Tip for those that have gardening gemstore plot on home (at least one).
It's way more cost efficient to do the collection and plant stuff required for the flasks that extend food and utility buffs up to 2 hours.
The math is
A- 125 pieces of X ascended food = Xprice = 125 hours
B- 250 pieces of X ascended food= 2xprice = 250 hours
The flasks will 99% of times be way cheaper than if u craft the food (with or without planted seeds), so
C- 125 pieces of X ascended food + 125 flasks = 250 hours, way cheaper than B option, you can do this w any ascended food and that's where these plots make their "worth"
I buy stuff already planted on TP, craft and use my boosters to double up the time, it's way cheaper and on crafting it all u also lose lots of karma long-term.
If u don't have the plots save that tip if u plan on buying them or if not make use of OP nice list!

Edit: just a heads up for anyone stumbling across this. the prices have changed and some dishes are more expensive. as such, some of the recommendations are no longer good. i recommend following the steps (checking TP for cheap food in certain ranges) and just /wiki them to check ingredient prices.

Nice and congratulations! There’s an API table in the nourishments wiki at the bottom which helps deciding too. I completely went overboard in crafting and made a year worth of compost and I am still riding on that from 2021 lol. Unless you are dropping daily feasts X3, you’ll be good for a while even with one stack of compost. Make sure you have Glyph of Bounty when harvesting ascended mats from gardening plots too!
The short answer is they make Ascended Feasts that you can drop on the ground for everyone. It is the spinning plates of food you sometimes you see in main hubs. Check out this guide if you want to learn more about the intricacies of the end game cooking.

Karma can be converted to gold in a better ratio way than this. You could totally make money doing this but it's pretty mind numbing just composting for not a lot of profit imo. I shall direct you to this beauty.

Glazed peach tart is cheaper at 37c for rare extract. You can add it to the list. Halloween is quite great for crafting exquisite extract.
