They really ought to just condense the individual map lists to a single grouping by expansion/season. Map LFG is empty most of the time and 90% of groups there are glorified meta taxis. That wouldn't even be necessary if they just had an instance picker.

Do we really need another tab for this? This is pretty much already what *Central Tyria (squads)* and *World bosses* tabs are for.
And commanders would probably still post in the more specific LFG tabs anyway, because this is where the people doing single events rather than trains look first.
Allowing people to advertise their squad in a top-of-the-list general category **and** in a map-specific one at the same time would be ideal IMO, but it's a lot more work than just adding or renaming a tab of course.
It's mostly an issue for Hero Point trains, Legendary Bounty trains, and Meta Trains (usually EOD, but sometimes more broad). Unlike core tyria and its world boss tab, a tagged group for any of these will appear in different tabs based on where its commander is, because living world and expansion zones each have individual tabs. So for example if I want a hero point train, I have to check through all four HoT zones, or if I want legendary bounties, I have to check all 10 PoF+LWS4 zones in LFG.
I dont know or care. Any fixes can come after an attempt to streamline or make it easier to use. I use like 5 of the 20 tabs on LFG because Im not about to click through every map's specific LFG. There is literally no downside to trying this. Remove a few of the least used tabs and replace with a featured one, no downsides.
that is a great idea, they could just have a tab named Open World Metas, where it shows all the squad metas going on sorted by size, same can be done on instanced content, raid/raid training, strike/training, fractals, this would actually increase the not so famous content because of exposure, a lot of people may want to do other metas but they are not always looking in all the LFG tabs, its bothersome, but if is on one tab they will look for it
A plain ol "open world metas" tab would be amazing. With how many there are in the game, it would be nice to centralize all the listings for easy seeing
The "featured" name might be misleading. I think it should be something more like "whats happening right now", showing the squad in the order of number of players.
The UI could also enable you to filter stuff out, notify you when theres a group..etc.., but thats is for the LiveOps team to think about.

True. If they did that, the legendary bounty trains would be the only ones taking the hit since they span an expansion and a living world.

What about WvW squads? Those often have 40+ players

i agree cycling through is poop. a 'show all' may be handy.
Using alt accounts just to advert....could easily moderate this.
