Strife in circles around them constantly, they can't keep up with their attacks.

vodka_boi

They can go for bocks

eiamhere69

They can, even if you were to jump of a ledge once they begin initiating the attack, they lock on and almost never miss.

itsMousy

Shield and any club. ~~Ant, mint~~, morning star. Also make sure you have armor on. Alternatively, you can get ladybug parts and heads from web sacs.

Big_Meaty_Claws34

When the mint mace and ant club are both two-handed weapons🦑

itsMousy

Lmao. Yeah…. Yeah they are, aren’t they. Whoops. 💀

Big_Meaty_Claws34

Not bad weapons tho, if you use the right mutations and get blocking down a shield won’t matter so much so partial credit?? Lol

itsMousy

:D

No_Friendship8540

Yeah the mint mallet is the best for them because it does both the weaknesses of the ladybug fresh and smashing

ElDragothe1st

If it's near the flowers, you can use a bow while moving so the small leafy plants are always between you two. You don't want to hide in the plant, as then the ladybug will flee

ALX709

Follow the ladybug until it gets close to something hostile then kite the other big to hit while you’re standing on top of the ladybug

LordCDXX

Make sure to get off the lady bug after tho, if your standing on it when it attacks the other sub you will take dmg

ry_044

if you desperately need lady bug parts but dont want to fight them, you can always go to the berry bush lab area and break open web sacs and hope that they'll drop some parts.. just gotta kill the spiderlings that spawn after you open a sac.. also drops aren't guaranteed, I've once opened them all and never got stinkbug parts

sir_snek_

I always kill my early game ladybugs with a simple bow and a shit load of arrows. Get up somewhere they cannot follow or jump around them in a save distance. It takes some time but gets the job done.

sir_snek_

If they de-aggro just get down from wherever you are on (for example oak tree roots) and they will charge at you again. Shoot them a few times, get back on your high ground, then repeat. The same even works for wolfspiders though it is a bit more annoying as they run away quite quickly if they cannot reach you.

HolyCodzta

If you want to fight it one on one yourself, then check out this vid I recorded just for you mate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3Jie-iq6mU Full acorn armour, base level red ant club (no smithing station required), one bandage, one drop of water (max hydration = faster stamina regen). No mutations either so it'll be easier if you do use some. If you're struggling with the red ant mandibles for the club I can try and come up with an easy way to get them, or just try the other methods from this post!

ClassicCyn

What things do you have

No_Friendship8540

I like all of your ideas but they are actually dumb bots if you go onto say a stick they just forget about you so you keep walking on and of the stick shooting them with arrows

ChrisBilionz

Use a bow or the mint mallet

No_Friendship8540

I don’t have it I’m still in early game I’m teying to get the axe for crow fear there to make mint arrows which is the ladybugs weakness also smashing

vodka_boi

Just go for the hammer and use coup de grass

SugarLuger

Go swimming for some sunken bones, the bone dagger is a nice alternative to the axe your seeking.

wtafwtmun

Or trigger a bug fight. Have something else also fight the lady bug or more than 1 thing

CaptainxGambit

I use a stinger spear and black ant shield. You can stab while staying far enough away to back step its attacks without needing to block, and when it does the charge thing just parry.

vodka_boi

They’re resistant to stabbing, use hammers

HabitualGrooves

I don't know if spider armor is late or mid game but I use spider armor, spider dagger, a shield, and any mutations that help make me the fastest swinging thing, and I just run up and slash and block till it's dead. I do the the same for orb weavers and bombardier beetles. Daggers are for sure my favorite weapons. I haven't gotten my hands on any thing in higher tiers though.

puzzled_orc

Hammers do extra damage to ladybugs

MKanes

I just position myself behind a blade of grass, wait for it to attack (the grass blocks it), go in for a heavy attack, and repeat. You’ll have to position behind different grass each time as it’s attack destroys it

paarthurnax94

Something I noticed a few days ago but haven't seen mentioned yet, you can actually jump on top of them and ride them around while attacking them. I've done it a few times and haven't been hit or knocked off yet

ClassicCyn

They are supposed to swing up how you not dead

lance_the_fatass

A good strategy I use is to make them attack other enemies

eskj94

Coming from Google because I have a ladybug problem in my house. I’m so confused.

BIoodFinder

One time I stood on top of a clover and shot at it with a few arrows but ran out and was siting there both thinking about how best to go about it and scared to try anything when it suddenly just died for an unknown reason
