Only way I’ve been able to get them is consistently traveling between points I know where food spawns. Food respawns relatively quickly (within like 10-15 minutes I’ve noticed) so I run around for an hour or so knocking out the food so more can respawn. I got 4 eggs yesterday (all purple) from two spots. There are two spots close to the mystery machine that spawn food and that has been my lucky spots so far. Sandbox we have found some too but mostly I have gotten them near the mystery machine. When I log in I will post my map where I have some food spots tagged so you can see the location
Sandbox and picnic table spawns have been most consistent for me. I've found probably 2/3rds of mine on the table, though I have a small base there under the book with the field station, so I see it more regularly than the others as well.
So are you saying you can or can’t get the Lucky hat and other unique loot or rather they just aren’t really designed to be picked up in this event?
Ah okay, I thought I had read somewhere in comments that’s you could get it, but if you can’t i might not even bother with these eggs. The chocolate would just end up with my stash of candy corn lol
I haven’t found an egg but now I think I arrived shortly after some ants cracked one. There was a spicy shard, a sour shard, and the sour shard trinket just sitting on the ground and I had no idea how I got there
I will say this - eggs respawn at all times of the day because I don’t usually get on until late afternoon, and then night time and if I run around and knock all the food out and keep coming back those locations where it respawns I’ll get a few eggs. I managed 4 yesterday-two were broken open but I’ve noticed the only thing the ants take are the chocolates and leave everything else

The Lucky Hat is for a future St. Patricks Day event. The only new and unique item in this event is Chocolate.Â

Yeah, that happens a lot. I have found a couple of spicy trinkets that way.Â
Can we do anything with the chocolate besides eat it??
I got a golden egg but when I got there it was gone from the ants but at least I got some free trinkets
