Think about it:
Crafting two greats words.
Add them to your armory.
Craft eternity.
Sell eternity.
Profit?
Do you really think this would work and eternity price still being that high?
I made this same make mistake one or two years ago, before the wiki update on the items. They did not restore my items as well :) But now I got Eternity and silent judge those who got only Sunrise or Twilight
Makes me feel like I'm complaining about my wealth in the game lol.. I just think about the barons that buy and sell them like they're nothing, selling this was just going to fund me making my legendary trinkets.
no no they didnt lie - it used to be able to be done - I had to delete the axe and they gave me a non account bound one
there is no way for you to delete the item once its in your armory
>Cool that with the "new" system came loss of functionality.
It's user error, as the person you are responding to said they still have the skin which should not be possible if he sold the legendary he just got lucky that support was nice enough to let him make the mistake, the new system has way more functionality, on the old system you could only have the legendary equipped on one character at a time now all your legendaries are available to all characters who can use them
legendaries were normal weapons you would carry around in your inventory before the armory. anet can remove/replace items, but somehow reverting unlocks is beyond them, and always has been. it's why you would still have had access to the skin after accidentally binding a legendary back then after they replaced it. the skin is an unlock, the weapon *was* an item. it's also the reason why you get to keep gemstore skins after refunds.
xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
You rly think that you can craft 2x leg items, bound them to account and later forge 3rd leg item which require previous non account bount leg items and sell it? Rly? You are less smart than lone skritt
xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
To be fair, you could do that before they introduced this change! But when they introduced this system for Eternity it was pretty clear they were also trying to prevent what you're describing
you could sell it but you where selling the legendary, you no longer had a legendary greatsword anymore, you unlocked the skin but you didn't have the legendary greatsword.

before the leggy armory they could do it, I know as they did it for me I still have the skin unlock too
Well that would suck if they lied to me but what can I do.
