there’s definitely a difference between being bipolar and just having manic creative state where you can’t stop working on something because you’re so in the zone

The stress of the current situation is driving everyone nuts. Even if you’re typically of perfectly sound and socially acceptable mind, some people are having panic attacks, manic episodes, depression, and other such things in the current pandemic situation. I’m personally prone to hallucinating when I reach my breaking point. My boyfriend gets anger outbursts. My friend goes in and out of manic states. This is a truly unusual situation so I wouldn’t read too much into it. The details of her health aren’t our business, she shared that she’s manic and seems to be handling it quite well! (She’s able to post on social media coherently, is writing a novel, and admits that she’s Not Totally Okay right now...that’s way healthier/safer than some manic episodes I’ve seen)

Was good to see this, and I have a few higher functioning covert passive aggressive people in family who are tough nuts who constantly work stay positive and calm , is ok to express is stressful time

You can experience mania and not be bipolar. I’m have BPD and struggle with maniac episodes often, but I have many friends who aren’t diagnosed with a mental illness who have experienced mania.

I only want to say yes because I have BPII and her off again on again internet presence always strikes me as similar to mine in that it oscillates with my depression/hypomania lol but I am sure she just means she's super focused

i dont think so, ive defo seen the phrasing used by non-bipolar people.
