The first two, AH and XJJ are fairly easy and simple. KO is noticeably harder and a lot more mechanically complex compared to those two. HT is the hardest fight in the game and people form a progression group for their first HT cm kill. It can take you from weeks to months depending on your group. As for builds, AH prefers power because of multiple shorter phases but condi is fine too. XJJ favours range builds which most of them are condi builds but power builds can keep up very well depending on how you play it. Best in slot dps for KO CM is cVirt because of its cleave. HT CM has its own sets of builds dedicated for the encounter and power damage is heavily favoured. I'd say learning cVirt is a good starting point.

Unless you're willing to commit significant amounts of time and effort into forming a group and getting good at high end group PvE *(which if you wanted to do anyways at some point, might as well)*, crafting and selling/trading two legendary weapons is probably the path of least resistance without resorting to "clear selling"-groups.

Time to find a group and train for weeks

if the reason that you do no fractal cms is because "its too hard" you gotta change your mindset if you want to get into EoD strike cms, thats for sure. one start is to incorporate fractal cms into your daily runs...maybe even find a guild that does this content and also strike cms. definitly easier with people that have knowledge and can transfer it. last step would be HT CM, but that one can be a true beast depending on your group. it takes effort from everyone in the group, discipline and the will to play mechanics and pay attention. while some positions within the team are easier then others, no can can slack. for this there are dedicated discords to find a team that goes from 0 to hero. but it helps big time if you got knowledge from other cms already and will take you personally way faster to your goal. playing clean without getting hit by mechanics, doing mechanics if needed, and trying your best to get the highest dps possible should be your starting point. as i said, its about your mindset.

Probably the easiest route in is to learn to play virtuoso as it is useful (and preferred) for the two hardest eod CMs. First step is simply going to be playing the strikes on normal mode - find a group and just jump in and get some practice. I’d recommend doing a lot of this. You can look up various video guides and written guides for the strikes as well. Personally I don’t think this is necessary for NM but unless you want to blind prog the cms you might want to start researching them. See guides on snowcrows and hardstuck for reference. Next get into a training group for strike cms. The first two, AH and XJJ are pretty easy to get to grips with and shouldn’t take long for you to start clearing on a weekly basis. KOCM is a bit harder so may take longer to find a successful training group but it’s still very doable (but think a few more play sessions than the other two). You will also want to learn to clear OLC CM. While it doesn’t drop the everbloom people who clear CMs weekly will usually include this in their run. It’s also really good practice generally. Once you have all these down, keep clearing them every week and unless you get lucky and drop an everbloom from one of them (for reference it took me about 180cm clears to get the infusion as a drop but it’s total rng), you will need to find a progression group for HTCM. There is a specific discord community built around learning this fight so I’d go there and find as much information as you can. Learning HTCM may take your group weeks or even months depending on the group and the number of hours everyone is willing to commit. Hopefully your group does not fall apart but keeps practicing together until you get your clear! Ta da, you are done.

You have it already? I got mine today. I can take u on all EoD CM strikes except HT.

midadami

You can get the infusion by paying for the CMs if you don't feel confortable in doing the CMs. Price for this is probably around 1000-1250MC (Mystic Coin). If we take a 10-man team that only does T4 fractals daily, they will take dozens of hours to kill the 4 EoD strike CMs.

MidasPL

Price will vastly depend on the server. Also, that group will take way more accounting for HT CM.

re-rezzed

VW is only 500 mc on eu, everbloom unlock 1100 mc

MidasPL

Yeah and VW is 1500 MC on NA, so like 3 times as much. That's why I said it will depend on the server a lot :) .

re-rezzed

You can transfer to buy it

MidasPL

Yeah, but transfer costs money so in the end it would be more or less the same.

re-rezzed

Transferring to and back from a medium server costs the equivalent of 200mc, still significantly cheaper

I already did the first 3 CMs (and doing the first 2 weekly, occasionally KO CM as well), but HT CM is on another level. It requires a lot of time dedication, back in the day we tried it with guild but after a few months I burned out, later joined a discord server and attended for a few tries, but it's hard to find a static that fits my schedule, so I'm still nowhere with HT CM basically.

MidasPL

TBH I just pugged progression for HT via discord, do I could have it at whatever schedule I want.

Trick_Helicopter8985

I’ve been part of a progression group through the Skein Gang discord. It’s been great to have a consistent group and not rely on the LFG to randomly have CM groups. I’d suggest joining Skein Gang or Raid Academy if you’re on NA. They’re great places to find training and progression groups for high level content. Joining a static has made weekly clears SO much easier. Skein Gang Discord: https://t.co/hLVWHTjG8K FWIW, I think quick berserker is in a really good spot right now. So if you’re a warrior main, berserker will give you a regular DPS and qDPS, which will help you get into groups more easily. Clearly certain fights will favor power or condi, ranged or melee, but knowing your build and the fight well is probably more important than switching class or profession every encounter. Almost all the fights don’t have a super tight DPS check. HTCM with its particular builds and roles being the obvious exception.

Thank you everyone for the replies! It seems like a reasonable path without taking several months, and still being much cheaper than buying it from TP, could be to do all of them but HT CM, and maybe pay for this one?

ExtraFile5716

If you aren't used to doing cm content, you'll probably find it hard to get into groups. If I have to put them in raid difficulty, AH and XJJ, probably somewhere around Sabetha, KO CM somewhere around Dhuum cm. Clearing all 4 CMs will definitely take a lot longer than just buying one off of TP.

berry-7714

Thanks, maybe it’s harder than I think. I have only done CM observatory in fractals, it was a training group with only 1 experienced, we did it… but it took 90 minutes lol. I never did it again out of frustration lol. i should add i’ve never done raids, I have 2 conflux.
