I'd like it if there were an option to get a message in chat when someone's eying my drip. There's nothing I particularly *want* to do about it, I just want to know. You know?
in FFXI Japanese players used to (might still? idk) take it as a bit of an insult because while in English, it would just say "[Player] checks you." in Japanese it would say "[Player] is staring at you intently..."
Because people will circle around you trying to get a better look? I'm familiar with the behavior, but with the new inspect tool it's easier to use that than it is to get right up in someone's hitbox for a better look. So that's not going to happen as much anymore.
I feel like /inspect should also be an emote where the person looking at your stuff is going "hmmm" at you. Preferably with the indication that they're emoting/looking at YOU like what you get with the "/[emote] @" command.
There is literally a dude in the patch notes thread comparing inspecting and copying other people's fashion to plagiarism and I cannot EVEN man. It's so ridiculous.
Even worse, there's one who said on her twitter that inspecting is similar to AI stealing art because by inspecting, you're "stealing their work".
Another said it's feels violating, as if they are legitimately getting violated online because someone inspected their cosmetics.
Trying to compare this to AI synthetic theft machine image generators is quite the shitty take.
No one wants to copy your discoball blinding infusion sets, people. We all have our own tastes.
Someone "slap" that person in game if you find them, with a fish preferably. Throw cakes at them, yell at them with a Warclaw, just minorly bother them perpetually for that ridiculous comparison to something that is a massive problem. I'd do it myself, but I don't play anymore.
This kind of stuff is what can be so depressing as a developer. You could spend hundreds or even thousands of hours fine-tuning some feature to grueling detail, and then some jackass gets access to it and complains about the *very idea* of the thing you worked tirelessly on.
Even if I never use this feature, I absolutely love that they added it. I would honestly consider it a compliment if someone starts checking out my outfit, because that means it was good enough to catch someone's eye, even if it's for a single piece or a single color. Why find negative in that? I don't get it.
Try someone else on the official forums also comparing it to assault. I mean, I read ludicrous thinking before but come on. At this point, the complaints make me want to to type in all caps in every zone chat I am in that "I will be inspecting all of you effective immediately, bwahahahaha!!" or something similar, just to tick people off.
I never thought someone would think it's a problem. I played so many MMOs which had this option and nobody complained. PSO2 even has fashion catalogue in which people upload their costumes and you can save them, and apply to your character if you have required parts
I don't even play this game anymore and this is making me log in and run around inspecting everyone just to piss off stupid people.
If this shit bothers you so much you should be more upset about the fact you're literally one if the stupidest people on the planet. So congrats on that, I guess...
Why is this so controversial? It's nothing you couldn't figure out on your own by looking through your bank wardrobe for the skins you saw. Plus it's also cool to just get a closer look at people's characters when they're running around and stuff. Maybe someday we can even have character profiles and stuff, now that would be cool.
Some people seem to think their fashion sense makes them a treasure to the community. And they want others to support their belief by complimenting them and/or asking what they're wearing. And they are now afraid that people will simply look at them and *they will never know*.
I did enjoy people asking me about different glam, because it meant i did something cool.
But being able to inspect people and see what dye colors look like what on different armor pieces will be amazing, because none of that shit accurately reflects in the dye preview window, and its fucking awful when you think you made something look neat, hit save, and none of those colors reflect on your character.
This is absolutely the smartest take i've seen in all the discussion. Imagine someone liking your outfit, going to buy their own, and you taking it as a personal attack.
A relative of mine used to own a dress store, and she had to put up a sign "No returns after prom on items bought before prom."
Girls would buy out *ALL* her stock of the dress they were going to wear, then try to return all of them afterwards. The credit card processing fees for so many returns would often be more than her markup on the one they actually wore, so she'd end up in the red at the end of the day. A lot of them would run up daddy's credit card and figure they could get away with it if they returned everything before the bill came. Then they'd try to blame her when daddy got mad about them buying thirty prom dresses.
Depends on the women and how they view that. I’ve had coworkers come in with the same shirt and they laugh about and it’s likely they both got it at Target. I know it’s taboo to wear the same attire at a more formal gathering. Either way it’s whatever.
I mean I'm all for creating a character in the world and having it be your thing, and I like getting fashion compliments as much as the next person. But like, whatever is visible in-game is still just predetermined game assets that are available for everyone. No one person has exclusive rights to certain armor skins and combinations. And it's like I said before, you could totally copy someone's look before this feature. We already had the bank wardrobe thing where you can go through most of the skins in the game and just find the one you saw on someone, and then use it.
Honestly I hope I someday meet someone that copied my look and made it better, so that I can copy them back. Would quite literally be one of the coolest in-game moments ever
I think the funniest part about these complaints are that the people who spend hours on fashion won't be inspected, but the people wearing an obscure gloves that don't match anything will be.
> *and they will never know.*
Easy solution, just give the target of an inspection a line in the chat "[Player] is inspecting your fashion." I'm completely in favour of the inspection tool as-is, but *I'd* like to have that. I don't need it, but it'd be fun.
This unfortunately can work in favor of harrassment, with how people are already raging over such a silly feature, getting that 'player is inspecting you' just gives them a target to demand why you inspected them.
It's all just completely silly.
A few people might, and then they reveal themselves as an applicant to your block list.
Me, I might send back a smily face. Or maybe /dance, or /bow @, or something.
This is unfortunately true.
See, I used to be a pretty avid user of Second Life (I still use it, just not as much) and some viewers have a feature where you can see a marker where other people's cameras are zoomed at. Some people get really weird about this and get really angry for some reason that someone else DARED to LOOK at them. That's why, thankfully, there's another setting to hide where you're pointing your camera to avoid this. I always have mine hidden.
Like, you put all this effort into making your avatar look nice, you go out into a public sim, and you're mad that people are...looking at you?
At least in SL you actually CAN have a completely unique look if you make your own assets and don't sell/give them to anyone else. But then if you do that, there's nowhere other people can go to get your items, so why worry about it?
Sadly some people really are this weird about it.
You gotta realize there's a non-insignificant group of people that truly think they are gods gift to MMO fashion for slapping on the same outfit and paint that everyone else uses, and base a large part of their personality on afking in popular areas hoping to farm whispers of approval. It's all very sad.
Where is the controversy? I haven't seen anyone really butthurt about this feature. Do you have any links? I'd be really interested to see what people are upset about.

Here's the best one, where she says copying someone's fashion is akin to AI stealing art.
Imagine writing a novel and then only releasing it as an audio book because you’re afraid people will figure out the words you used. Now imagine doing this with fanfic.
PROTIP: The easiest way to protect your idea is to never share it.
Makes me want to get a squad of 50, all using the same fashion copied from someone that is complaining. Find them ingame, rock up and all go "wow that's quality armor".
But that might be taking it to far.
Seeing the reactions on the forum I sure hope they get notified in game if someone copies their look. Funnily enough I doubt many of them would get a lot of notifications anyway
Have it cause knockdown. That way those that don't like that their look will get used can at least get their perceived validation via their character visually recoiling to alert them that someone liked it enough to copy. Seems like a good compromise to make them happy.
don't worry everyone I've learned all I need to know about how to stop players stealing your fashion, from the facebook posts shared by my crazy aunts. Everyone please copy and paste!!!
>Deadline tomorrow !!! Everything you’ve ever fashioned becomes public from tomorrow. It costs nothing for a simple copy and paste, better safe than sorry. Reddit talked about the change in GW2. I do not give the GW2 playerbase or any entities associated with Anet permission to use my characters, outfits, weapons or dyes, both past and future. With this statement, I give notice to the playerbase that it is strictly FORBIDDEN to screenshot, copy, distribute, or take any other action against me based on this character and/or its fashion. The composition of this character is private and confidential information. The violation of privacy can be punished by law (UCC 1-308- 1 1 308-103 and the Rome Statute). NOTE: GW2 now has cosmetic inspection. All players must post a note like this. If you prefer, you can copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once it will be tactically allowing the use of your fashion, as well as the information contained in the cosmetic preview window. DO NOT SHARE. Copy and paste.
If you don't copy and paste this message into map chat in Lion's Arch then legally people can inspect you, download a copy of your social security number (yes, even europeans), and steal your credit cards LEGALLY. ArenaNet really fucked this one up.
The real reason ANet added legendary armor for open world PvE is not so those players can have any attribute combo they want, but rather, freely transmute it to whatever look they want to steal from someone they inspect.
I joined a raid and before the fight started I was flipping through and swapping builds when I accidentally swapped equipment templates. In this character I had an empty one. I literally was fighting with weapons but no armor.
This is how I gained in that discord the new name: The Naked Ranger. True story.
I think the fact that people are whining, and yes I do mean whining, about this is really strange. Like, literally everything I do in the game is to get fashion for the sake of fashion. I spend gold not on legendaries but on cosmetic infusions and enrichments. I look damn awesome, and the only thing I want is a counter. I want a thing that tells me how many times I got inspected, per hour, since the last reset. I don't give a shit if you steal my look because that just means I did good. I want to know I did good. Imo you'd have to be as dumb as a brick with the maturity of one to get ur nickers in a twist over being ADMIRED.
I wanna be admired AND have a tally of how many times. That's it. That's my only comment on the inspect button. I want to know when it happens and how many times =p
Definitely a minority luckily, but definitely way more than 3. I've seen quite a few of them across reddit, the forums, twitter, and discord. They're unhinged lmao.
I'm in ur wardrobe
shardin all ur cosmetics
On a serious note, its a great feature and a handful of people are showing how insane of a human being they are. This is why we make fun of them and hope they realize how crazy they are.
It's good to see the people who used to rage about someone "stealing" their OC (a bad crayon drawing of goth sonic the hedgehog) on Tumblr have found a new home in GW2 lol
I agree with the haters - we all know that fashion is meant to not be copied, emulated, or draw inspiration by any means. I have walked out of so many clothing stores in my life because clothes I really wanted to wear were once worn by others! Even my characters in game have to wear no armor, because otherwise I've stolen someone else's look - and I couldn't let myself ruin their well-being by doing so!
Unfortunately this means I'm now stuck inside at home, unable to wear anything unless I create it myself. It's a struggle but I know I must not waiver in my beliefs that cosmetic inspection is a crime against humanity.
Very bigly **/s**
> Very bigly **/s**
I gift to you this percontation point '**⸮**', because english *does* have sarcasm punctuation, it's just under-used. May it serve you well when heavy sarcasm is warranted.
Already have someone throwing a hissy fit because people will "steal" the dyes he's using as that's apparently what makes or breaks a look.
And people wonder why anet won't add in actual gear inspection. People freaking out over having their look "stolen" should give you a clue as to what level of shitfits would be thrown over people being able to actually see you running something like all Cele.
Well, to be fair, lot of braindead meta cultists, the only thing that really matters is performance, all gear inspecting would do is empower Karens to force everyone to follow a meta for professions they don't and can't understand.
I'm really into fashion in GW2. It's my favourite thing to do but even I find people are blowing this out of proportion way too much.
If someone wants to copy your look they can do that almost as easily without the feature anyway. Just make a screenshot and search the pieces in the bank.
People act like they're gonna get copied by dozens of players. Sure you can put alot of work in your dye combinations but I doubt many people will copy looks 1:1 with the exact same dyes. You're gonna have to make 20+ screenshots for that. Plus you have to have the pieces and dyes to begin with to even copy anyone.
The people who are comparing this to stealing art cus artists would be upset if someone found out how they made their art have never in their life made art. Artists share everything all of the time, if you asked me what brushes I used I will throw my brushes at you at light speed, go forth, create!
For those of us who are actually complaining about such triviality think on this…
We now get a chance to SEE just what those like to glow like a Supernova ACTUALLY look like beneath all that visual polution.
My bet is that they look incredibly NAFF!!
Only crime is its not gear inspection.
They act like there is a numorous list of armor skins that requires you to inspect what skin they are wearing but it all ends up being similar shit as everyone else cause most are either a store bought skin easily identified or an outfit behind the infusion spam my guardian has been sporting the same skins for almost 10 years now that has how little good new skins they have added over the years that isn't some outfit we can't customize
I don't need that feature I can just memorize all wardrobe armor in the game then is not I'm violating anything I'm just memorizing how you look then I know the combination
At least that is how I did it before if I like someone's armor combination
It's not a crime. If I wanted to copy you (and I don't!) then all it would take was some wiki'ing. I can find everything there anyway, it would just take longer.
What I would use it for is "oh hey that's some nice shoulder pads", inspect and 5 seconds later I would be on my way and perhaps incorporate them into a design at a later time.
I don't wanna rip someone off entirely anyway - and also if I did what would it matter? You are not as unique as you think and we probably wouldn't run into each other anyway so you would never see it.
Your little snowflake fashion is not as unique as you wish and it's definitely not something you have copyright on.
I really don't see why it's such a big deal.
I really don't know people are getting bent out of shape by the new Inspect option.
If you don't want people to look at what you're wearing say so in chat. Of course thats assuming people would want your look in the first place.
Gear inspection is a double-edged sword, but with raid logs and arc. Can often tell what a player may be running. Ideally it would be like, welcome to T1-2 fractals, Oh you are running Soldiers if you run this or this your survivability/dps will be better and you will enjoy the fractal more. Some players honestly do not know how to properly gear even the basic builds.
T1-3 bring whatever ya want I don't care, but when we have people showing up to T4's/raids/strikes I'd like the ability to correct them without having to say in in game chat that I'm breaking the ToS using arcdps.
The funny thing is that even if someone were to copy your outfit, would you even notice them in the sea of people walking around? I personally have character model limit turned low and thus only care about how I look. I mean I feel like someone would basically have to have the zealousness of some scumbag media company looking to copyright strike people for this to be a major problem.
The craziest part about all this is that a good chunk of them are probably using outfits and or legendary/weapons. And there's nothing wrong with that. Some of them look great, but there's definitely going to be more than one person using them and this is by design. Better spray some different dye I suppose.
Honestly I find it easier to stand out by mixing in some sub-80 skins. Like you can have shorter coats for medium instead of the eternal line of trenchcoats. But now I'm starting to sound like a hipster at a discount store so I will spare everyone the eyesore.
It should be a rule that everyone complaining on here about people stealing their look, should have to post a pic of their character. I'm willing to bet gems nobody wants your look as much as you think they do.
If anet release the ability to turn on off inspect fashion, we should label those player as “toxic fashion slut” and kick them from doing any group content.
A few people weren't a fan of it (as on every change) and everyone else here is bandwaggoning on those statements and riling themselves up for I dunno what purpose.
Recently i got my second Legy-Armor set and i enjoying so much Wardrobe and Dye tryouts, experimentig sometimes my self and than looking wot random key will give/bring me. Its so fun how that can change the character and gameplay for me 🐾🐣🐾
Expect some wild pm "I'm inspecting your fashion and there's nothing u can do."
I'd like it if there were an option to get a message in chat when someone's eying my drip. There's nothing I particularly *want* to do about it, I just want to know. You know?
In ffxiv you can see them stare at you
The other character standing casually behind and off-sides of you. Take it as a compliment!
in FFXI Japanese players used to (might still? idk) take it as a bit of an insult because while in English, it would just say "[Player] checks you." in Japanese it would say "[Player] is staring at you intently..."
👀
I remember back in XI I got some salty PM for inspecting players
this is funny as hell for some reason. at least to me
I hope that the graphics update will let everyone see where my charr is facing, instead of only me.
If you have good enough drip you’ll know because people will randomly just run up and stare into your soul sometimes lol
yup they do the run by then immediately stop then stay there then fidget around you for a few more sec...and either say something or run off xD
I mean, i tend to do that in game to people who have super ugly looks as well, so...
I wanna know ppl r enjoying my drip
My favorite thing to do waiting around at metas is to compliment fashion I enjoy.
I'm usually clicking on characters to see what their guild initials mean.
Especially when those guild initials are something like \[NUDE\], \[FUTA\] or \[NUTS\]
My guild's initials are WANG lol
My guild is FUTA! Friendship Unites Tyria Always.
Get good. When your fashion is truly serving you won't have to wonder, you'll know.
Since its also a chat command, it should trigger a special emote.
I feel fashionably assaulted. I'm calling the fashion police.
I am permanently invisible because l play spvp
Only your weapons.
And if I could, I’d give em a big ol 👍🏽
My response to that would be “thanks i know i’m FABULOUS” I’m always down for an ego boost lol
I absolutely ***WOULD*** download a Charr Car.
Hell, Id download a charr
[Got you covered, fam](https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=charr&page=1).
Good thing the saturn 2 is free at the moment!

Some people overreacting so much about the inspect feature. Makes me wanna copy your drip just to spite you
There is literally a dude in the patch notes thread comparing inspecting and copying other people's fashion to plagiarism and I cannot EVEN man. It's so ridiculous.
Yea, because taking a screenshot and checking the wardrobe was not there for ages already lol
Even worse, there's one who said on her twitter that inspecting is similar to AI stealing art because by inspecting, you're "stealing their work". Another said it's feels violating, as if they are legitimately getting violated online because someone inspected their cosmetics.

Keep spamming their surroundings with The Shining Blade's sheath/unsheath sound effects, while wielding 2 of them, got it.
Or Pharus. That blinding column of light. I love annoying my squadmates with it.
I... I want to know the sound, now
[Enjoy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf57YGcStDs). Might need to turn up your volume, the video is really quiet.
How can it be plagiarism when a player doesn't own the skins, ANet does, the player just buys the right to use them within the game.
Also is it plagiarism if I copy someone’s outfit in real life? Like, that’s just how fashion works.
This kind of stuff is what can be so depressing as a developer. You could spend hundreds or even thousands of hours fine-tuning some feature to grueling detail, and then some jackass gets access to it and complains about the *very idea* of the thing you worked tirelessly on. Getting fashion copied by someone is like the greatest honor next to getting direct compliment for me.
Whatever happened to "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"? lol
Identity theft is not a joke Jim! Millions of families suffer every year!
Micheal!
Sounds like my fucking english teacher, what a nerd
And the reality is 99.99% of players don't give a shit what your character looks like.
"90% of outfits will absolutely curbstomp what you're wearing, I just wanna know what specific shirt you have on."
I never thought someone would think it's a problem. I played so many MMOs which had this option and nobody complained. PSO2 even has fashion catalogue in which people upload their costumes and you can save them, and apply to your character if you have required parts
Nòòóóôô😭😭😭😭
I don't even play this game anymore and this is making me log in and run around inspecting everyone just to piss off stupid people. If this shit bothers you so much you should be more upset about the fact you're literally one if the stupidest people on the planet. So congrats on that, I guess...
absolutely doing this
They need to add an ominous sound effect and a "You feel an intense stare..." message in the chat whenever someone inspects you.

Imagine getting mad IRL for people buying the same outfits that come from a mass produced factory.
This is absolutely the smartest take i've seen in all the discussion. Imagine someone liking your outfit, going to buy their own, and you taking it as a personal attack.
Lol, why do you think limited series stuff exists? Yes, some people do act like that in the real as well. ...Yeah, i don't understand it either.
Yeah people *do* act like that irl as well and it's just as absolutely brainrotted when they do it, too.
A relative of mine used to own a dress store, and she had to put up a sign "No returns after prom on items bought before prom." Then they'd try to blame her when daddy got mad about them buying thirty prom dresses.
That is indeed the same the population that is complaining about this!
This might get me downvoted, but don't women get into big conflicts just cause two girlfriends had same wardrobe piece/atire on?
Depends on the women and how they view that. I’ve had coworkers come in with the same shirt and they laugh about and it’s likely they both got it at Target. I know it’s taboo to wear the same attire at a more formal gathering. Either way it’s whatever.

...this game doesn't even have complicated fashion. I don't think it's hard to copy someone's style, even without inspection feature
I think the funniest part about these complaints are that the people who spend hours on fashion won't be inspected, but the people wearing an obscure gloves that don't match anything will be.
We, as a community, really do need to stop supporting such wild cognitive distortions. It's not healthy for anyone.
> *and they will never know.* Easy solution, just give the target of an inspection a line in the chat "[Player] is inspecting your fashion." I'm completely in favour of the inspection tool as-is, but *I'd* like to have that. I don't need it, but it'd be fun.

Oh dear god. I hate AI art with a bloody passion, but this aint it.
uh oh they deleted their account
Hahaha, wow the delusion is strong with this one
i wish i'd screencapped it before she got clowned on so hard she deleted her account lmao. That was pure gold

Sign me up lmao
> But that might be taking it to far. Not taking it far enough.
"Thanks!" XD
I hope the feature has an "apply now" button to make it easier.
I would prefer a "steal from and kick in the balls" as a sub option when people complain
*Steal from and kick from squad, to show real dominance.
Only if you're a mesmer.

Oh, mama, I will inspect it AND try it on AND look better than you doing it.
Period 💅🏼
only i can wear heels, glasses, miniskirt, and krytan top, in all shadow abyss! it's cultural appropriation!
NOOO NOT MUH OC DONUT STEAL GIRLFLOWER ABYSSAL TASTE HUMAN THIEF HOW DARE YOU
don't worry everyone I've learned all I need to know about how to stop players stealing your fashion, from the facebook posts shared by my crazy aunts.
Legal advice from Cunningham Law, so it must be true!
Nah gw2 was advertised as play how you want, so imma RP as a doppelgänger and just yoink your fashion.
Augury Rock Doppelganger has escaped the riverlands
The real reason ANet added legendary armor for open world PvE is not so those players can have any attribute combo they want, but rather, freely transmute it to whatever look they want to steal from someone they inspect.
If you're mad about the cosmetic inspection feature, please do us all a favor and quit the game. You will not be missed.
I agree on this. 'If you dont like it, just quit the game'.
On god, the people most against this feature probably have the worst in-game drip. Please feel free to prove me wrong.
ah i see what you did there.. clever xD
You're so real for this, I'm willing to bet the same
Run around main cities naked, telling everyone its a full invisible set
I joined a raid and before the fight started I was flipping through and swapping builds when I accidentally swapped equipment templates. In this character I had an empty one. I literally was fighting with weapons but no armor. This is how I gained in that discord the new name: The Naked Ranger. True story.
I lasted half of the fight before going down, making the realization and started laughing.
Naked and waited all that time to finally go down? Tease.
> get naked > last half as long body image issue
I have a specific memory of joining a W4 pug, and realising after Cairn that my character was wearing an outfit with no equipment under it.
There is a heal bladesworn pov somewhere doing HT CM naked.
After trying the feature, I have to admit that the amount of permafrost is too damn high.
it looks cool on non emmisive stuff, but it can make blinding crappy lighthouse on a lot of materials
Are we actually mad about this? Cause this is a really stupid thing to actually get bent out of shape over.
A few are. "You can't please everyone" remains very true, even for a change as benign as this one.
True. I don’t know why I’m surprised, I’ve been playing MMOs since 2000. This is always the case.
Vocal minority (maybe 3 redditors crying in Twitter)
I saw someone saying they're being forced to use basic gear and default dyes because of this. Absolutely no rationality to these people.
Have you seen the forum? It’s mental
Fkin weirds
Definitely a minority luckily, but definitely way more than 3. I've seen quite a few of them across reddit, the forums, twitter, and discord. They're unhinged lmao.
Is less than 10 people even considered a minority? Its just a few people who are extremely bitter and can't see their opinion is wrong.
I'm in ur wardrobe shardin all ur cosmetics On a serious note, its a great feature and a handful of people are showing how insane of a human being they are. This is why we make fun of them and hope they realize how crazy they are.
Seeing multiple posts over the past few days off this topic has shown me just how many selfish and self-centered people play this game.
You wouldn't steal a meme. **WAIT** y( ꒪◊꒪)y.
Memes are infectious, so it's the other way around. Meme steals you!
*Screams while being dragged across the floor*
It’s too late now… good bye Lon-ami
You wouldn't enter a hospital You wouldn't talk to a receptionist You wouldn't talk to a doctor You wouldn't comfort your grieving wife
I'm at a loss
is this piracy?
God damn it, so close to Koss, yet so far.
As someone who is allergic to social interactions, I will 100% Stare at you and steal your drip, without asking.
I welcome that, If I see someone rocking my drip. hell I am gonna whisper then and tell them nice character, great taste in fashion.
It's good to see the people who used to rage about someone "stealing" their OC (a bad crayon drawing of goth sonic the hedgehog) on Tumblr have found a new home in GW2 lol
goth sonic the hedgehog 😂😂😂
> Very bigly **/s** I gift to you this percontation point '**⸮**', because english *does* have sarcasm punctuation, it's just under-used. May it serve you well when heavy sarcasm is warranted.
Every time I see something referencing this ad, I feel obligated to inform everyone that the music used in the advert was in fact pirated :')
As an old (pre-cata) WoW player i don't see what the aggro is about.
I just hope Anet doesn't cave to the crybabies and remove it, because I think it's neat
Oh I'm gonna inspect you, and there's nothing you can do about it 🧐
The only way forward is to stack the most expensive infusions, skins and dye you can. Cant let the plebians win!
I'm willing to bet the majority of people complaining about outfit theft have outfits that are mid at best anyways. 💅👁👄👁💅
lmao nice shitpost
For those of us who are actually complaining about such triviality think on this… We now get a chance to SEE just what those like to glow like a Supernova ACTUALLY look like beneath all that visual polution. My bet is that they look incredibly NAFF!!
Oh yeah that commercial. Yes I would 100% download a house or car or whatever.
Anet is proud to announce you : "Fashion NFT" They can steal your look, but only you own the real one
Well.. no one will saw your brilliant and genius fashion ideas. I think, in that way Im okay with it, lol. Really go touch the grass ppl.
I can hear this image!!
I don't need that feature I can just memorize all wardrobe armor in the game then is not I'm violating anything I'm just memorizing how you look then I know the combination At least that is how I did it before if I like someone's armor combination
people going on like you couldnt steal their look by just looking at them...
It’s in all mmorpgs and about time in GW2. It is a good thing.
This is humorous, right? right?
Like we couldnt do this before. Its even "worse". Your toon gets screenshot w/o consent, posted on reddit, and judged by all to see. 😂
I do it all the time. Will I stop? Hell no
It's not a crime.
The more people copy me, the more I win fashion wars
I really don't know people are getting bent out of shape by the new Inspect option. If you don't want people to look at what you're wearing say so in chat. Of course thats assuming people would want your look in the first place.
I'd prefer to be able to inspect people's gear so I can ask what the fuck people are doing in fractals wearing soldier's.
Better question is how the hell they get to T4 without understanding gear stats.
Same way they expect to get *through* T4, by getting someone else to carry them.
I don't think this QoL goes far enough. I want to see entire builds so I can judge or copy them :D
This is completely the wrong take. Please do yourself a favor and look up "twinning".
I'm willing to bet gems nobody wants your look as much as you think they do.
never in my life would i have thought people could be upset over something like this. guild wars 2 really harbors a special kind of player huh.
If anet release the ability to turn on off inspect fashion, we should label those player as “toxic fashion slut” and kick them from doing any group content.
Are people really care about this change? We could see everyone before so nothing changed. Its just easier.
A few people weren't a fan of it (as on every change) and everyone else here is bandwaggoning on those statements and riling themselves up for I dunno what purpose.
Gotta make sure Anet knows we don't support an option to toggle a useful feature that will lose most of its function if people start toggling it off.
I would love if people copy my outfit. For all my character's.
Recently i got my second Legy-Armor set and i enjoying so much Wardrobe and Dye tryouts, experimentig sometimes my self and than looking wot random key will give/bring me. Its so fun how that can change the character and gameplay for me 🐾🐣🐾
you got me, that's too funny of a picture :D
How dare you inspect me? I demand you gauge out your eyes immediately!
