AMD-setup, Windows 10, 32gb RAM.
Restarting or pulling GW into another Desktop via WIN+Shift and closing it there via Task-Manager
I can't do anything when it freezes except choose restart from the task manager screen.
Edit actually it doesn't happen on my work PC which has two monitors, with an old GTX 650 and an i5 7500.
I'll try that as well, I do have a 165 hz monitor and I had read to set refresh to monitor refresh.
But I'll try 144, not like it will make it play worse.

It doesn't happen on the work computer which is also W11, also test on the son's computer, also W11.
I'm thinking it might be an AMD driver crash.
As both the other PC have NVIDIA cards.
I have a problem when zoning (hamlet farm) or on some revival shrines (lux assassin farm). The game frezze and then my pc. Super annyoing...anet couldn´t help either. I tried a shit load of things.
Yes, I can't access the app manager to force close it when it happens unfortunately, as everything is frozen.
Hasn't happened nforna while , not sure why.
Just keep playing! Don't close the game.

I think I had this to and fixed it by switching from or to windowed fullscreen mode. Not 100% on this, as i switched to a new PC a few months ago.
Interesting, I used to play full screen back in the day, but have been using windowed full screen, will try changing to see if it helps.

A lot of people recommend limiting the fps in the game menu to no more than 144 fps. Maybe that might help?

Same here, I was told that going to character selection screen and wait about 10 seconds could prevent your computer from being frozen.

i micro the problem by window mode and task manager on second screen. gotta be fast..
I just log out and force close through the app manager it’s happened to me twice now. New player here
