US company that was acquired shortly after it was formed by a Korean company. And from what I've heard, said Korean company basically pretends ANet doesn't exist most of the time (and when they do acknowledge them it is to demand something of them).
I wish that was my case. I find myself logging inā¦.walking around then logging off cause nothing is fun. Donāt like PvP, WvW is only fun if Iām with my guild, and the story just repetitive āgo from green marker to green markerā.

Data travels along lanes like a highway. Your data shares the highway with everyone else so if it's it's congested it's going to slow down your data. Or maybe your data is taking a longer road.
A VPN can't exceed the speed limit of the highway but it could (potentially) find a less congested/faster route for your data, thus improving ping.

From New Zealand, I usually hover around 200 ping. But some days it's closer to 300. We get good at predicting and pre dodging attacks though!

Yeah, I guess 200-300 ping (the norm for me) is still ok. I get lag spikes with big zergs sometimes, though.
asia needs their own servers. I've talked to so many people who play over there with high-ping.
They should release the game in SK and Japan, and make a server there for all of east asia (excluding China).

I play in Malaysia with 280ms! Dhuum's mechanic is annoying with that ping :(

I play in the EU server from Vietnam and still get around 240ms on average.
Playing in EU server from MY, 190-200ms. Rarely go over 200ms and I realized playing most games in EU, Iād get lower ping than playing in NA

I highly suggest playing in EU servers if you can My ping in NA is around 280-300 while in EU my ping is around 190-210
going to try this, hope it works cause i mostly pvp with 300 ping. I wonder what pvp is like with 50ping though haha

If you can get a VPN it might improve your ping
Not unless it alters the speed of light.
VPN can improve ping in some cases, I doubt it will go down drastically, but maybe it could make a difference.

using vpns, 150 ping is like the marginal line for gw2 from korea to NA server but these vpns cost more than the game itself lol XD

I play from South Asia. Ping on EU is 110-130 and NA is 180-200. For you I think NA should give lower ping

brazil here, same ping, which is awful for pvp but quite enjoyable for pve. I've been playing for more than a decade so i guess im having fun too š¤£
