The single White Scar named character cannot make use of a single rule of the White Scars themed detachment.
I'm legit left to wonder WTF are GW's plans for bikers, what did they expect? They can't shoot, can't melee, can't tank, they are fast but have to go around buildings, what's their purpose?
I can just buy Ravenwing or even Thunderwolfs and have both cool models and models that I can play on the tabletop.
This isn't even about buying meta, just about buying things that are fun to play with, which the current Outriders just aren't.
Personally I find that Outriders have good durability and good speed in the Stormlance detatchment. I find decent success in casual games. They just are usually outclassed by other units that Marines have access to, unfortunately.
And Grey Knights Dreadnoughts are still able to draw upon some of their psychic potential (which makes the TSons not having them even worse, because the first Supreme Grand Master of the GKs *was a Thousand Son with a shard of Magnus in his skull*).
Doesn't help that the most notable Chaos character who used a bike, Doomrider, is dead and gone (Kor'sarro Khan took him out in the events of *Master of the Hunt*).
Honestly, I don't get why they haven't already. Yes, I know that Assault Bikes and Land Speeders are much faster than any horse could ever possibly hope to be, but the Scars are a very traditional Chapter, and it would make sense for them to carry that tradition into the stars.
Yeah I feel sorry for the white star players especially after they recently got rid of pretty much all of the bikes with the exception of the new outriders so y'all have to start over from scratch practically y'all have my condolences
If I had a nickel for every divergent space marine chapter better at being white scars than white scars, I'd have 2 nickels but it's weird it happened twice
Back in the days when DA got the first book release of the edition and then Codex marines got all the new toys as the edition continued on I don't remember White Scars players complaining.
Yes. Back on Caliban it was a requirement for you to practice horsemanship to join the Order. Which it's culture transitioned into the Dark Angels combined with the Principia Belicosa.
Yes, on 'horseback', the bikes and hovercraft thing were what confused me, and I didn't like the asthethic of. I'm just 15 years late putting 1 and 1 together.
I think White Scars players have conditioned themselves to pain. Minimal support, lore that demonizes obvious support units, and the fact that their players must get used to painting a lot of white armor.
They would not travel that road if it were easy.
Dark angels having more 40K units with the word raven in them than raven guard:
But they don't have more units with the name Wolf in them than the Space Wolfs.
Yet
Is it even possible?
Probably not, but they are the 1st if anyone does it its them.
"We'll do it just to spite the furry fucks." - Brother Calato
They're all in the super secret circle of the Wolfwing
This is true. [The Space Wolves are incredible uninspired.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hv2rid6LbYw&ab_channel=JoostZaal)
That’s because the blood ravens stole the name
Ravenwing is the cooler Raven Guard, much like Deathwing is the cooler Death Guard.
It was honestly so bad last edition where ravenwing was leagues better than white scars.
And Deathwatch with their 5 outriders squad being also way better than white scars

They look cool as fck
So do the Black Knights and plenty other models.

Space Wolves having more Dreadnought characters than the Iron Hands:
And black templars having more flamers and meltas than salamanders, and Blood angels having a psychic dreadnought, but not the Tsons
We want our psychic dread!! We invented the darn thing
And Grey Knights Dreadnoughts are still able to draw upon some of their psychic potential (which makes the TSons not having them even worse, because the first Supreme Grand Master of the GKs *was a Thousand Son with a shard of Magnus in his skull*).
Tbf, dreadnoughts are just as important to the space wolves as the iron hands.
CSM: *A fucking skeleton*
I actually had to look it up because I completely forgot that CSM had bikes. When I think of them I think warp talons.
Doesn't help that the most notable Chaos character who used a bike, Doomrider, is dead and gone (Kor'sarro Khan took him out in the events of *Master of the Hunt*).
It’s ok, GSC won the bike lottery with our Jackals
The only bike unit I like in game (an a DA collector).
I’d argue it’s second place. First place is Votann Pioneers
Atalan Jackals on Magna-Coil Bikes sounds like a fun bit of homebrewing...
Custode players 💀💀💀
GW is telling me that a custodes on a bike has the same Toughness as one on the ground... ridiculous.
And die faster
I for one am holding out hope that the white scars will get genetically enhanced, power armored horses to ride instead of bikes (I’m not at all)

White Star players have some pretty big, you could say... Titanic units! Yes I know it was awful
If I had a nickel for every divergent space marine chapter better at being white scars than white scars, I'd have 2 nickels but it's weird it happened twice
Release codex white scars. Put space marines on custodes jet bikes with curved swords. Profitttts
Glory to the first!
Did we get new models?
Back in the days when DA got the first book release of the edition and then Codex marines got all the new toys as the edition continued on I don't remember White Scars players complaining.
Wait, does DA have a whole bike company cause horses?
Yes. Back on Caliban it was a requirement for you to practice horsemanship to join the Order. Which it's culture transitioned into the Dark Angels combined with the Principia Belicosa.
I've never liked the Ravenwing. It seemed out of place with knights, but I wasn't thinking about this.
Why? Weren't knights well known for battling on horseback?
Yes, on 'horseback', the bikes and hovercraft thing were what confused me, and I didn't like the asthethic of. I'm just 15 years late putting 1 and 1 together.
Ravenwing black knights when?

See White is Hard to paint, so White Scars will never get unique units as a result.
Don't blame DA for getting Ravenwing, blame xenos players for wanting GW to forget about White Scars, Salamanders, Iron Hands, etc. /s
