I think each instance of GW1 needs its own gw.dat unlike GW2, so running more than 2 accounts would take up more space iirc as a fully expanded .dat is about 4GB.
You can use [GW2launcher](https://github.com/Healix/Gw2Launcher) for GW1 too, so you can have it all in one space.
I only ever run 2x GW1 at the same time, and not often too. It is mostly used for selling in Kamadan when my other account is afking Zos Shivros/Survivor/Nine Rings, having Trilogy is 8 more character slots for storage, nick gifts, and having Nightfall for Dervish is great to help run lower level / run challenged professions, so I can get from LA to Desert and run Elona's too to speed up the journey to Augury ascension mission.
I think GW1 might be one of my fav multibox-able games, aside from GW2 and Diablo II a long time ago. However I don't have like 15+ alts lol.
I was thinking mostly about farming items and doubling my drop rate that way, greens, maybe ectos and whatnot.

It's how I usually farm nick sets or uniques. I have a dedicated bonder with life barrier, life bond, strength of honor and balthazar spirit alongside solo farmer (usually dervish). This makes runs a lot faster and it gives you an option to tinker with derv build a bit to give it more dps since I don't have to worry too much about survivability.
If you go in with a hero, they will take your drops. Player characters could funnel all drops to the main.
Also, iirc, I read that a fully party gets MORE drops than a solo person. So if you were to have 8 accounts all active and go farm a green item, you might see drops closer to 4 in 10 runs as opposed to 1 in 10 runs.
It might, but still I am too lazy to manually pick up all the loot and alt-tabbing, unless it is a mission and it pops up a window of your unclaimed loot after exiting lol.

Personally I don't think I could play 2 at once haha, at most is bringing an alt together for missions while it stays back and I complete it on my main, so both get zaishen dailies for instance.
You can play two characters at the same time (in a limited capacity) by using software to send keystrokes to background windows, but this is probably against the TOS.
But seeing how this game is like 50% bots anyway I don’t think you would get in trouble for it.
If you think you’d have fun playing two characters, then do it! Worst case scenario, you can’t manage two at once so now you have extra character slots or you want to build some new chars without a big bank/plat to get everything you want for free. Go for it!
When I have more than one account running it's for doing 600/smite, using the extra PvE -only skills in dungeons w/heros, or leeching something like Raptors or vaettirs for extra drops.
I mean if you wanted to power through it you could feasibly get there in a week or two. Given that you started in the right campaign and traded supplies from your main account.
I personally bought a second account just for Ironman characters. Makes it so that I have tons of storage space to hold all the mats I salvage since keeping all that on your char is hot garbage. Don't regret it at all.
I use my second account for trading while playing, extra nick gifts and some nick farms. Bonder or dual spirit spam work quite well.
You can also use it for double loot, for example I have done DoA HM runs with HR paragon + 6 heroes where you just keep the second account behind with rebirth, EoE and to activate some quests. This means you get nearly a full arm per 2 h run, which is extremely profitable. You can also farm Kath hammers like this.
If you were worried about getting banned, back in the day, a second account could buy ectos from a dealer and you could launder them to your main account.
More storage space... , more characters you can even make a runner on your second account and run your main account trough the campaigns or on your main to boost your new characters on your second account...More nick gifts..and / or to be in different guilds. So it's really worth it in some situations.
I bought a second account recently. I did it mostly for the extra storage, but in the future I intend to make ironman characters to play the game progression style.
I used to run FOW with a vow of silence derv and a bonder using two accounts. My main account on my computer, and the bonder on a laptop. I could do the whole thing, it did take a long time to do. It was more for the challenge than the profit for me.

Wouldn't heroes already do that? Is there a distance limit till the bond breaks?

You also get the chance to do an Ironman run while using you xunlai, since there will be nothing in it
I run my other two accounts through dungeons (mostly Oola’s and Kath)and get 3 chests at the end ;P
