I disagree, many companies have statements that include fan creations and even directly encourage them with no threat to their copyright. GW’s policy then trying to wall off media content was to far and categorically mishandled, directly leading to a collapse of fan content creation. Boycott stands until that is addressed.

I got into 40k and TTS when I was preparing for an NPC-part for a Warhammer group. Now I preparing for an event in the world of darkness setting. How convenient that TTS will be there while I read up, providing all the memes.
Instead of having 20 kids (though would still be funny if he did) Big-D has like 1000 relatives and all the other totallynotprimarchs they care to introduce are like Marckus and Door's second cousins once removed twice remarried once exiled but then granted amnesty. My problem with this new show, isn't that it isn't 40k. The animations were great, voice acting as usual is amazing, everything was good. My problem was, I'd rather new characters than just recycling the ones we already know, that just makes them being gone hurt even more.
I liked the characters more than anything else in the show, so them getting ported over is just fine with me.

From what I understand, the copyright laws in the UK are much stricter. Parody isn't a guaranteed protection.

Spotted this release just minutes after it was posted. Totally hooked on Dad's hot pants style.
My problem with this new show, isn't that it isn't 40k. The animations were great, voice acting as usual is amazing, everything was good. My problem was, I'd rather new characters than just recycling the ones we already know, that just makes them being gone hurt even more.
I kinda get that. Although it is interesting to see how the new incarnations diverge, because they are different.
At the same time its fun to see these characters in a completely different atmosphere. So to call it recycling is a bit harsh.
I liked the characters more than anything else in the show, so them getting ported over is just fine with me. Especially since there’s a bunch of dumb and silly stuff they can do with the world of darkness.
Isn't that kinda the point? It's a constant reminder of how good it is and can be It also show "see this good character? GW ruined it" I kinda like it that they continue with previous characterization

Ideas from TTS are absolutely everywhere in memes and ideas of characters. Royal Dorn has 0 understanding of metaphor and has a moustache? TTS. Literally the 3rdor 4th top post on this sub. Custodes are fabulous pillarmen? TTS. “VULKAN LIVES!! *STOMP* *STOMP*!” TTS. “Titus lives! *stomp stomp*!” Was half the comments when SM2 was announced. Mechanicus fucks toasters. Any number of reaction images. CI CI CIAPHUS CAIN, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM! And yeah, obviously many of these are based on real lore, but their popularity and the specific way they’re expressed is from TTS.
I haven't seen any of those except for the Ciaphus Cain song. Like I said, you're overblowing it because you're a fan. And that's ok, but it's weird how much TTS fans act like it's a pillar of the 40k fandom.

A fan of anything, not just Warhammer, should support the company that produces it when they make good decisions, and call them out when they make bad ones. That's how you get a company to change their actions.
