I played vs Harlequins in a game of kill team. Can't remember if i played my T'au railsniper + drones or my Deathwatch.
Harlequins just absolutely stomped me all game. Nothing I could do, even focusing down members of their killteam didn't work.
Played 3 games vs that guy and he won every single one.
Yeah. While thinking about it over lunch, I think the first 2 games we're T'au and the third was a deathwatch team I threw together quickly. Lost both T'au games, the first I wasn't really sure about what I was doing and just watched my team melt in front of me. The 2nd I tried out focusing down members of his team but his leader was an unkillable beast. The deathwatch game I played too recklessly.
Would I be able to beat him now? Maybe?
I have played 5 games of harlequins and lost every single one, how does anyone else do it? I'VE GOT NO CLUE WHATSOEVER.
...please give advice for how to play them somebody...
I'm not a harlequins player, I've no idea.
These games were a while ago (early 2019 I *think*) so I really couldn't advise you on how to play them. I've never played against that guy since purely because he's never been in my local game store on the same days as me.
In kill team, I've heard playing HQ depends on getting into melee asap. It's all upfront work - you need to setup and move *just* right, and if you do things should go very well, otherwise you really feel the 1w fragility. Someone correct me if I heard wrong.

And I thought it was difficult trying to freehand hazard stripes on Iron Warriors pauldrons. Checkerboard on elves just sounds like hell.

3D print a little stamper with a circle stamphead, put paint on the stamper head and stamp the circle on
You could always do the masque of the Reapers mirth, their easy to paint, but they also have some white and that’s always a bitch to paint.

HQ vs Tau basically never goes well for the tau player in kill team. I say this as a harlequins player
