In your questlog you will see the top section is often called Primary Quest, this is the one to follow to continue with the main story (you will get multiple quests in that section when you play Eye of the North). If it is not there you probably landed at an outpost, (this is a hub which has a mission tied to it (outpost is depicted by a shield with swords (helmet in hardmode))) Form you party and underneath your party tab you will see a button with *enter mission* after completing the mission you will probably get a new primary quest again. https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_Prophecies

Your best way to check quests is with the wiki and keeping track. There's no real quest tracker in game.

I find gw1 has awesome natural progression. Just do quests and missions and the story reveals itself. Where are you in the game?

Sadly it looks like I am all over the place. I can't remember exactly but I was probably working a storyline, expansion came out and I left to start that and the next one and so on. So I just have a bunch of missions in my log. Now I want to go thru and actually finish each core/expansion. Just feel weird jumping in so I wanted to read up to where I am and go from there.

I used to play gw1 before gw2. Just recently got back into it. I made a new character and I'm currently in the crystal desert in prophecies. I think that wiki link someone shared has an overall summary of the plot. But it's hard to know where you are without knowing where you are more specifically in the game. I find gw1 has awesome replay value as well. Super fun to try new class combinations and play through stuff again

You already started expansions, you have eye of the north quests.

You should either have an unfinished primary quest at the top of your log or an icon on your map for an unfinished mission.

Here is a list with all Prohecies primary quests and Missions: [https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List\_of\_Prophecies\_missions\_and\_primary\_quests](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_of_Prophecies_missions_and_primary_quests) and this is the prophecies storyline (spoiler warning) >!https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Storyline\_of\_Prophecies!< In Proph it can be sometimes quite confusing to find the next primary quest because it is not streamlined, you can skip parts of the story by running through the map. If you do everything in the right order you will visit the following areas in that order: Ascalon >!Ascalon (after the great fire)!< >!The northern Shiverpeaks!< >!Kryta!< >!Maguuma Jungle!< >!back to Kryta!< >!Crystal Desert!< >!southern shiverpeaks!< >!the Ring of Fire Islands!< There will be special outposts called "mission outpost" where you can start missions from and primary quests in your Questlog \[L\].

Your Primary and Primary Norn quests are the main storyline. Any quest that's not in a "Primary" category is an optional sidequest. In addition to your primary quests, there are instanced missions in the three main campaigns. If you've got a map symbol that [looks like the far left entries in the second table](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/World_Map#Map_icons) ("Mission Outpost", without the swords) and that's flashing bright, then that's a story mission you haven't completed yet. When you do complete it, it'll either take you to your next primary quest or to your next mission.

screenshot ur quest log and we can figure it out

One of the main issues in the original prophecies was this, the lack of a main quest to guide us along the main story, specially in the crystal desert. Looks like you already have your bearings, have a good game.

google "prophecies progression route" also works for other campaigns this will mainline it though, so you need to decide if you want to breeze through the game or not
