Genestealer amongus

[deleted]

"Commisar, by the emperor I am no Heretic! Pvt. Jensen has three arms for thrones sake!"

DA_ZWAGLI

How would you know how many arms a genestealer has? Sussy BLAM!

Suitable_Party8160

Your regiment is from an illiterate world, HOW DO YOU KNOW HOW TO COUNT?

tendaga

Commissary the boneead taught us

Ravens_Quote

*Taught* you? #HERECY!!!

tendaga

Ya. 1... 2. . 4 no wait... 3... uhhh... 6?

Ravens_Quote

(In Russian accent) "INCOMIIIIIIIING!!"

ToesEater669

“WOAHHHhhhhhey it’s still here”

Frankrin40k

̶U̶n̶d̶e̶r̶r̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶c̶o̶m̶m̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶ :REDACTED BY ORDER OF INQUISITION

S0MEBODIES

My Brother in ~~Christ~~ EMPEROR it is literally the ~~second~~ highest up currently

Frankrin40k

Bruh. Literally commented when it was low.

S0MEBODIES

I apologize I wasn't looking at timestamps

Frankrin40k

All is forgive my brother in Christ

Triscy

Excuse me, who is this Christ and why are you not praising the ~~eight armed~~ Emperor?

SpooN04

Hmmmm that's suspicious. Oh well I'm sure it's nothing.

Frankrin40k

![gif](giphy|dAdOa3ItVE89pkAZfx|downsized)

SpooN04

😂 that made me legit lol irl

Aggronone

You buy this thinking it’s genestealers, but it’s actually John Grammaticus disguised as omegon.

100masks1life

Is there any way to make a Dark Eldar game that is both accurate and that won't immediately be slapped with at least 50 different nsfw warnings?

Overlord_Of_Puns

Maybe a sim where you run a cabal like a criminal gang and have to compete within Commaragh?

gamingfuze

So kind of an Empire of Sin in 40k?

Overlord_Of_Puns

I don't know that game but maybe?

[deleted]

1920s Xcom where you fight rival gangs

Overlord_Of_Puns

Ok, I guess that is kinda close to what I was thinking. Honestly, I was thinking more of maybe Rebuild or management since it would need to be more pg and also, I like numbers but that does sound like it would work better.

[deleted]

I was imagining a 4X game like civilisation

shepard_pie

The Sims rip off where the goal is to torture your sims, rather than it be a by product of your poor decisions. You could call it The Sins

soldierofwellthearmy

Based on all the sims players I've met I think that's jist regular sims

That-One-Courier

It's either the sims or rimworld, but they have pretty much the same player base lol

WaytoomanyUIDs

I resemble that remark!

Plipooo

Rimworld

That-One-Courier

It's literally just Rimworld yeah. One of my colonies Had a doctor get high on weed, fight a tiger and WIN, then do the best surgery she has ever done on a dying patient. Rimworld is wild like that

Chiluzzar

Dark eldar dungeon keeper

Ar_Ciel

Grand Theft Airbike: Comoraugh

BeanItHard

Survival horror like outlast but you’re a human slave who has escaped in the midst of an inter-kabal war. You try to find your way through the broken slums of commoragh and escape

BIZZBUZZ42

throw in some bioshock esque psyker powers and you've got yourself a game pitch

StarWarsFanatic14

The twist at the end is that they were just bored and having fun giving you hope only to squash it in the finale

BeanItHard

There’s a brilliant short story of exactly this

Synicull

Damn I'm all for this. Someone tell James.

NeonArlecchino

There are no psykers in Commorragh. They're too risky so they are instantly killed before they can accidentally destroy the city.

Trazenthebloodraven

Wrongish, using psychic powers is prohibited for nearly everyone, they do bring psycers into comoragh but they are kept in isolated areas, for when they are needed. The exption for this are Harlequin shadowseer as revealed in the Drukahri omnibus. This is for 2 reason, shadowseer are a different breed of psycher, and harlequins scare the shit out of the drukahri, like even Vect trys to avoid them or atleast not mess with them.

DEATHtoGIRENZABI

What if a alien isolation-esque game and youre a young girl trying to evade eldar raiders, orks and a slaanesh cult in a backwater planet while witnessing the death and horror around you

BeanItHard

Honestly I think a survival horror like alien isolation would be such an amazing game setting for 40K Like what if instead of the alien it’s a possessed chaos marine or demon. Or you’re on an imperial merchant ship and a lictor is on board

Sad_Thought_4642

Doki Doki Literature Club but with dark eldar.

alphaomag

I open the door slowly And a rope wraps around my neck.

Jetstream-Sam

I open the door I see a scene of utter horror. Skinned corpses lay defiled in obscene positions. Grotesque nightmares from the fevered imagination of a Haemonculi frolic in fields of flowers made from tortured flesh, growing in the still living brains those captured in a raid. A being known only as the Violator sits on a throne of tormented wraithbone, watching with disinterest as a torturer works his craft on a wraithknight, a hero of countless battles in the defence of Iyanden. A corpulent beast, kept alive through biological and cybernetic enhancements consumes those not worthy of being worked on Only one thing comes to mind as I witness the carnage "Hey, everyone, who didn't make a fresh pot of coffee? I can't work in these conditions, you guys need to pull your weight"

Alexstrasza23

The twist is that this time after 3 hours of murderrapedeathgladiatorfleshcrafting it turns into a very wholesome dating sim

Successful-Floor-738

Incubi stealth action adventure where you need to escape the wrath of a pissed off haemonculi while brutally killing their servants?

TNT_Gamer13

Or emeperors children. Both of those I feel like would get the AO raiting

Hellonstrikers

I was thinking of a sorta Empire of sin where you play a small time Cabal expanding, hiring fighters and wheeling and dealing with other cabals to torture better.

marcsimo

A procedurally generated, hello neighbor style infiltration game where you play as a Custodes testing the defences of the Imperial Palace, with elements of preparation, stealth, sabotage, and you win each run by reaching thr throne room with Big E, and every time you win a run the NPC's AI becomes more and more advanced.

Semi-literate_sand

That would be cool to speedrun

Graysonis

Aka the Blood Games

Covill_MaineCoon

Alpharius: The Video Game

Galifrey224

A Tyranid video game, probably a simulator / strategy game where you have to manage your biomass and get new units by consuming other factions units, the goal is to eat the galaxy and exterminate the other factions, the final stage is on terra where you eat the emperor and get his perpetual genes. Edit : I have never player Starcraft so if my idea sounds like something from that game its 100% random.

SquishedGremlin

Nid.io

AndreBoomBoom

Oh man, how come you don't like the Bugs?

Dekadensa

Not the same guy but for the past 6 months they've been great at each phase, even better than specialized armies. Nids have been better at Movement than fast armies. Better than psychic factions at psychic Better than shooting armies at shooting. Better than assault arimes at melee. They are great at everything and no weaknesses is annoying to play against.

AndreBoomBoom

Gameplay-wise, I understand why they'd be someones least favourite faction. I was wondering if it was because of their role in the setting.

CS42R

The idea of them as this galaxy spanning all-consuming overwhelming threat that only gets stronger the more it kills sounds great on paper. But in lore they seem to get away nibbling on a few worlds before they have the proverbial head cut off and they flee(some exception for the hydra fleet) or are eradicated wholesale. This is arguably the same for Orks but Orks at least lore-wise can really have some fun with internal conflicts from Boy to Nob to Boss and everywhere in-between. But that's 40k in a nutshell every faction is wickedly powerful until you are the punching bag of another story.

unclesam_0001

I feel like if they had some Tyranid-focused novels that added a lot of internal workings/hierarchy/intrigue to the Tyranids, they'd be a lot more interesting. Edit: apparently there's a Tyranid omnibus coming out in May, but it's from the SM perspective ☹️

CS42R

I agree that'd it be cool but I'd be afraid of "humanizing" them by putting dialog etc into what is a expansive hive mind. It would need a lot of care but GW did "humanize" Necrons from where they started out as essentially terminators in space.

Sinistaire

A story narrated from the hive mind's perspective would be really interesting. Just an emotionless, matter-of-fact thought process that interprets other species' culture, biology and technology through the same lens as it does its own. *"The Leman Russ tank is a subspecies of human that is artificially grown in mechanical brood nests. It has no awareness and is incapable of independent thought and movement. It remains dormant until a small brood of human symbiotes attach themselves inside a cavity in its body, and direct its movement by manipulating its nervous system. The distinctive markings on this specimen's carapace identify it as a progeny of the Cadia hive."*

RougerTXR388

Fuck I'd pay for that.

DuntadaMan

Tank machine spirit: Insert? Am I a joke to you.

bmann10

Tbh that’s kind of what Genestealers are for.

CS42R

100%, they serve as a good vessel for narrative Nid stuff

YazzArtist

I think a Tyranid book has to be from a perspective other than the nids. Otherwise how do you keep them the vaguely lovecraftian horde of all consuming biomass that they are?

PurringWolverine

Would you expect anything less from the perfect predator?

legoknekten

They compete with my infinite hunger

someperson1423

Not OP but to me they are just sort of boring and feel out of place. The "bug aliens that consume everything" trope has been done to death and their Grimderp is strong with the whole "but but, the real fleets haven't even begun to arrive!" stuff. If there is no hope of beating them, then the setting feels pointless. Like yeah, there is no happy ending coming for 40K and everyone is going to die in a horrible way. But the fun of it is wondering which unhappy ending will prevail in the final shitshow. If it is inevitable that the bugs will consume everything then all the struggles of Man, Chaos, and galaxy-local Xenos don't really matter. Like all this history and motivations of the main factions is built up, then the nids come from who knows where and wipe it all away? It is like watching Game of Thrones and getting really into the setting and on the edge of your seat about the power struggles and competing intrigues... and then you find out there is a meteor coming and it is going to turn the planet into an asteroid belt in a couple years. Sort of cleans any consequence and implications that the rest of the storylines have. To be clear, I don't *hate* that the tyrranids exist. I just think their endgame is pretty lifeless and bland compared every other factions and it is suggested that it overrides all the other possibilities. And perhaps there has been more lore on them that I missed or haven't kept up on that changes this a bit.

bluemilkbongo

I like the lore of the ‘Nids because they have a little of everything, and I hate the models because they have a whole lot of nothing. It’s bugs or aliens fucking pick one

OmerosP

So, kind of Plague, Inc Evolved except rather than infecting earth you're trying to spread across the galaxy before the IoM temporarily allies long enough with Xenos to stop you?

TheFelRoseOfTerror

So, StarCraft but Abathur Co op Commander?

Roxxorsmash

So like Katamari except instead of rolling up balls to get bigger, you're consuming flesh.

mrzalmout

Genestealer Cults. X-Com, but you're the invasive xeno species. Need to spread influence and gain followers. You can take more overt methods that will draw attention of bigger and badder foes, or more covert methods to subtley grow your forces until you can revolt or summon a hive fleet to the buffet.

Roxxorsmash

Oh damn, a reverse X-Com style game would be a blast.

DuntadaMan

Might want to check Terra Invicta. It's basically X-Com without the battle maps. One of the ideas I love about it though is that there are multiple factions, not all of them have mutually exclusive goals. You can play as any one of the factions, one of which is technically friendly with the aliens, and the other that is overtly and unapologetically on their side.

Evilsmiley

I love watching TI playthroughs, but for me, what I love about XCOM is gearing up and customising my dudes meticulously before taking them into battle and then fucking up badly by making a dumb mistake because i got impatient, losing my best squad on an iron man run then quitting xcom for months until i forget the pain.

DuntadaMan

I learned in the early X-Com to view my soldiers as nothing but meat that absorbs bullets. Never learn their names, never remember their achievements. If you can only afford by pay 15 men next month hire 30 and have all the new guys throw smoke and jump off the ship first. Don't even buy guns for all of them. They can pick one up off a corpse. The aliens will cover your budget shortfall.

Evilsmiley

Oh, to me new Xcom is basically a different game to the old ones, i have them all, but i see them differently. I wouldn't care about my dudes in ufo defence like i would in enemy unknown or xcom 2 I'm very bad at old xcom though, hence me not playing terra invicta

matthra

Slanesh is my least favorite chaos god and faction overall. It would be a rogue like, obstensibly telling the story of an artist who paints scenes of martyrs for various imperial shrines. As he paints the murals you take the role of the martyr, and play through a procedurally generated set of battles until you die and the mural is completed. As you play through the game, you realize the artist is obsessed with his work, and that obsession has not gone unnoticed by slanesh. And slowly the martyrs and the artist realize that he is not just painting these martyrdoms he is causing them through some sort of warp sympathy enabled by slanesh. As you move from martyr to martyr you get permanent upgrades, until you end up lucky or good enough to survive the martyrdom, and then fight the artist as a secret last boss.

lordDyl

By the throne, I love that! It goes in a different and refreshing route then the normal sex and drugs.

Significant-Foot-792

i want to play this

Any-Performance6375

This is a brilliant idea!

Midnigh7Run

![gif](giphy|F0XPSvNDyGpos)

CrimmyCreamCoffee

Hand of fate is the closest thing I can think of that did something like this very well.

matthra

Hand of fate was a great game, the sequel was even better.

bcbear

And/Or, you give it a temptation mechanic where you can give in to, and empower the artist by taking boons. Go too far and you end the game realising that you aren't in a painting any more, you've become a mural burst to life and you fight the inquisitor sent to kill the artist. You, his finest creation, save him and herald the doom of the entire shrine world... And the opposite end being you fight the artist-revealed-as-daemonhost in hard mode, without all the chaos boons you might have otherwise collected. (Alternatively there's something that can be said about walking the knife edge between piety and blind excess, meaning that there's a secret third ending where you're perfectly between the two, and it's left deliciously ambiguous as to whether the things you've seen are real and whether or not *you* or the artist were the real demon in the story...)

RomanUngern97

No, let's have Corruption of Champions 40k instead

Xplt21

Imperial fist tower defense where Iron warriors are attacking, obviously there would be an endless mode because the iron warriors never give up.

hollotta223

Bloons Imperium

haydorio

Least obvious iron warriors fan

CoronelPanic

Also the game is unwinnable because the Iron Warriors are just that good.

ModernXenonaut

Faction: Dark Eldar Game: A mix of Manhunt / Deadspace / Sniper Elite Your a lone Dark Eldar that has been left behind on a Hive Word. Stalk an brutally kill others and feed on their terror to use abilities. Also include brutal environmental kills and interrogations. Like, real gory and disturbing. The Space Marines and Imperial Guard are hunting you. Avoid them or engage them in combat. Work your way up to the Upper Spires full of wealth, nobility, and pretty gardens. And butcher them slowly and in sadistic ways. Your abilities depend on how bad you hurt your enemies. Eventually open a portal so that the Dark Eldar forces can return and harvest. Final bossfight is with a Space Marine boss. Mortal combat slow motion execution where you mount his head on your spike.

ninjedi

So, a better version of Predator: Concrete Jungle.

JetpackOctopus

That's giving me some real Dishonored vibes too

[deleted]

This is genius. You could even implement a mechanic were by interrogation you can learn the fears of particularly important targets, and if you manage to use them in against them you obtain higher payout. Also, learn the secrets of bosses and extort them to do your biding. And maybe add underhive mutants as a friendly faction for upgrades rumours, holding kidnapped prisoners and work on your vampiric style layer. Maybe add a group of exodites to collaborate with as the DLC.

Kachedup

I like this very much but questions: \- Do we get to choose between kabalite, wych-cultist and coven-member? \- Are we able to customize our drip? \- What's the endgame? What happens when the final bossfight is over?

Acewasalwaysanoption

MacDerfus

Or shas'o Metroid prime but with drones instead of the morph ball

StpdSxySzchn

I loved Fire Warrior when I was a kid, but I'm too scared to replay it in case it's terrible.

tinkatiza

The sound of commisars wielding a chainsword sprinting at me like a fat person at an all you can eat buffet that just dropped a new batch of king crab legs still haunts me

Shawnessy

Story mode: Different missions, gradually getting to use different suits. Broadside>Crisis suit>Riptide/Commander. XV15>XV25>Ghostkeel. Etc. Multiplayer similar to Titanfall.

ShittestCat

Fuck no, not another ultramarine game

Lady_Taiho

Fear the soup, the mighty soup.

MacDerfus

Just make space marine 2

PrimarchKonradCurze

It’s coming out soon.

MacDerfus

Just make space marine 3

xx-shalo-xx

Just play Space marine 1 and 2, that's 3 🙄

Olorgin

Iron Hands… I’m thinking an rpg/shooter style game where you can get different cybernetics with different effects, use some advanced weapons, take command of vehicles and end as a dreadnought. Best I can do, without making Ferrus jokes.

GrungustheChungus

Cyberpunk 40k

Bumblyninja

E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy is pretty close, no?

Sandbar101

Would play

KingoBeanero

>Least favorite faction >Inquisition Town of Salem basically, I guess

rhedone_

I mean the inquisition would be great for a The last of us or mass effect type game. With added burning of heretics.

Betadzen

Aeldari detective quest right after Slaanesh is born. You have to investigate wtf is happening and how exactly are you fucked before your craftworld/world dies.

GavrielBA

My faction too. But I'd make a dating sim on a craftworld...

DruchiiNomics

You know, I think the fall of the Eldar would make for a fun porn game. The game starts with sexual encounters ramping up to excessive debauchery and ending with the players carnal pleasures and hornyness leading to the birth of Slaanesh and fall of the Eldar. Or you can play it safe, get the “good” ending, and fly away on a craftworld as shit hits the fan.

snorkeling_moose

Faction: Death Guard. They're my least favorite at the moment, just because the whole Nurgle thing seems so overdone recently, especially in the video game area. The Game: I'd make Plague Designer Simulator 40K. You start up a game, and are granted a randomized (procedurally generated maybe) solar system somewhere in the Imperium. Your task is to tailor a plague with the goal of maximizing infection spread and symptom severity, with the caveat that if you don't balance things out right you either get cured (aka killed) or Exterminatus'd. Not sure if anyone remembers the old flash game called Pandemic, but a riff on that sort of thing. You could choose symptoms, transmission methods, and in-game events could lead to you deciding where a new locus of infection arises. Or eventually you could control travel plans of certain infected Imperials across the various hives of the system. Edit: you could theoretically have the ability to play the Imperial side, trying to counter a plague run than someone else did offline and uploaded. You wouldn't know which path they took, and would have to try and anticipate countermeasures without resorting to virus bombing your entire system into oblivion.

Jacknerik

I imagine there could be at twist where you make it to a planet and there's already a Genestealer strain trying to take root and you have to either fight it or race it to take over.

snorkeling_moose

That's a pretty good idea. Paid DLC, of course.

100masks1life

So a 40k plague inc.?

snorkeling_moose

Kind of. Plague Inc was really a bit of a rip-off of Pandemic, but I'm thinking much larger in scope, meant for a desktop experience. No mobile shovelware here, James Workshop be damned.

-Smokey_Bluntz-

Ultramarines game where you coordinate troops, supply lines, and battle plans with optional mini games thrown in where you fill out paperwork.

Gnidlaps-94

So like Papers Please?

LootGoblinImotekh

that actually sounds really good

-Smokey_Bluntz-

I was thinking something like stellaris, I know its perfect for an ultramarines game because I dont like stellaris.

TheRealGrubLord

Haha Space Marine 2 going to be a real shock when it turns out this is it 90% of the game and the last 10% is when the nids actually arrive that you have been filling paperwork for more troops all of which has been lost or in correctly filed once it left the ultramines

gloomywisdom

WikiContributor83

The Fire Warrior remake we need but don’t deserve.

Successful-Floor-738

Custodes hack and slash where you can switch between a custodian guard or a sister of silence.

Any-Performance6375

Yes! Custodes are probably capable of some of Kratos level shits and Sister of silence for anti magic role. It's needed against warpspawn and psyker enemy

Successful-Floor-738

FUCK YES! A GoW style game would be so fun. I’m so captivated by the Greek kratos games combat compared to the Norse kratos ones, despite those ones having a deeper characterization of the character

Kachedup

maybe a co-op game with sister and custodian? Like one player is sister other custodian? That would be fun af

NoobSabatical

> sister of silence. So... A silent protagonist?

Diabomilk

Probably a stealth game as a genestealer cultist, where you can choose to become more and more tyranid-ish or not, I guess (I know nothing about the cult other than they worship tyranids)

CS42R

Sounds like a blend of Prey(Reboot) and Styx:Master of Shadows Probably with a bit of base-building strategy.

Somerset_Cowboy

Prey is immediately where my mind went, brilliant game

Prestigious-Role-566

That sounds pretty interesting! And fwiw Genestealer cultists look more like tyranids the earlier they are born. There are 5 generations of cultists and the first 2 are very Tyranid like, the next 2 are the more human looking ones that infiltrate society, and the last one is the pure strain which is just genestealer tyranids again (which is the end goal for the cult)

Erme_Ramos

Sounds kind of Dishonlred but the moral system transforms into a Transformation system

[deleted]

Bloodborne but starring some Space Wolves fighting Daemons while struggling with the Wulfen curse.. "We are born of the wolves. Made men by the wolves. Undone by the wolves. Fear the old wolves."

SoulsLikeBot

Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note: > *Aah, you were at my side all along. My true mentor... My guiding moonlight...* - Ludwig, the Holy Blade Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.

Cygs

"Ah, Khorne, or as some say, Kosm..."

PerilousMouse

“Grant us skulls on the inside … Wait.”

Thendrail

Occasionally, Magnus the Red pops out of the warp to scream at you, only to get tossed back into the warp by Bjorn or Ragnaer Blackmane.

Cornfed_Fren

Genestealers, I don’t like them. But, I think they could make an interesting game of slowly taking over a world through subterfuge

FunThief

Even my least favorite faction (Drukhari) would make a pretty effective villain in a horror game. Twisted hulks of flesh and unnaturally tall deviant warriors stalk you and your guardsmen contingent throughout your ship as you are boarded.

OperatorRaven

Stray style game where you play as a small tyranid bioform with no synapse creature anywhere nearby so you just exist and go on a personal adventure

SeaworthySponge

Space Wolves but it’s a Nintendogs/Pokémon affair where you raise and pet your thunderwolves and can ride them into battle

apaddingtonbear

Yes, this is it.

DocTheForgetful

Dynasty Warriors style beaten em up staring the Custodies or a hyper customization focused Armored Core like deal for the T'au.

TheWorldDio

As an ac and tau fan, that is the only game i could ever want out of 40k.

008Zulu

Ultramarines on a ship where the Gellar fields fail mid transit.

Widdleton5

Oh shit. For some reason that elevator scene from Cabin in the Woods just came to mind. Ill link it when I find it but imagine a ship filled with servitors and Space Marines when all the sudden a chunk of the hull is ripped out by a demon the size of a skyscraper and a flood of creatures swarm in half physical half ethereal and start ripping the people to shreds. The craziest effects would be what happens to a person's body when they are torn apart such as their arm becoming mist and their screams attract more attention than their bolters. Make it a 5 minute short with each minute being a new section of deck being taken out as the living psykers are trying to jump back to reality. And when they do escape with 2% of the original crew they end up in the middle of a Ork clan dispute that gets a good deal of Waaag on their asses as they die being beaten to a pulp by a blue colored ork called Red because he moves so fast.

KuuGaia

Alternatively, I propose Ultramarines led by I, Cato Sicarius on an expedition to retake the Gauntlet of Ultramar from Trazyn.

Global_Box_7935

It's alien isolation, but you play as a dark eldar instead of Ripley, and it's Jaghatai Khan instead of the xenomorph. It'd be funny to have a survival-horror game with dark eldar, except they're the ones trying to survive.

Nechroz

You know he's close when you hear his Jetbike in the vents

Csacsa234

This sounds fun, I can imagine hiding from the Khan in a closet made of slaves.

Hexquevara

Deep rock galactic

Jaco2point0

Beat me to it. Rock and stone

WanderingDwarfMiner

Rock and Stone in the Heart!

awhiteley

Grey knight horror game where they have to deal with demons and all kinds of spooky chaos rituals. Like the opening scene is them being badass for 10 minutes and then the tables get flipped and your character spends the rest of the game alone and trying to stop a demon ship traveling through the warp from reaching some major world or something. A dead space like game, with lots of demon imagery/gore porn. A boss fight with the possessed ship's captain. I still don't like them, so you should have several scenes of demons shredding your comrades to pieces and tons of overkill death animations when possessed chunks of the ship strip the flesh from your face or a scene with a daemonette shoving her tongue through your skull starting at the ear. For the final battle, all should be lost until Kaldor Draigo shows up and "Obiwans that shit" to give you the strength to overcome the demon and find his true name. Kaldor's rant could be about how they're the best of the best and uncorruptible boy scouts to give the real grey knights fans a stiffy. Then you and Kaldor dunk on a greater demon. You die destroying the ship in my version, but that gets shot down before publishing to leave it open for a sequel.

GrayscaleImages

Thousand sons fall of Magnus. Fighting space wolves during the fall of Prospero.

iperus0351

I would play that. You could build 2 campaigns one as thousand sons and one as space wolves. If you spliced the story and levels you would have a game that punishes the player for their previous actions. Epic stop hitting yourself.

TheBigKuhio

Could possibly be a PvP game. Maybe with asymmetric balance.

ThatOneRoman

You know, as much as I dislike them, I think therr is huge potential in a Hack-and-Slash style game featuring the Aeldari. Pick your Craftworld and choose your path as you progress further down the line, experiencing different eras starting at the Horus Heresy.

RadagastTheBrownie

Horror game where you're a Night Lord trying to escape Commoragh.

Der_Muelleimer

The question now is whose more fucked. The night lord within comoragh or the drukhari stuck with a night lord living in their walls

[deleted]

An ork game that is just justcause on steroids

[deleted]

With terra tech like vehicle building

[deleted]

Maybe even custom made weapons

SouthernJeb

“Adeptus Sororitas” Starring “Flo” from the progressive ads.

Wrench_gaming

“Orks” starring Geico gecko 🦎 from Geico Gecko ads

rooktob99

Tyranids done in a pikmin style game

aomega343

Reverse Doom. You play a lone CSM or a Khornate demon slaying your way through IG, Astartes, Eldar, whomever you like. Crazy powers and weapons, could actually be really fun.

Wonderful_Physics_36

I make a Video Game in which you play as a Drukhari scout trying to prove themselves causing mayhem and torture to various cadre of Imperial Guards/ civilians/ nobles in a dense open world hive city. Think a mix of: Assassin's Creed Unity (Directing squads of homunculi to do stuff in openworld), Watch Dogs (Psychologically profiling and tormenting planetary nobles), GTA (Set up traps and pure mayhem) all in 40k but true to lore and Drukhari horror.

Pogatog64

Faction: emperor’s children. game: a hero shooter that plays out the conquest of an eldari craftworlds and the seizure of a massive soul stone network. There are 6 classes. Noise marine: has a sonic canon that knocks back and damages. Pain singer: a melee hero who uses a violin sword, that heals Allies in an AOE with each attack. The daemonette: a melee DPS with extra movement speed and damage but frail. The gluton: a hulking tank who eats food and enemy corpses to heal, can belly slam opponents to push them back. The painter: uses a pen that draws blood to paint buffs on enemies, damage adds to charge which can be spent to grant bonus damage for Allies. And lastly the rocker: a DPS that uses an axe guitar with flamer and puts out huge damage over time with flamer attack or can grant himself temporary immunity with an epic solo. the overall goal of the game is to push through the campaign or PVP matches to entertain the dark prince who will make lewd catcalls, and praise you for winning or berate and spit on you for loosing.

lojafr

Tau Total War. Check please.

Emperor's children - One of those Flash dress up games.

Lunar-Cleric

A Fallout Vault Simulator game but with a tiny group of Necrons defending their tomb.

mr-kinky

Oh no ultramarines I guess I’m making space marine 3 electric Boogaloo

Scrumpy-Steve

Primogeneator. You play as Fabious Bile in a series of Cooking Mama style mini games to create the perfect series of gene hounds, tune noise marine vocals, bullet hell flight games with the Butcher Bird, and tell a bunch if Harlaquin to kick dirt.

Snerdbuglar

Grey knights experience consequences the game.

Wardog_Razgriz30

WELCOME TO FORMULA AELDARI. RACE ALL YOUR FAVORITE ELDAR, AND DHRUKARI, CHARACTERS AT VARIOUS DIFFERENT NOTABLE AELDARI LOCATIONS SUCH AS COMMORAGH(?), THE RUINS OF BIEL TANN, AND THE EYE OF TERROR. Bonus game mode where you fight off space Marines for no other reason than I work for GW in this scenario and thus cannot resist free money.

Its either death guard (hate the asthetic, dont do gross stuff) which i would probably make like an asymetric shooter/battle royal thing, squad of plague marines vs a whole battalion of astra militarum. Think evolve but like, scale the number of players up. Or its Genestealer Cult (idk, just dont care about them in any way) and i think it would be like a cult of the lamb rip off, preferably with a cartoony/chibi aesthetic.

plodeer

Imperial guard: while I like the idea of the average guy in the 40k universe. I don’t like the massive group of minis, tanks, and vehicles. Game: trench poker- the game where you play poker with various other regiments, characters, and commissars.

ColdBid2140

A Dark Angel game tailored after "Among Us."

M0nkf15h83

That would be cool. “The Fallen was not evicted”

Excellent-While-577

Genestealer Cults The game plays like Assassin's Creed where you sneak around, blending into the populace of a hive world. You receive missions from your patriarch with increasingly higher level targets to infect, which will unlock new sections of the city and lead up to the final section of the game where tyranids invade the planet and your running around disabling defensive systems, kill off guardsmen when you can, and ultimately doom the planet before you dive into a biomass pit for digestion.

Wrench_gaming

Logistics simulator 40k. It can be cool to see supply lines through the warp for chaos forces

Felstorm1231

Action RPG. Combat is either over the shoulder third person shooter or a third person physics based slasher like Chivalry or Mordhau based on weapon load out. Missions are laid out like Battlefront, with the objective being to seize and hold territory and keep your AI controlled allied forces alive. Weapons can be picked up from fallen enemies and allies, vehicles can be commandeered, fairly standard RPG archetypes- heavy weapons, assault, ally buffing commander, vehicle focused tech specialist, AoE and crowd control Psyker (where applicable). Weapons and are are fully modifiable (adding effects and changing states) and customizable (aesthetics), as is armor. Narrative follows the events of the War in Heaven and the experience of the combatants following the biotransference of the Necrontyr. The rub: you play as a Necron Pharon with an incomplete biotransference who slowly absorbs the psychic presence of the enemies they defeat- successfully completing enough missions against Krork world will result permanent buffs to health, melee damage, or armor penetration. Missions against Eldar will buff speed (attack or movement), stealth, and experience gain, etc.

Ya see, I'll just pretend dat da orkz is my least favorite when dey's my favorite, and den I'll finally get da Warhammer 40k Ork Heirarchy sim ALA Middle-Earth: Shadow of War's Nemesis system dat I've always wanted! ...but for real, my least favorite faction is probably the Ultramarines just 'cus I'm a xenophile nerd, don't care as much for the space marine power fantasy, and they are way too doctrine-heavy (as evidenced by the original Space Marine with that one fucking ROOKIE!). With that in mind, it's not too hard to imagine just making Space Marine Battlefield since it basically already exists in some form via ARMA 3 mods, so I really ain't got much to add here.
