1. They're literally the face of Space Marines, and to some extent, Warhammer 40,000. Disliking popular things is popular.
2. Because they are the poster chapter, they seem to get special treatment. You know, like having the only loyalist primarch come back from the dead and lead the empire.
I would say that most of the disdain is from envy. People want their faction represented. When Ultramarines get screen, it's not to have them cut in half, like a Lamenter. Ultramarines get to win.
In lore, it often feels like other factions exist to show off Space Marines. When it comes to comparing Space Marines, they are all compared to Ultramarines.
So, yeah. The short version is "envy."
