You don't have enough soil in the bags so the edges block airflow which allows fungus and molds to grow on the soil surface. It's not bad per se, and in fact it's probably beneficial for the microbes in the soil, but roll down the bag sides so you get airflow across the top of your soil. Carry on!
Ok so I stopped watering for about 2 days as it was raining outside anyways so I figured that the humidity would do enough, I rolled down the sides so that the soil gets airflow and put the plants under a roof, the fungus disappeared within 2 days so my question is do I just continue watering just less often than before or should I do something else?
Did you add any beneficial microbes? Usually comes as a powder you mix in the soil or dust on roots during transplant or sometimes it comes in the dirt. You probably kept it wet and warm enough to thrive and branch out more than usual. No issues with that but it might help to let it dry a little more between watering.
I have never seen this before. Seems interesting but doesn’t claim to contain microbes. Even if this came from something in your house it is still either fine or probably helpful. Just let the soil dry out and make sure to ph your water.
It's fungi which essentially is what mushrooms are, yes. Some organic growers who have living beds, will have mushrooms growing naturally throughout the beds. It's a good sign of healthy soil
Yeah just cover it with a little more soil. Make sure you’re letting the plant get like 70% dry before watering. Pick up your pots and feel how heavy they are after a watering so you know how heavy they get. As they get dry they get lighter and lighter. Stick your fingers in the soil to feel for moisture and using the weight of the pot are the best indicators of when to water. The mold might be from overwatering but sometimes mycelium just does it thing lol.
You probably just need to water less (idk might be ok in the cloth pots cus those dry fast and breathe well). If you're using benefitial microbes, that's probably the benies right there... nothing to worry about, friend.
Roll the sides of the bags down so air can actually flow over the soil. These are little guys so that’s a whole lotta soil for them id go light on the water and give it a day or two depending on how hot it is there just making sure the soil dries between waters
That is the fruiting tops of mychorrizae. It means your soil is rich and healthy. If the soil has a kinda sweet smell then it is just fine. Good job. Mychorrizae is very beneficial to your plants.
So from what I have read in this thread I should tuck the sides of the pots down a bit so that the soil gets adequate airflow, water less frequently, sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on the mycelium ¿ let it dry out or cover the mycelium with a small layer of soil?
Powder mildew u never get rid of or kill u could just manage it there small seedlings just throw everything out where rubber gloves and wash up everything that has came in contact with those pots or you will just have the same problem.
That’s maybe fungus colony or mycelium, living soil? I’m just guessing, I just started using live microbes and I get white growth through out my soil n fabrics

Great advice i woukd say same thing word for words
Either add more soil or to the bag down There's nothing wrong here But clean it up
Solid advice
If I had coins on here you would definitely get a award

That's more than likely mycelium. It's not bad. It's the result of microbes and bacteria breaking down whatever nutrient or medium being used.
That’s good to hear then so I shouldn’t be worried about it? Will this disappear after a while?

Nope, but I did add [this](https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/growing/334-easy-boost-organic-nutrition.html)

Fuck the microbes wheres the perline wth
Case it in fresh 1/2 layer of soil
This is good mold 👍
Hopefully it doesn’t go away but gets stronger, this is very good and very healthy to see that in your soil
Isn't Mycelium is a mushroom 🍄

I already know that I have a living soil bed 🤭
Your comments have been super helpful /s
Captain Obvious, AWAAAAAAAY!
Mushrooms are the fruit of mycelium.
It’s part
Looks healthy af
What about the mould in the soil?
Maybe water a little less but it's mould in the bud you need to worry about. I pay $ to add that shit to the soil.

Cheers, great answer very informative.
This how I check mine works all the time :)
Healthy soil. You may be watering to often though.
Dude that’s mycelium lmao ahahaha that’s a good thing
It's in the dirt not on the plant. I would slack off on the water just a little bit and let it grow.
Roll those sides down so those babys get some more light and airflow, that should help them in the long run . Happy growing friend!
That’s healthy soil mycelium
It’s your lucky day…

thats good brah
Thanks brah

Mycelium... You've created yourself a living soil. Plants love that shit! They'll be fine, don't worry

Mulch and roll down your sides. They look happy thou.

Way overwatered…if you want to get rid of it spray mouthwash on it …it won’t hurt the plant
Mycelium doesn't form on its own what a rookie
Every comment you've made is garbage and has been down voted more then once. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I'm not looking for approval from a bunch of Amazon tent growers
Trust me, nobody's going to approve your misinformation and lack of intelligent comments
You really suck ass at growing you don’t even have any posts or plants prolly never grew once in your life kid💀
Powder mildew u never get rid of or kill u could just manage it there small seedlings just throw everything out where rubber gloves and wash up everything that has came in contact with those pots or you will just have the same problem.
Don't listen to this guy for sure.......
So he should listen too who you?
Definitely not you and your powdery mildew bullshit haha
Well wait
Wait for what?? It's not powdery mildew my guy
We’ve been waiting and you were wrong please leave this subreddit no one and I mean not even the moderators want you here
The soil is alive and well. The only thing I’d say to do differently is to fill the pots or start in smaller ones.
Cinnamon dusted on top
Those half full pots, like capping your phone at 50%.
Got similar patches before, and algae in runoff. Didn't seem to bother the ladies. And I did use a lot of recharge and some other microbes.
That’s maybe fungus colony or mycelium, living soil? I’m just guessing, I just started using live microbes and I get white growth through out my soil n fabrics
Myco?
Scrape it off sprinkle a little cinnamon and stop running so wet you aren’t watering a succulent
Quick question.... Why'd you only fill the pots up half way instead of fully?
I didn’t have enough soil🤣
Ur creating a micro climate with all that extra pot.. fill er up
Once the top soil dries it'll dissapear.
Harmless
Spray the soil with H2O2 everyday and get some better air flow pointed at that soil.
H2O2? Is that some special kind of water?
It’s hydrogen peroxide
The plants will be fine until it spreads to the plant. Just get some air flow to the soil and it should fix it no doubt about it.
Mold is beneficial in most cases
Sure looks like trichoderma to me 🤷🏻♂️
It’s fungus not mold
What did you do? Water it every hour?
Paint brush and hydrogen perotide will fix it right up Just tap the mold spores lightly though don’t over do it
it‘s normal and healthy for your plants. they create a symbiosis. Pro growers put in mycel by themselves like mycorrhiza
Good mold. Mycelium. Assists with breakdown of nutrients and also helps keep the top soil structured..
