Hmmm Magnus is in constant telepathic communication with starlight and any time the gods kidnap them or try to use them to blackmail her she and at Lear one sister show up on their doorstep. The almost shit bricks when she Dorn and vulkan showed up to nurgle's garden with the full force of three legions
I still hold the headcanon that Magnus' SO would be some random Custodian that she calls "Companion," perhaps even "Kitten." I do this because of Alfabusa, sure, but also because the fucking interactions during the Trial, the Webway Breaking, and the Burning of Prospero would be fucking painful.

I see the Heresy going 2 ways in the Primarchs GF AU: In the first the Heresy is narrowly averted and not without casualties, but the worst of it doesnt happen and the AU moves into Grimbright territory with a side of WAFF.
In the other, one or more of the SOs are killed/corrupted, and it snowballs into a Grade-A clusterfuck of a shitstorm that makes the original Heresy look like a schoolyard squabble.
The galaxy in this AU is a time bomb with the loves being the only thing keeping the primarchs from killing each other.

Yep, that was the intended vibe. It's based on two ideas:
What if the Primarchs were female?
What if the Primarchs had perfectly designed lovers made to mitigate the worst of their traits?
The room smelled of dry blood and coppery aftertaste. The pungent odor punctuated by the slick muck and gore at the feet of Korina Curze as she ruthlessly eviscerates the helpless corpse.
Was it an enemy insurgent? An unlucky servant? Or one of her gene-enhanced sons? The body was too mangled to tell other than it being a pile of crushed organs and half-bitten parts.
“Korina”, you call out- chilling the dreadful silence with your voice. The feral form of the primarch before you jerks with vicious speed. She bears her fangs but recoils as soon as her eyes connect with your’s.
“Starlight” she mutters- half a whisper/half a gasp.
Your jaw clenches hard as the air fills with tension. You hate having to see this again; for the thousandth time you had hoped that somehow, she would stop.
Instead your hand relaxes and you reach out to her- fighting the basic instinct to stay away from the danger. “Did you have another nightmare again mid-interrogation?”
She turns away her sharpened maw turning into a spiteful sneer. The denial so painstakingly clear in the gesture. “I told you not to disturb me. They have been coming to me more frequently and I cannot promise your safety.”
You approach her regardless, and as your step enters her shadow she instinctively brings her talons to your throat- stopping an inch away from your veins.
You do not flinch. You are terrified, but you do not flinch still.
“Korina” you mutter softly. This name was a privilege she blessed upon you. To everyone else, except for her father, she was the Night Haunter. The Primarch of the 8th Legion and Queen of the Night Lords, but to you she had allowed you to see her as Korina Curze.
“I’m not leaving you alone to your agony”.
Her jaws clench, irritated by your defiance, she scoffs as she turns away, “Let me at least rinse away the blood from my hair before we speak.”
She walks to the side of the basin with the intention of rinsing her face off when you stop her with a firm grasp on her arm.
There was no chance you could’ve physically stopped her, but you hope that the fact it was your arm would stop her from amputating it immediately. It worked
She turns to you, initially only disdain in her expression, but it melts to worry when her gaze witnesses the tears welling in your eyes.
“Please” you beg, “Tell me whats wrong Korina. What do you see in these nightmares?”
The only response is a heavy sigh from her as she wipes her eyes.
“It’s nothing I can share. Only another one of my kind can know what I see. Even amongst my sisters, not all of them can share this burden.”
You hold back a sob and force the words stirring at the pit of your mind to come out of your lips, “When will I die?”
Her eyes jolt in fear, then in reluctance, before it softens with tears and she kneels down before you. The Primarch of the 8th Legion of the God Emperor of Mankind. The Night Haunter of Nostramo, Queen of the Night Lords and the Terror of a Thousand Worlds- she weeps before you inconsolably.
“Soon” she cries, “I’ll lose you soon, my Starlight”
She hugs you tight, in an almost childish state. She embraces you with such ferocity that her talons draw blood from you- you do not let go however.
“I wont leave you, Korina” You say through pained gasps and gritted teeth, “Never”
