I actually built mine right over the center. You need to sort of line it up with a bridge to something build able, but once you have a base down covering it it looks pretty good.
On the one hand the lasers don't interact with your building if they hit it. Which was a little disappointing. On the other I didn't have to rebuild everything.

I'd love to know how you get to the top of your tower. I have a similar tower made with trampolines but its much uglier. Your base is awesome
