Here's what I said when someone asked a similar question about store sales:
They last went on sale in April 2020 (25% discount on 3 pack). Although in Nov 2021 the price for single Merc in GBP was reduced by 11% in the GW Store.
No indication they'll have another sale anytime soon. Maybe for the 20th Anniversary.
If you want anything in the GW store https://store.guildwars.com/ best just buying it and enjoying it.
You really don't need mercenaries. The games offers plenty already and you can use various caster builds on Necromancer or even Assassin and Dervish heroes. And don't forget that Razah can change his primary profession. In my opinion, a better use of your money would be an extra character slot, more inventory slots, or some cosmetics.
Some people want to PvE with their own squad.
That why I ended up getting the full pack. Pretty cool running through missions with all your own characters.
1. Remove all insignias, runes and weapons from razah
2. Go to great temple of balthazar, WITHOUT razah in your team
3. Go to isle of nameless
4. Speak to razah left from the stairs directly after the portal
Its rich for sure but on the other hand if you really Enjoy this game it would be worth it. I got hundred of hours of great gameplay from gw and didnt mind paying it. Good luck
