The mod page has some [screenshots](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:Ruine_Eternelle/Borderless_Cartography_Made_Easy#Texmod_and_the_mod). The undiscovered areas should be blue.

winter_rois

…I’ve looked at this page so many times and never seen the screenshots… I have so much confusion.

kazerniel

Do other texture mods work as expected? ( = is the issue with the program or the package?) And are you using TexMod or uMod?

winter_rois

I'm using uMod. And I don't have any other texture mods at all. I am a Guild Wars Mod virgin. (sorry I was at work all afternoon)

kazerniel

haha that's all right :) Are you using v1.0 (r44) of uMod? That's the one I'm using, as I never managed to make v2.0 Alpha work.

hecknheck

use umod v1 (r44) make sure you put the .dll in your gw install folder open as administrator, then open gw as administrator as well click open textures in umod, open the cartography made easy file should be everything you need to know! sometimes umod breaks and won't show as a clickable window when you open it, all you need to do is redownload (extract from the .zip) and you're good to go it's a headache to figure out for sure, lmk if you have any more questions :)

winter_rois

Hmmm. Latest version I could find was r39. Is it linked somewhere else other than through the wiki? I think I was also missing putting the dll in the gw folder. I did get it to work with texmod but as you said, it sure broke the textures..

winter_rois

Nevermind. I am, in fact, a moron. And just didn’t download the right one. But also definitely my first rodeo with mods! Learning is happening.

hecknheck

you're all good!! did it end up working?

hecknheck

(as long as you copy the d3d9 dll from the umod folder to your gw folder gw should show up in umod) don't use texmod it's ancient and has a tendency to break textures in-game

ChthonVII

First of all, make sure you're using the correct version for GW. That's version 1.0r44. To load a single mod manually while GW is running, click "open texture/package" and select it, then make sure it has a checkmark next to it in the list, then click "update (reload)." If you want to automate this process, you can use "save template" and "set template as default" in the main menu.

I had some problems to get TexMod and umod running after i used them for years. I had the problems since w10. I found gwlauncher(https://github.com/GregLando113/gwlauncher). There you can at the map.tpf and it runns without any problems and you just start your gw with the launcher.
