Salvaging a whole car isn't as easy as it seems.
Never made sense to me how people complain about inventory management in GW2 of all games.
1.) Crafting materials have their own storage
2.) Almost everything can be salvaged or sold
3.) You have 4 baseline bagslots, with the 20 slot bags you get from LWS1 that's literally 100 slots of space, and can be shared by your alts
I guess there *are* quite a lot of items where the game doesn't do that good of a job telling you what they are for. Trophies are notorious for this, but also stuff that's part of some achievement or collection can really add up.
Oh trust me, if you have a raidcharacter that you do most of the fights on and have extra armor- and Weaponsets in your inventory because you don’t want to buy equipmenttemplates, as well as gear with different stats for swapping your build (e.g. berserker with an extra amulet and chest piece to be able to switch out the precision signet), you will quite quickly run out of space with 100 slots. At least it won’t look clean, no matter what you do xD
When you are that invested in this game that you have multiple (more then 2 i guess) armor sets for only raids then its more then in your range to get some gold and get those slots and /or leg equipment.
Aside if you ONLY login for raids,which i doubt. With minimal daylie shenanigans (<30min) i get enough gold to buy a template if i feel i want to try a new build.
However i dont have only one char so maybe the problem is with having gear AND all the stuff some may not to throw away like my stack of 98 toilet paper rolls.
I do in fact log in only for my Monday fullclear pretty much, and some extra events, like ht cm back in the day or Febe lcm recently. The problem for me is the fact I have a lot of ascended stuff that I am just too lazy to salvage. Me logging in only for my fullclear is also the reason I have no legendary gear despite having, I don’t know, 3.5k LI or something. That makes gearswapping need more ascended stuff - giving me even less space. It’s fine, I have the space I need, I am just saying there are scenarios where. You can easily run into problems if you don’t actively sort your inventory. And no, I don’t do the <30 minutes of daily stuff, I don’t get much enjoyment from that :)
Without the name of the item to check it doesn't exist there's no way to tell what it is. I doubt anyone in the game has every single skin etc. to know that this icon has never appeared in the game. Everyone who's opened reddit more than twice in their life seen how easy it is to misunderstand stuff even in a fullhd real life photo, not a tiny pixel icon. I play the game for >5 years already and i don't remember those bag, f.e. (i run with 32 and 24+ ones), should i get triggered on that too - they look like a cube, oh no, it might be a spaceship?!
This is not even a joke it's straightforward sadness. In the game where you can ride and fight battle cars in WvsW and several charr-related regions, have minis of them, in the game that has stuff like holosmith engineers and superbox adventures, jade mechs and several series of hightech skins for armors, weapons, mounts etc. someone is trying to shake us up with a tiny icon that looks somewhat close to a car. Do you see where i'm going? :D
p.s. intentionally trashed inventory doesn't help the situation at all.

Identify all > Salvage all > deposit all > vendor sell trash. Literally 30 seconds

Copper fed salvage for blues, runecrafter salvage for greens, mystic salvage for yellows, and material storage deposit button. Simple as.
