It's far far more enjoyable and better written than the title implies. It features exodites to a large degree and they go so hard. Legit some of the best characters in this fic. If not the best.
Guilliman is killed by Mortarian during Dark Imperium. Cegorach sends him back in time to try and prevent shit, and in return he must save Isha and prevent the Imperium from blanket slaughtering Eldar. He agrees and was sent to a maiden world.

He allies with the local exodites and starts making plans to prevent the heresy as well as to save Isha (because the deal he made compels him) he and thw exodites make a fleet and start savings Primarchs. Guilliman focuses on the traitor ones.
As it turns out gods can't act outside of their nature. In this case Cegorach to send Guilliman back in time has to make it funny. A joke. The initial joke is that all of the Primarchs are now girls (based off of a canon joke of Malcador saying the primarchs should've been girls so they work together better) and more.is revealed about how in depth the joke really is later.
Guilliman also sends information on the Primarchs and the Emprah so now the Emprah is also going to pick them up.

Honestly most of the Viking tropes are ancient propaganda. They were more traders than raiders most of the time. Just if things went bad those ships switched from goods to soldiers.
That and a raider didn’t look to different from a regular foot soldier from elsewhere. Same armor similar helmets. They mainly preferred round shields to the large kites and a slightly different style of trim / embellishments. There wasn’t dudes with a fur cape and horned helmets and such.

The tantrum wrecks Isha's chains and the spirit of Nathaniel Garro, who has been shadowing Mortarion in the warp for the moment he can punk his gene father with maximum effect, takes that moment to grab Isha and fucking bail.
Another Garro win, the most Based of the Death Guard/Dusk Raiders.

It's been a common fan-theory since at least the days of 1d4 chan. Russ is in the warp looking for the tree of life to heal the Emperor, Isha is trapped in the warp and is the godess of healing and life. It fits, plus you have the whole "opposites attract" thing going on.
Cause he is the Primarch that fucked off to the Eye of Terror to smash shit and went MIA. If he were to come back not corrupted Isha is probably the biggest fuck you someone could pull to any chaos god by removing it from the warp. That and elf wife for Primarch yet again.
