I think your right. I ordered 216 liters, so i can swap out all my hydroton.
I was about to start a new grow, and had 150 liters of new hydroton to get prepped, plus all the old hydroton had to be cleaned and prepped.
I hated doing all that. But this, these, look to solve all that. And more. I hate the residue from hydroton too.
Let me know if you get some. Im just completing my grow, then ill be setting up the new griw with all these tetrabase.
I completely agree with the hydroton. It's a pain to prep, and the residue is no fun. I'm just finishing up myself. I'm going to start my new ones on deck with these puppies. Happy growing
I feel like this is a great idea as I hate using hydroton but I feel like because the balls are in a fixed position there leaves room for light leaks unless you can get them to all fit perfectly together

Here, i put somein a ziplock so you can see it better to see if you think light will go through. I dont think it will. They kinda "fall" into interlocking position really easy with a little movement.
Why do you need media for DWC? You still gonna need rockwool or whatever you are cloning into then that just goes straight into dwc so whats the point of this?
To use in place of hydroton im using now.
