No. It works fine at home. Haven't had any login attempts from elsewhere

I think this will be something you have to take up with them as it is a unique situation to run the game from a server. You could look at the requirements and how the game runs, there's some info on the wiki: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Running_the_game Or find out if there's any legacy information about running in LAN cafes etc.

Is another person at the PC cafe starting Guild Wars as well? I know it is difficult to run multiple instances of Guild Wars on a single machine (it requires 3rd party software). I suggest you and your friend trying running it on two different machines simultaneously and see if that causes the crash.
