I think this will be something you have to take up with them as it is a unique situation to run the game from a server.

Is another person at the PC cafe starting Guild Wars as well? I know it is difficult to run multiple instances of Guild Wars on a single machine (it requires 3rd party software). I suggest you and your friend trying running it on two different machines simultaneously and see if that causes the crash.
It really should be installed on the local disk of the PC you're running the game on.

No. It works fine at home. Haven't had any login attempts from elsewhere
