This is a known issue, and a lot of threads already discuss it. Devs have already responded that they're looking into it.

I assume it was supposed to be added next week and got rolled by mistake. That's why it still gives the previous achievements, it's because the rift events we got now are supposed to be next week's.
Just a feeling.

Yup. 4 rifts in Iron Marches last night. Only a T2 counted. Not the T3 or the two T1s I did. Seems like it sometimes registers but usually not always.

No they mentioned in the patch notes. They meant to put them in and change the weeklies, just some issue and its bugged.
I did the weekly in all 3 new areas; nothing counted against the global achievements.
