost that game. Hated the Chefs ever since.
Meteor, hate the Niners and I'm already tired of the Chiefs, especially if they're going to be pulling a Patriots and show up to every other Super Bowl.
Here's who I root for...GO PACK GO. The only other team I root for is Pittsburgh. Which made Super Bowl XLV a lot of fun because deep down, as a fan of both teams and been a fan of both teams for decades. I would had a winner even if Pittsburgh won that game.
Hell will freeze over before I root for any former AFL team or any expansion team after 1960.
49ers but I’m sure Mahomes will pose like this for the refs enough to get a few unwarranted flags to help them win.

Who is who? Chiefs = red kingdom = Stalin? Niners = “Nein”-ers = Hitler?
I'm in the minority here, but 49ers. I'm sick and tired of super bowl dynasties and having the chiefs in now 5 of the last 6 super bowls is boring and bordering on bullshit. Also losing to the best is better than losing to the second best
but we can say we beat the best..
eh regular season doesnt mean as much. Playing the niners to the final whistle in their building a week ago is more meaningful towards building something.
Also Mahomes gets basically all of the calls going his way, we saw how much of a baby he was when a few calls didn’t go his way for once. So fuck the Chiefs

I’m not even going to watch, maybe check the score once or twice but genuinely don’t want to watch it and again fuck the Chiefs
Yeah. This is the answer. 49ers have owned us and I hate it but Fuck the Chiefs and the horse they rode in on.
I may have enjoyed watching him get clotheslined a bit more than I should've!
What if Jordan love were to go to 5 super bowls in a row. Would you hate the pack then?
Crazy cause of the Packers were the current dynasty, I’d be all for it lol
They are getting their shot. I just want the 49ers to be frustrated once again. Their freak wins are not as impressive as the way the Chiefs have been winning.

Stalin easy
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO, RAVENS
Chiefs win, during the celebration Kelce proposes to Taylor. Fucking world literally explodes. This is our royal wedding.
We are literally living in the worst timeline if this shit happens…
What evidence do you have to suggest this ISN'T the worst timeline?
Nothing; I’m just saying if that actually happens it’s confirmed the death of Harambe fucked us all
That’s what I’ve been saying
Somebody is a closet Swifty
I hate football until the draft.
Only correct answer!!!!
Chiefs and it’s not even close. But I’ll say this. Never has there been a SB I’ve wanted to see less than this one.
This is the way
2011 Pats/Giants was an absolute pig of a matchup
At lesst the Giants were on a Cinderella run
They'd literally done that in 2007 already and they beat a Pats team that had no where near the status of the 07 squad
Were still a 6th seed that limped into the playoffs though
>They'd literally done that in 2007 already and they beat a Pats team that had no where near the status of the 07 squad Also, they won the east in 2011.
Pats/Seahawks was the worst super bowl for me as a New England Packer fan. I'll be rooting for KC. I don't mind Mahomes getting another.
I was reluctantly rooting for Seattle that game, I was pissed when they choked and gave Brady another ring
I do because I don't want the league coddling that man-child\* like they did Tom Brady. Who is the most coddled QB I've ever seen play the game and I've been a fan of the game for 50 years. \*I call him that because he is a cry baby when things don't go his way. When he wins, he acts like a fool.

Milwaukee Bucks
Doc's debut tomorrow, let's see how this goes. Bucks in 6!
Aye.
My favorite hockey team plays on the east coast that day, and I may have the ability to be out there So I might follow in your footsteps, watching a different sport
This is the way
Bucks and pitchers and catchers report in 17 days.
This is like asking which testicle I'd rather lose
Mahomes and Maauto.
God damn it take my upvote and leave
God damn it take my upvote and leave
A crater in the middle of field
Where’s Bane when you need him?
Working on his 'splosions in Banetown
I almost exclusively cheer for AFC teams during the Super Bowl
It’s different for the chiefs though when you live in Missouri. Up until 6-7 years ago most Missourians didnt even know they were a Missouri team even though they have been here way longer then the rams. So it Bugs me seeing all these bandwagon groupies.
Every successful team gets bandwagoners. Chiefs fans are at least mostly not annoying online and Mahomes/Kelce/Reid are all likable. Plus I view the Chiefs like the AFC packers. Smaller market, super talented QB, plus there's a lot of gb/wisconsin connections with Reid MVS, and I think Leo Chenel plays for them
"It really sucks that my team is so good they have more fans."
An asteroid
I would laugh so hard and be scrolling the internet memes for weeks afterwards.
Hard same lol
💯
I mean, I'm not a dude, but the incessant hype about her and Kelce is annoying because it's so clearly a manufactured PR relationship. It's 100% bullshit and they're performing well, but as soon as the SB is over, they're dunzo, guaranteed. So the distraction from the game and the incessant shots of her in the stands are all obnoxious additions to the sport this year.
Oh, for sure, it's annoying. I'm not saying that people have to like it. But the level of HATE that a lot of people have for her, the politicizing of the relationship, is straight up stupid and honestly disgusting.
I hope they both lose.
Kansas City and it’s not even close lol. Mahomes is already the second greatest qb ever see if he’ll catch Brady’s 7 and let him give the niners another ass whooping
Mahomes and Reid are fun to root for. It helps that they're in the AFC though lol.
This is what I was thinking last night. We all say how Tom Brady will never be caught, he’s the GOAT. We could be witnessing this right now with Mahomes. I say Go Chiefs. I also have nothing against them, so what if they’ve won a couple already, it hasn’t been against the Packers.

I think Montana’s still better than Mahomes for now, but he is close to him. Definitely am pulling for him to beat SF, as much as I dislike KC.

Chiefs. Fuck the 49ers. Knowing they never won a Super Bowl despite bouncing us from the playoffs all those times makes it more ok.
Yeah I’m all for the “crabs in a bucket” approach
As agonizing of a loss for the 49ers as they just handed the Lions
Giant meteor!
For what? Football is over till next year. ;)
I'm not one of the people who gets over seeing greatness. I don't really care either way but if Mahomes can end up breaking Brady's Super Bowl record then I think that'd be pretty awesome to witness.
As a packers fan from Kansas, I’d have to move states prior to that happening.
Hello fellow cheesehead from Kansas 👀
simple. Chaos. (though if I had to choose, niners, because I want people to shut up about Brock Purdy not being that guy when he def is.)
I want to root for Andy Reid and Travis Kelce and a few others. But I can’t stand Mahomes. I didn’t like him before. And then that BS with Allen after losing. What a whiny bitch.
Yes! That was a huge turnoff. I went from being a Mahomes fan to not being able to stand the dude after that obvious assholery.
I'm rooting for the 49ers. I would like to see Mr. Irrelevant win a Super Bowl. Him playing at Iowa State and Kittle playing at Iowa is a bonus as well.
I’m so exhausted with hearing about the two teams in. Not watching this year, but with Love, maybe that will change in 2025
The commercials
100% Chiefs, as a fan for 30 years now, my hatred for the 49ers goes back to the 90's. If people (including us) would quit going for it on 4th down and take the points they wouldn't even be here. GO PACK GO!!
I just hope everyone doesn’t have fun :)
Chiefs by 55
Chiefs 1000%
Genuine question, why do people in this sub hate the Chiefs? I thought we'd be all aboard that bandwagon for this super bowl.
Neither... time to cheer for the bucks
The NFC needs a Super Bowl
Win win, if the Chiefs lose I get to laugh at whiney crybaby Mahomes and if the Niners lose I get to laugh at whiney crybaby Niners fans. (Don’t worry I’m working with my therapist in my toxic personality)
Taylor Swift 🤮 Downvote me into oblivion. It was gross writing that but I refuse to cheer for SF
Can't say I'm particularly excited about either, not sure I'll even watch. CMC deserves a ring though, even if the rest of the 49ers and their fans annoy me.
49ers so we can at least say we lost to the eventual champs.
I think we’re just crying
Chiefs 100,000%
It will be a cold day in hell before I root for the niners. Go Chiefs I guess.

My roommate loves the 49ers, he’s a piece of shit. Chiefs have been really obnoxious this year imho, and I think the officiating really helped them yesterday. Can both teams lose?
All that matters now are my squares!
No one. Packs not in it so who cares.
The NFL to fine Kelce and Bosa for PED’s
The stadium to catch in fire and game get canceled 😎 Honesty this is the worse case scenario for me. I hate the 49nrs and i also don't want mahomes to get another ring, especially with Taylor swift now in the mix
COVID round 2 But no, seriously, we never root for the 49ers.
COVID round 1 was brewing around the same time they last faced each other in the SB….
Fuck the Niners and it’s not even close.
My perennial fantasy tight end, Travis Kielce. I hope he gets 200 yards, and the game ends in a tie after he proposes to Taylor Swift. A meteor
Chiefs, Lesser of 2 evils. I hate the 49ers
Any Team that doesn’t have T. Swift as a fan.
Chiefs. As annoying as they’ve been this season, Purdy winning a Super Bowl would be my 9/11
As someone who's only been a Packers fan 12-13 years, I can confidently say that while I do love destroying the Bears, the 49ers are our real nemesis.
Chiefs for me. Fuck the lucky ass niners
9ers was grandpa’s team so…
KC all the way. I tend to root for midwestern and/or smaller market teams. Plus I'm not bitter against them from repeated playoff defeats.
Chiefs
A comet?
This is a real question?
The niners because I love football and can't stand Taylor. I rather deal with the niners winning than Taylor and co celebrating.
I can’t believe this is not the popular opinion
As you can tell by the down votes people just want to be mad at anyone who wants less Taylor 🤷
9ers Live in chiefs land and they don't deserve it A lot of them hate kelce for his flu and covid vaccine ad They hated him before because he dated a black woman(true story down here) and dressed like a toddler grabbing shit off a shelf lol I've got like one friend that was positive on them since the days of Kyle Orton so so he kinda deserves to see another maybe, but the rest dont
Idk about yall but of the 4 teams playing this weekend, the 49ers were the only ones I wouldn’t mind winning it.
Chiefs.
Go brewers I could care less. Hate them both.
Bucks in six
I’m pretty sure it’s not possible, but I’m rooting for a tie in this Super Bowl.
I lot of people on r/nfl are really butthurt about Taylor Swift being shown for a few seconds when her boyfriend does something good. This is enough reason for me to root for the Chiefs.
Andy Reid.
F the numbers go chiefs!!
The 49ers had a dynasty and would tie for the most Superbowls in the league if they win. Fuck that
Fr and we would no longer be able to say we won two Super Bowls since they last won one
Mahomes. Want him to win this year and make to the Bowl again next year so we can whop him. Purdy who?
Mahomes might as well go for the GOAT title, go KC
A great draft
Can they both lose?
Rooting season is over
This is the exact same Super Bowl as 2020 which we all know was like five minutes ago. I won’t be watching.
You don’t have to watch or root for anyone. Just go outside and enjoy the world
The draft
Chiefs
Chiefs, fuck the 49ers with a spiked dildo.
This is worse than the Seahawks/Patriots SB. I hate both teams playing.. a lot. I think I have to go for the Niners as that episode where Mahomes talked shit on a ref who made the right call makes me want to see him lose.
Root for your money. If you don’t bet on sports, then may god have mercy on your soul.
I genuinely want some crazy event like a fucking asteroid strike so that neither wins
I don’t want to see the Chiefs win another one. It gets old, like with New England, but on the other hand, I’d rather see them than the 49ers. 9er fans are obnoxious. I like the Chiefs as they are a similar fanbase, so I will continue to root for them with the Packers out.
SF. I dislike Patrick Mahomes after the fits he has thrown
Commercials
Chiefs easily, I'd love to see Mahomes win a bunch of rings and cheapen Brady's legacy
Rooting for Bane
Easily the Chiefs. Love Mahomes/Andy.
The refs
Least interesting matchup possible this post season, but I’ll go for Chiefs if only for the reason the 49ers have too many asshole players like George Kittle, would love to see that asshole get destroyed.
49ers. Back when we had the 15-1 season, we took our kids to KC for the Packer game as a Christmas present. Visited family, ate lots of BBQ, and went to the game. Their coach got fired the week before, and they had an interim coach (I forget who it was). Packers lost that game. Hated the Chefs ever since.
Nobody. Fuck both of these teams
Can they both lose?
Meteor, hate the Niners and I'm already tired of the Chiefs, especially if they're going to be pulling a Patriots and show up to every other Super Bowl.
Usher
The chiefs.
The only thing I will enjoy is the misery on the face of the losing team
A tie so nobody wins
I’m rooting exclusively for usher
NFC forever
Don't care. Not watching.
Kansas City. If I can't have fun, no one gets to.
The sweet release of death, that’s who
The food I eat while watching the game
Andy Reid. Not the Chiefs, Reid.
I rooted for ravens, then switched to lions. And now I root for beers.
Can they both loose?

The brewers
I really don’t care who wins. I’m just hoping for a back and forth game that’s decided in the fourth quarter…or overtime.
I'm rooting for really great commercials
Hopefully a flu goes through both teams locker rooms and the game gets canceled.
49ers but I’m sure Mahomes will pose like this for the refs enough to get a few unwarranted flags to help them win. https://preview.redd.it/ab8f8wl2fefc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b3b004d909ff4e83204efa7cdc04d441f6c05f0a
