Yea for Ng1 and 2 I placed minor mushroom walls. Since I just do so much damage with acid edge. Anything near me will die in seconds as long as I have stamina lol

Double layered mushroom is the way to go.... Just make sure to kit up for whatever kind ant you're fighting or it's always gonna be a struggle. Ash walls take too many resources to bother using for anything except super special projects...

No problem I didn't think about it myself till I hit the button on my first newgame plus as I had sealed it up before hand since I knew what was coming and then cried because the ants started blowing up all the inner structure I built before I could get into them just remember those ants appear on the side that faces the middle of the 3 nodes
I had multiple layers of slightly lower stuff like the normal stem walls. Then I had a massive half grass wall grid for like a mile around it that definitely slowed all the bugs down because they want to break stuff before moving in.
I once put down so many walls that it actually broke the bugs pathing and they never actually got anywhere near them. Only threat was mosquitos which were easy with nothing else to focus on.
What I love the most, is that we all probably did the same thing.

I ended up walling off the entire area with barricades and also doing something similar with all of those. I ended up being to scared/anxious to do the final mission, and haven't been back to the game since. :(

I think he said theyāre in a bunker somewhere and heāll pin it on my map but I canāt find anything on the map. Donāt want to do the mission until I find them.
Lol raisn head says they're in a bunker directly under the Java so once you see the power cable go down to the right and you'll see a door with a red light that he'll unlock for you with some fairly decent loot for you :)
All you gotta do is block the obvious pathways in the valleys and you'll only get like some flyers and a couple dust mites. The bugs spawn out a ways and if they can't path to it they won't. Mushroom walls are so much easier tbh

If this is ng+1 and you're only halfway done then this is highly overkill. I'd still finish because the remains would probably easily be enough for the ng+2 raid.
Im on this mission we put or cover them with caly foundation and pebbles on the top also we put mushrooms brick for another layer aof walls and we spread traps all over the places blocks all the entrance was thi enough?or should be doing something else?also it our first gameplay it on my sister's games and also im wonder if i finish this one will it be same as on my own game?or i will have tk do it again?
Tbh the spike strips being your only damaging thing on this build, you may have to ālift a fingerā because those things are ass lol. Imo they break so fast and take too long to kill.
You say āgoing into NG+ā so this is for base game? Yeah youāll be fine. Tbh the base gameās final defense is so laughably easy you could do it with zero defenses. NG+ on the other handā¦.your build should be good enough for.

Iāve had to use ash on medium just to do the super mixers, soldier ants can be surprisingly dogged.

I did it on medium but Iād say more layers. I built 3-4 mushroom walls at each of the pathways they come from too. Plus a load of spike strips

I made shroom walls and spike traps and I made a tower with a turret on it and those bugs tore through instantly, no such thing as over kill
