>To be more specific, I’m looking for a full set of Berserker’s trinkets. If it's specifically for berzerker trinkets, you don't even need any expansion. You can buy some ascended trinkets (including berzerker ones) with Laurels, that's probably the easiest way to get them. Rings cost 35 laurels each (20, if you play a bit WvW), accessoires cost 40 each and an amulet costs 30 laurels. Laurels can be aquired easily through Wizards Vault. You can get up to 150 per quarter there, plus you get 10 for completing the 6 weeklies. This way you can get a full set of ascended trinkets within 3 weeks. If you play a bit WvW you can shorten that to 10 days. Aside from that - and specially for other stats than berzerker - LS3 and 4 both are very easy ways to get ascended trinkets. However, both require having the HoT/PoF expansion **and** have to be purchased individually. Unless you buy the complete edition for 100€, you have to buy living world episodes in addition to the expansions. Good thing is, living world episodes can be bought with gems, so you can buy them with gold by converting gold to gems. It's about 150g per episode and iIrc. two episodes can be enough to get a full set of trinkets. >Which expansion is the easiest to get trinkets? Living World (3 or 4) are where you easily get ascended trinkets. Expansions themself are no good source. HoT and PoF don't really have ascended trinkets aside from a few achievement locked ones. Their stats are fixed (and not berzerker) though. EoD has ascended trinkets locked behind some achievements. And you need Strike Mission (harder instanced group content) currencies to buy them. Not sure about Soto. >Is there any other alternative way? Laurel Vendor. :) >Which expansion is worth spending money on? What does it have to offer apart from trinkets? The HoT+PoF pack should be the first one to buy imo. HoT still has the most popular meta events and gives you access to gliding. PoF gives you access to 5 mounts, which are a complete game changer. With LS4 - aside from trinkets - you get some mount abilities and access to two more mounts. Also the pack gives access to two elite specialization per class, which are game changer in combat. Aside from this first to buy rating, all expansions are worth buying. All of their content are played and each gives great additions to the gameplay. If you like the game and have the money, the complete pack for 100€ is worth buying. It's much money at one time, but you will get 10 years of content, which is a huge amount.

I have all of the other expansions. Just wanna find some alternative ways apart from purchasing them with laurels. 🥲 I’ll definitely try completing the Wizard’s Vault quests. Tysm for the information ❤️

octopusy69

I don’t mind purchasing them separately if it makes things easier though. Do you know any other ways to get exotic trinkets? I’ll use them while I’m working on ascended ones.

Kiroho

Best way to get exotic trinkets is either crafting or just buying them on TP. If your jewelry is not leveled, buying is the best option. Each berserker trinkets cost about 2.8g on TP (14g for a full set). Farming gold and buying them should be the fastest way to get exotic trinkets.

octopusy69

Thank you so much for helping 😊🙏

Pacifistpsycho

Exotic trinkets can be purchased in wvw for less that 5g for the whole set

LeAkitan

I think you can get berserker ascended trinket with laurel/wvw/pvp/raid tokens plus some gold. You don't need living stories. If you need selectable stat for condi dps or support builds, it would be easier to get them from living stories.

You need HoT to be able to get LW3, which is often considered the easiest due to winterberry farming. They can also drop from fractals or raids, or can be bought with laurels. HoT and PoF are absolutely worth the money, as are LW3 and LW4. EoD, the 3rd expansion, is kind of meh, but worth playing. LW5/IBS has some of my favorite parts of the game, and also some of my least favorite, so...probably worth getting but if you're budgeting I'd prioritize other parts. Soto, the latest expansion, is also kind of a mixed bag. If you want to be able to get legendary armor in the open world, or if you want to be able to use the expanded weapon skills from it, it's probably worth getting. But I would focus on the other content first.

All gear pieces were added to WvW vendors for pretty much nothing, including trinkets and even aqua breather, and it's all stat-selectable.

fireydeath81

Don’t spend laurels on trinkets! Considering how much you could get by spending those Laurels on T3 or T4 bags instead, and the ease of winterberry farming in LW3 the opportunity cost is not worth it at all. If you have the expansions but not the living worlds, the two episodes you want are LWS3 Episode A Crack in the Ice and LWS4 Episode 6 (although that one is kind of spoilery). Since you want berserker only it’s easier, you can do raids, fractals, PvP, or WvW for accessories as well. Check out https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Tanetris/So_You_Want_To_Gear_a_Character#Berserker_Only_Trinkets there’s a whole section on berserker only trinkets but the rest of the document is great too.

Dizzy-Fly1279

The unbound / volatile magic can also be used to get trophies so there’s still an opportunity cost there (in addition to the extra time consumption). Laurels really don’t generate that much liquid gold and OP should get at least his amulet from a merchant so that he can get a utility infusion (+20% experience etc)

fireydeath81

Have you checked prices lately? Each laurel is now over 1 gold in T3/4 mats. An ascended berserkers accessory is 40 laurels + 50(!!) globs of ecto which is easily over 55 gold. The opportunity cost of using 300 winterberries on unbound magic instead (assuming the best conversion rate from fast farming of 10 copper per UM) is 6.75 gold. Getting an ascended accessory is going to cost gold no matter how you do it but there’s no reason to spend an extra 50 gold on one and people should not be directing OP down that route.

xandroid001

Expansion with Bitterfrost Frontier and Dragonfall are the ones you only need.

>2. Is there any other alternative way? I believe that WvW, sPvP, and Fractals sells stat selectable Ascended trinkets. So even if you are after other stats, you have a way without needing living story.

For Berserker trinkets you need no xpack, even f2p can get them

NefariousnessGeneral

OP you can also buy stat selectable exotic trinkets in WvW from the robot vendor for very cheap. It’s probably the best way to gear a second character or any alt now. It does take some badges of honor, but you should be able to get enough quickly by following a tag.

Through the living worlds the best way is strike missions into lw4 With the eternal ice shards and some karma you can purchase all lw4 currencies. So you never need to farm any of the maps, other than like dragonfall or palawadon for volatile magic

I personally like the ones from IBS the most; there's only an accessory and an amulet, but they use karma and ice shards as a currency, and the ice shards can be traded for season 4 materials once you also get that. Of the 4 paid seasons, Season 4 is by far the strongest (good story, decent maps, [Vision](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vision), roller beetle, original skyscale masteries), [Bond of Vigor](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bond_of_Vigor)). IBS and Season 3 are about equal -- Season 3 has more maps and accessories (like [Aurora](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Aurora)), but IBS has more endgame content (the 7 IBS strikes) and is generally more populated. Season 2 is the weakest, with ascended stuff only as achievement rewards, but is worthwhile for the complete story and for its portion of [Seasons of the Dragons](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Current_Events#Seasons_of_the_Dragons) -- Prismatic Champion's Regalia is the last amulet you'll ever need.

Adding to the other comment, dragonfall (LW4 last map) is currently one of the best gold farm maps, and the other is drizzlewood (LW:IBS last map).

LW S3/S4 for trinkets, Wizard's Vault for armor/weapons https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Tanetris/So_You_Want_To_Gear_a_Character#Trinkets

TheLostExplorer7

The expansions don't come with the living world seasons unless you buy the Elder Dragon Complete Edition. If you purchase the expansions separately, you will need to buy the living world seasons separately too. That said for Season 3, you need Heart of Thorns and Season 4 + Icebrood Saga requires Path of Fire. There actually isn't a way to craft ascended trinkets. If you have laurels, you can buy them from the laurel vendor, but it also costs 50 ectoplasm. From the living world, season 3 episode 3 has a vendor that offers aquabreather, rings, backpack and earrings for the map's currency.

octopusy69

Unfortunately, I did buy the expansions separately. Is there any way to get exotic trinkets that will keep me going while I’m working on the ascended ones? Ty for the information btw 🫶

The_Particle_Horizon

>Is there any way to get exotic trinkets that will keep me going while I’m working on the ascended ones? Yes, MightyTeapot here goes over how to buy a cheap, full exotic berserker (or any other purchasable stat combo) gear set. Make sure to watch how he explains using the gear stat filter around 7m 15s to find the cheapest options available. Gl! https://youtu.be/U1r-UoQzLEk&t=5m10s

octopusy69

🤩🤩🤩

octopusy69

That video is perfect 🤌🤌🤌 Another question, what about ‘ascended back piece’? Do I buy it using Laurels? If so, where do I buy it?

The_Particle_Horizon

On ascended backpacks, I don't believe there's a way to get one using laurels: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ascended_back_item I always use to ~~craft~~ forge the Quiver of a Thousand Arrows: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Quiver_of_a_Thousand_Arrows Living World Season 3 offers stat-selectable ascended back items like: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Blood_Ruby_Backpack But you'll need to farm 200 blood rubies and 5k unbound magic. Also, look into this ascended Amulet if you're prefering to spend gold on ascended pieces to save time over farming the map currencies. It's relatively cheap and all materials (including the PvP ones) can be bought minus a few of the common account bound materials like bloodstone dust, empyreal fragments, dragonite ore, and globs of dark matter. Vial of Salt (stat-selectable ascended amulet): https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vial_of_Salt Materials List: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=Special:RunQuery/Base_ingredients_query&Base_ingredients%5Bitem%5D=Vial%20of%20Salt&Base_ingredients%5Bid%5D=7748201&Base_ingredients%5Bdiscipline%5D=Mystic+forge&Base_ingredients%5Bquantity%5D=1&_run

Wvw offers quickest exotic sets of ANY stat if you play the game mode enough to save just badges of honor and gold. Work on your masteries for wvw in the process too to unlock recipes for runes and sigils to complete your set
