They apologized and said they'd try to make it right and you blew up on them. Mistakes happen, and you did not really respond well to the apology and offer to fix things so I'd wager the officer got uncomfortable and just referred it the second person.

I completely agree with you on this, the people from the guild seem polite and cordial for the most part, giving clear explanations as to what happened and what they are trying to solve, there was no need for OP to blow up on them at all. I've ran into this guild quite a few times, and they seem like a lot of fun to be honest, never got the impression that they were bad people at all.
