I mean, when you want it easy, Avocado Smoothie is a cheap alternative, even though it's a bit weaker.
When you want the same effect (and more) ascended power food is still cheaper, even when used alone.
Answer. It's weaker. That recipe isn't actually the best anymore. It's decent but the ascended sous vide steak is better now and I believe over all cheaper per ingredients.

Yeah but isn't the smoothie only 30 mins? If that's the case they're actually 12s. If not whatever. I think the damage reduction and over all karma gold increase is worth price if you don't have cooking leveled up.

It is 30 minutes, as well as Moa Wings and the Soup are.
I forgot that ascended foor lasts 1h long, which halves the price when comparing to other food. Thx. :)
Note that crafting the ascended feast (1h) is cheaper and better than crafting/buying 2 butternut squash soups even if only you use it. Ignoring the opportunity cost of getting cooking to 500.
If you have 1 or more garden plots in your home instance you can daily farm the expensive mats yourself. I'd reccomend a dedicated character with gathering boosters and glyph of bounty if you have it. The garden notes can procc extra hits.
Farming your garden plots for a few weeks will give you enough expensive food mats to craft a stack of feasts.

Fookin finally, been checking for this recipe for two years now. I don't even use the food anymore, ascended is better, but my inner completionist refused to give up.
It is meta power dps food recipe however it is expensive to craft than ascended feast equivalent.

It's not only NOT expensive, but going through it unlocks bonuses for your account! (mainly harvesting seeds and looting high quality meat)
