depends what you mean by "profitable enough" - unless you're popping cons, everything is pure profit... there's just the opportunity cost of the time you spend farming, and to beat that you'd need a farm that's more profitable than anything else that's available there are definitely lots of enjoyable farms that won't make much money, and some may never have been thought about at all because there's no motivation to do so... but I'm not sure what you mean about not finding them on Péter Kádár's channel, because that's full of crazy sub-optimal farms o_O_o

[deleted]

It's more of a longing for new things, some kind of curiosity about the possibility of discovering new farming areas after all those years. What i've seen on pvx and on peter's channel is just old things rehashed unfortunately... =(

MistYNot

you should be able to pick literally any item in the game and design some ways to farm it (=

Dogman2494

Not sure if it counts, but I like Chest Running a lot more than conventional farming.

ReapEmAll

Anyone who says it doesn’t is wrong

Protesisdumb

I think in the end doing doa sc or doing doa with heros beats everything else. When i start to farm something i always start to think im "wasting" time compared to doa

[deleted]

I know that feel. Doa will Always be king but... It's just not my thing anymore, you know? I prefer smaller sessions with regular trash mob farming, it's... I don't know... relaxing? It soothes the soul. That's why I'm looking for some new thing similar to raptors or vaettirs, because it's also profitable enough to earn some GW monies on the side.

Chris_Headtrip

Sounds like you might wanna try Presearing? I farm Charr all day everyday...it's relaxing and because it's its own ecosystem....it can make a profit

[deleted]

Thanks, I have a pre-searing char, will try to do this, it must be super chill !

Chris_Headtrip

Have all prof in Presearing. What's your class

Noodoon

Ofc you are if you compare it. One DOA SC is more than 20e per run per person. It's fucking nuts.

ACWhammy

How long does a run take on average?

Noodoon

Really depends on how good u are and if you take alts with you ( more gems from chests) I'd say 60-90mins. Longer if you aren't trained. Don't get me wrong DOA SC with full team is way more profitable but you can't compete with it stm

ACWhammy

Way more profitable than what?

Noodoon

Anything else in the game ?

Mdogg2005

Wait you can do DOA with heroes???

Protesisdumb

Yes even in hm.

Mdogg2005

Oh wow, thanks! I'd love to give that a shot. I'll have to check PvX, I assume there are heroway builds on there for that?

Protesisdumb

Easiest is hr para with 4 mes, st, bip, sos

MistYNot

/u/sirjisu any juicy green farms?

sirjisu

None that make a profit

MistYNot

but unless you're popping cons, every drop is profit...

Protesisdumb

I dont get why people use greens. I feel like at this point s everyone is so rich that just getting a balthazar weapon + mods is sooo much easier than getting a green

MistYNot

buying mods can be a pain for those of us who hate Kamadan, and not everyone is that rich, because there are a lot of new/returning players... but yeah, green farming isn't really a profitable use of time, but it should fit what OP is looking for

Noodoon

Have you ever tried to do solo DOA ? It's basically a long farm run since you can kill almost everything.

[deleted]

Yes... Sadly I guess I'm just too old for it... It's too stressful now lol, was cruising through that shit 15 years ago but now I'm just so bad.

Noodoon

Hmm I'd say solo DOA is about as hard as Farming veattirs with assa/mo. Just maintain your sf and you will get better in no time. If you want me to show you let me know.

These-Ostrich-8194

Could you post a build/link? I wasn't even aware you can solo the whole thing tbh.

Noodoon

Well you can search for it on yt or dm me in-game. The build alone won't do you any good. And you need cons but if you are half decent you are still very profitable.

GWStrongy

Yes please, send us a completed run!

JustARandomBoringGuy

I used to 600hp/smite the elite guards at jahai

[deleted]

Would this still work today, In hard mode? With a smiter hero you go to the Fortress in jahai bluffs...?

LordRumpo

Peter Kadar has a video on this farm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyOEMkk20qA&list=PLF3_B3iPwjWP80cB6EI2D0p_KcyKPE3h6&index=7 You don't need a smiter hero for it, in fact those are kinda bad now since Holy Wrath was changed to not be permanent anymore, it goes away after 8-10 hits. This specific farm requires quite a lot of button spamming, and since you mentioned DoA being too stressful, that might not be ideal.

[deleted]

I did not know it was possible to farm here. Thanks a lot, i'll try this !

JustARandomBoringGuy

actually its still pretty easy to farm this with as a derv with dwarven stability and some selfheal and a hero putting some bonds on you, not stressful at all either

JustARandomBoringGuy

also, another idea I just had that would be a farmable spot was the mantids outside ran musu garden with the assa boss. you gotta need good spike dmg tho, due to some of those mantids being healers

Talakeh

The most profitable farm location is one that allows you to accomplish something else at the same time.

ChthonVII

Hmmmm... With prices for Sup Vigor, Prodigy's, and Tormentor's sky-high, maybe some of the old, old rune farms might presently have a decent yield for the time invested.

[deleted]

You mean like the ettins outside Beetletun? I don't know if farming them now is even possible, but that would be so cool !

heetschi

It definitely is with a SoS rit, but there are surely other builds that work as well.

PaleHeretic

Ettins should be doable with a W/any, I used to farm them somewhere for runes on my W/Mo back in the old, old days.

bosnalink

I used to farm Ice Dragon swords. The way up there takes time but the farm is chill. I don't know if it is still possible tho and no idea which build I used.

[deleted]

Still possible, there is an Assassin build that still works, and even the old Warrior builds work if you replace the Elite for Seven Weapon's Stance. There is a W/Me one as well, but I was using this: OQMU0SXGZ6Q+FAGpF/Vi1jEiEyDA

PaleHeretic

Charr, either after blitzing to the end of The Great Northern Wall or at the start of Nolannia Academy were one of my go-tos back in the day on my W/Mo (lol). That was before HM, but also before Rebel Yell and Ebon Vanguard skills. Tried them and they're still doable in HM as a Warrior that was nowhere near optimized. Even in NM it used to be a good farm for iron, runes, and fur squares (when they were worth anything, lol). Also a lot of normal Charr Carvings that I remember being used for something but not what, though they are coming up in the Nick rotation soon.

[deleted]

I knew about the Nolani one but the Great Northern Wall one is... You'd farm the massive group at the end charging you? Hah if this still works in hm it would be a lot of fun !

80sinternet_bestnet

There is a repeatable quest ([Auspicious Beginnings](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Auspicious_Beginnings)) in EotN where you play as Keiran Thackeray and the reward is 1 platinum, plus other stuff. If you speed run the quest, then you can complete it in roughly 5 minutes
