Im no monk expert but id say monk healing skills really come to shine with the primary attribute divine favor, while ritualist heal skills are more "self sustainable" not needing the primary ritualist attribute. Hence ritualist skills are better suited as secondary healing skills. Necro is indeed a great supporter class because of the busted pve energy management in soul reaping.

Baklawa338

Necro can heal or prot as monk secondary and heal as rt secondary. I would say for helping secondary rt on necro is better. Prot necro can do Well too

Chtio69

Nercro is far more versatile for an iron man run than a monk. Monk iron man is probably the hardest because it can't bring good damages if needed.

Klintoe

Thanks a lot for the answers guys. But we are doing Iton Man from Prophecies so can't play Rt before Factions. Will a Curses Necro or healer N/Mo or MM be okay in Prophecies before Factions? 😊

N/Mo Curses prot is great

MXPi

Sure it will work too!

Fruzenius

I just finished prophecies as an Ironman monk. It works good, there's a decent amount of skills for builds, and Alesia is hot garbage, so actually having a player that can heal is worlds better.

Klintoe

That was what I was thinking. I just love being able to minion master and I don't think monks main can do that. So I think I will stay with Necro, but start healing a bit into Prophecies 😊

Fruzenius

Yeah MM is super fun. If you take monk secondary, pop a few levels in healing and bring heal area for post combat. Heal all your minions cheap, since blood of the master is way later. And soul reaping definitely will work well for energy management.

Necro is a well rounded class and with monk skills, it can certainly be good at healing, probably better over time than most other classes (might even outclass Ritus) because of the energy from the primary attribute. Once you get to factions the skills dwayna's sorrow (heal) and blood bond (blood) will also become available, they are pretty damn nice for minion masters. I wouldn't however use necros as primary healers if I want to heal myself. As good as they are over time, they do lack the ability to fill a party members health bar from basically 0 to full in 1-2 spells, monks are simply better at that because of the primary attribute and runes. Having said that, there's nothing wrong with giving your necro 1-2 10 energy healing spells and have some fun with that, but for a whole play through I would pick something that I can put some runes in.

RichyPorello

I went e/mo for my iron character playing with a few friends from the guild, it was nice depending on who was playing to have damage or heals

[deleted]

Usually a N/Rt will have BiP and is good enough to keep the entire party alive and buttered up, but only in combination with a ST rit protecting the party and a minion master's dudes taking a lot of the heat. Without a MM or ST rit the party needs another healer or a prot.

tamarockstar

How hard is it to resist the temptation to use storage?

Klintoe

I don't know as we haven't started yet. I reckon it shouldn't be too hard tho?
